Figma Seto Kaiba Action Figure: Stop Saving the World and Get this Toy

Max Factory and Good Smile Company begrudgingly present Yugi Muto’s rival and Yu-Gi-Oh‘s ironic dweeb hater, Seto Kaiba.

The 6.5″-tall action figure comes with a Duel Disk, a deck of cards and a briefcase that has slots for the cards. It also comes with two faces and three pairs of eyes. You’ll also get an extra portrait for the Figma Yami Yugi figure if you grab Seto.

You can pre-order the action figure from BigBadToyStore for $80 (USD). But you might want to ship it straight from Good Smile Company instead, because they’ll give you an exclusive Enemy Controller toy as a bonus.

Figma Metal Gear Solid 2 Gurlukovich Soldier: Not so Spetsnaz

Max Factory captures Metal Gear Solid‘s mix of realistic military fiction with Japanese humor in this new Figma of MGS 2’s Gurlukovich Soldier. He’s dressed in full battle gear and comes with a rifle and a knife, but it also comes with a few silly accessories.

The soldier comes with ?, ! and Zzz icons, as well as a magazine. His alternate head has eyes that are literally sparkling. You’ll also get an additional shotgun accessory if you get the figure from Good Smile Company.

Figma Ted Action Figure Is Technically Not a Teddy Bear

Seth MacFarlane’s foul-mouthed thunder buddy has turned into one of the more unusual action figures you’ll ever see. Max Factory’s Figma Ted is based on the character’s appearance in Ted 2. Not only does this toy have articulated eyebrows, it also comes with a beer bottle and a bong. None of Hot Toys’ 6.3 trillion Iron Man figures have any of those.

The figure also comes with smiling, laughing and upset mouths, as well as sitting and standing legs.

Figma Virtua Fighter Akira & Sarah: Attack the Block

Goodsmile continues its run of unorthodox Figma action figures with its latest releases. They’re figures of Akira Yuki and Sarah Bryant in their hilariously awful polygonal bodies from the original Virtua Fighter.

They look ugly now, but – eh, let’s face it. Virtua Fighter was ugly even when it first came out. Fortunately, the arcade hit’s third dimension was more than just for show. It brought along new camera angles and axes and a smooth and fast pace to its genre. So it’s only right that they get homages like this. Both figures come with a standard and a shouting expression, interchangeable hands and an articulated stand.

You can order the action figures from Goodsmile for about $38 (USD) each. Sadly, the arcade machine in the top picture is not included with either figure. Akira and Sarah’s Player 2 costume variants will be available later this year. If Figmas of the FF 7 chibi avatars come out I’m going to become a homeless guy with a really cool toy collection.

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Figma Link is Not in Ravio’s Shop

Good Smile Company must be huge fans of The Legend of Zelda. This new Figma Link, based on the Hero of Time’s appearance in 3DS adventure The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, is the toymaker’s fourth Link action figure.

This Link definitely has an old school look. I prefer Link’s teenage incarnations, like the one in Skyward Sword for instance, but this one’s charming as well. The 4″ action figure is equipped with Ravio’s bracelet, the Master Sword and the Hylian Shield. It also has two swappable heads – one is smiling while the other is dead serious.

Link also comes with a sheet showing him in his painting mode, as well as a pot and a rupee. The toy’s deluxe version also comes with a Tornado Rod, a Hookshot, a bomb and a baby Maiamai.

Michelangelo’s David Figma Action Figure: Watch out, Hulkbuster!

What do Gundam, Groot and King David have in common? They all have action figures. Japanese toymaker Max Factory recently unveiled a Figma action figure of Michelangelo’s world famous statue, so he can join the ranks.

Good Smile Company says great care was taken to preserve the statue’s proportions. You can keep it in its classic pose, but where’s the fun in that? Thankfully the figure comes with alternate hand and sling parts and has moveable eyes, so you can make it look more like the work of Mikey the turtle.

You can pre-order the Figma David figure from Play Asia for $43 (USD). This is actually the third in Figma’s Table Museum series, the first two being The Thinker and Venus De Milo. Both figures are also available from Play Asia.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Link Figma is Earthward

Save yourself from boredom while waiting for the next Legend of Zelda game (or remake) with the official Link Figma. This is an action figure of the Link that links all the other Links: the hero from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

figma link legend of zelda skyward sword

The Figma line is made by the Good Smile Company – arch-enemy of the Bad Frown Individual – and is known for action figures that are highly poseable and faithful to the source material without being expensive. The toy is made from ABS and PVC and is about 5.5″ tall. Link comes with his trademark Master Sword and Hylian Shield, which can both be tucked on his back.

The gallery below also reveals a Figma staple: exchangeable faces. There’s one with Link’s “standard gallant expression” and one with a “powerful shouting face.” I can’t describe them better than that.

I see Link’s been eating heartily. That’s one stiff belly. Good Smile Company says that Figma Link will be available this October for ¥3800 (~$38 USD).
