Boogie Dice Sound-Activated, Self-Rolling Dice: Rock to Roll

Dice cups and dice towers are well and good, but Boogie Dice are more portable while still being convenient. Each Boogie Dice die has a motor inside that lets it roll on its own. By default, Boogie Dice are triggered by a short and loud sound like a clap or a finger snap. They’ll then roll for 2 to 4 seconds.

The inventors of Boogie Dice say they arranged the electronics inside to ensure that the dice remain balanced. They also said while they still have some optimizations to do in this regard, their tests so far have been great.

You’ll be able to customize the dice’s LEDs, roll duration, sleep timer and more via an iOS and Android app.

Aside from sound, you can also set Boogie Dice to roll when it’s picked up, after a certain amount of time expires or even at random. Each die lasts up to 30 minutes per charge and takes about 40 minutes to recharge on the included dock.

The folks behind Boogie Dice are also launching a miniatures game called Bots Battleground alongside the dice. Fortunately you can get the dice separately.

Now all we need are self-shuffling cards. Pledge at least $22 (USD) on Kickstarter to receive one Boogie Dice die and a charging dock as a reward.

Clap-Off Bra Deserves a Standing Ovation

Here’s an invention that would go well with the Clapper: a bra that unclasps when you clap. Now that’s a reason to turn the lights down low. You’d think this gadget would be a hit on the Internet, but its Kickstarter was actually a massive flop. I am disappoint. Or not.

clap off bra by randy sarafan

Instructables member Randy Sarafan posted instructions to make the silly undergarment. But he didn’t come up with the concept; he only tried to replicate a novelty item that’s apparently already being sold in Syrian markets. Here’s a NSFW demo of the bra:

The fact that the bra already exists may be one of the reasons why Randy’s Kickstarter didn’t succeed. We need someone to import the thing; not invent it. Then again I think his cheesy pitch video is mostly to blame. As of now it seems like it’s easier to build the bra than negotiate with the Syrian lingerie experts, so head to Instructables for Randy’s walkthrough.

tokyoflash kisai oto equalizer watch Tokyoflash Sound Sensitive Equalizer Watch
The newest watch from Tokyoflash features a really cool full on equalizer effect. The Tokyoflash OTO Watch is sound reactive, with flashing equalizer type bars on the top and bottom along with colored LED lighting effects that go along with the ambient room sound. You probably want to know how to tell the time too, right? Simple- just read the left four digits, top row then bottom (12:51 and 03:54 above). The two digits on the right side are the seconds, read vertically.

The watch has some other cool features like simple USB charging so you don’t need to swap out annoying watch batteries. You can control the level of sound sensitivity as well as setting it to equalizer only- no time- because in the club time doesn’t matter until it’s time to go. It also has the date and an alarm and comes in a black anodized case with your choice of blue, green, red or amber LED display.
