Mom behind most-watched Facebook Live video visits its HQ

It's only been a few months since Facebook opened up live video streaming to everyone, but with over a billion daily users the emergence of a massive hit was inevitable. Late last week an odd yet charming video stream of Candace Payne amusing herself...

One Selfie Stick to Rule Them All

Ugh. Taking selfies is so much work. If only there was a selfie stick that would do all of the work for you, while you make your duck face. Well apparently there is. The UnREAL Selfie Stick is the selfie stick to end all selfie sticks.

This ultimate selfie assistant has an automatically extending arm, fans that will create a breeze so that your hair can flutter in the wind, even lights.

It isn’t a real product yet, thank God. It’s only a concept design by Thinkmodo, to promote the Lifetime show UnREAL. There’s no indication that the company plans to mass produce it. I beg of them, please, don’t ever produce this. But somehow, I think someone will create an even crazier Selfie Stick. And people will buy it.

Watch Barbie’s Face Evolve Through 56 Years

barbie-through-the-years-small

Nothing related to tech here, but this image is going viral and it’s just interesting, so we’re posting. It’s a compilation of Barbie’s face since 1959, created by Tumbler user Tenaflyviper. As you can see, her mug changed quite a bit. It should come as no surprise anyway, since our tastes and standards for beauty have also changed quite a bit in the last 56 years. We’re not going to enter any sort of sociological discussion here, just showing you guys a neat image. The right response is “huh, look at that”, and then moving on to the next item.

howling-wolf-mask-4169

You guys know about the Three Wolves Howling at the Moon shirt, right? It went pretty viral a few years ago… No? Well, whatever, if you do know it you’ll instantly fall in love with these awesome Wolf Masks. Yes, they’re made to resemble the wolves on the infamous shirt, and will instantly make you a hit among other Internet People that you come across your Halloween parties. It’s made from latex, which means it should be comfortable, and the eye holes are in the neck so that the wolf always looks like it’s howling at the moon. It’s pretty awesome, and it’s $32.50.

Superhydrophobic Coating Deals With Public Urinators

anti-urination-spray

Blackout drunk and full of pee? Here’s what you shouldn’t do: pee on a wall in some alley. That’s just bad manners, bro; it stinks up the neighbourhood and is just plain rude. Residents of the St. Pauli quarter of Hamburg, Germany had had enough of this, so they decided to coat several walls with a superhydrophobic coating that has the effect of making urine splash right back on the urinators, instead of leaking down the surface. Some of these walls have warning signs, others not; we suppose the logic is that peeing on walls should already be a no-no, so why bother with a sign? In any case, it’s an ingenious solution to what is undoubtedly an annoying problem for residents.

We’ve looked at superhydrophobic coatings before, and it’s pretty trippy stuff. It’s nice to see this material being used in novel settings.

Ship Your Enemies Glitter: Give Enemies the Gift of Glitter

Ship Your Enemies Glitter

Send your ex, horrible boss, frenemy, and everyone on your hitlist an envelope filled with glitter. Call it a glitter bomb, if you will. Nobody wants to get glitter on their hands, much less on their clothes and furniture, because they’re a pain to get rid of completely. But if you’re bitter about something and want vengeance for whatever injustice you were made to go through, then head on over to Ship Your Enemies Glitter.

They’ll basically do what their URL says: ship your enemies glitter. Just fork over AUD $10 (that’s about US $8), give them the address of your sworn enemy, and they’ll take care of the rest.

Ship Your Enemies Glitter1

The site has been bombarded with orders since word of its existence spread. They’re pretty backed up at the moment, so maybe you should be doing the glitter bomb-sending yourself…

Chestburster Drive Thru Prank: Would You Like a Side of ‘Alien’ With That?

One of the scariest elements of the Alien franchise has got to be the chestbursters. Even the mere thought of having an alien creature growing and feeding inside you before bursting out of your chest, causing excruciating pain is hair-raising. This holds true, even if you haven’t watched any of the movies, and prankster Rahat is well-aware of this.

That’s probably why he chose to do the alien chestburster prank on unsuspecting drive-thru workers. (On a side note, he’s done a lot of these drive-thru pranks so it’s only a matter of time before they wise up to Rahat’s ways, right?) Check out the reaction that his prank elicits from the drive-thru people, some of them are just priceless!

Adorably Horrifying: Kittens and Sloths Make Slittens

Slittens

Got a case of the Monday blues? Then head on over to Slittens and turn that frown upside down. No, that’s not a link to a gallery of adorable kittens or baby animals (although checking those out isn’t a bad idea either.) Rather, you’ll find yourself starting at photo after photo of a new breed of animals called slittens. Okay, so they might look freaky at first glance, but they’ll eventually grow on you.

What are slittens?, you might ask. I’ve never heard of them before. Well, they’re basically what you get when kittens and sloths come together–not naturally, of course, but by the wonders of PhotoShop.

They’re creepy, bizarre, and even a little cute. You can check out more pics at Slittens.
