Vivitek has recently released a new home cinema projector, the H1185HD. Adopting the DLP display technology, this 3D-ready projector supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and provides 2500 ANSI lumens brightness, 10000:1 contrast ratio and up to 5,000 hours of lamp life (Eco Mode). It also comes with a built-in 10W SRS WOW speaker and has a number of connectivity ports including 2x HDMI, Component, D-Sub, S-Video, Composite, RCA Audio and Stereo Mini Jack. The D7180HD is the latest short-throw projector from Vivitek. Adopting the DLP display technology, this short-throw projector is able to display up to a 97-inch image from only inches from the screen. Apart from that, it also provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 3400 ANSI lumens brightness, 2500:1 contrast ratio and up to 4,000 hours of lamp life. If diminutive, portable projectors catch your eye on the regular, Vivitek's latest may be worth a gander. The outfit has announced the Qumi Q7 HD LED pocket projector at CES, touting up to 800 lumens of brightness and a 30,000:1 contrast ratio. Packing 720p native WXGA resolution at 1,280 x 800, the unit is also 3D-capable thanks to Texas Instrument's DLP Link and sports 2D to 3D content conversion tech. In terms of connections, the Q7 wields HDMI, VGA, composite video, RCA audio-in and USB ports alongside 4GB of built-in storage. All of this is packed into a 3.1-pound (1.4kg) frame that measures 6.3 inches (16cm) x 4.3 inches (10.9cm) and is 1.3 inches (3.3cm) thick. Designed for large venues and conference rooms, this interchangeable lens projector (6 types of lenses) delivers 1920 x 1200 native resolution, 8000 ANSI lumens brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio and provides up to 2,500 hours of lamp life (Eco Mode). In terms of connectivity ports, it offers HDMI, DVI-D, Component, VGA, RS-232C, RJ-45 and HDSDI in/out. The D8800 is priced at 13,900 Euro (about $17,474). [Vivitek]

Aimed at business market, this new projector delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 4200 ANSI lumens brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio and provides up to 2,000 hours of lamp life (Normal Mode). Not only that, it also comes with two built-in 3W stereo speakers and a number of connectivity ports including HDMI, DVI-D, Component, 5x BNC, 2x D-Sub, S-Video, Composite, RCA and 3x Stereo Mini Jack.
