McDonald’s Korea just launched a limited-edition Big Mac-inspired stackable lunchbox!

If you think about it, a burger is a stackable product too… so it wasn’t going to be long before someone drew the parallel and made a burger-shaped stackable tiffin box!

It seems like that brainwave came to McDonald’s Korea, which just unveiled the limited-edition lunchbox inspired by their iconic burger. The lunchbox comes with vertically stackable containers, celebrating the traditional Korean ‘dosirak’, a portioned lunchbox quite similar to the Japanese bento box. Its circular, vertically stackable shape allows it to perfectly mirror the stackable design of a burger, with orange containers with artwork on the side resembling patties leaves, and sauces, while the lid on top comes with a sesame seed pattern to complete the visual experience!

The lunchbox sports two containers that lock together using clasps, with a sesame-bun cover on the top and two fold-out handles to carry the box around. The two containers have separate lids of their own too, helping retain heat while ensuring that liquids or gravies don’t leak out during transit.

For a limited time, Korean patrons of the global fast-food giant can get their hands on this quirky lunchbox for ₩7,500 KRW (approximately $7 USD) upon purchase of a Big Mac or a Big Mac Bacon. I’m lovin’ it!

McDonald’s Testing a Big Mac “ATM”

What the!? ATMs are for money. Now they’re for burgers? Yep, now you can go to the ATM and get some money, then go to another ATM and get a Big Mac. The circle is now complete. In this case, ATM must stand for Artery Terrorizing Machine.

Yes, this is real. On January 31st, hungry people in Boston will have the opportunity to order McDonald’s Big Macs from a vending machine like this one. You can select from a Big Mac, a Mac Jr, or a Grand Mac. Obviously if it does well, you’ll eventually see these all over the place, in and out of McDonald’s.

It won’t be long until you be able to get fries, shakes, Happy Meals, Filet ‘O Fishes, Egg McMuffins, and everything else from an Mickey D’s ATM. But is it still McDonald’s if the food isn’t served by a pimply faced college kid?

Big Mac Gives the Finger to Molten Copper

I used to get so excited growing up when we were going out to McDonalds. It was really all about the fries and the playground for me. Today going to McDonalds means that I’m broke and in need of a cheap hamburger to avoid eating that crappy turkey sandwich I packed for lunch. I’ve always wondered exactly what was in the food at McDonalds that has made it so consistent over the years. One dude came up with the random idea of pouring molten copper on a Big Mac to see what might happen to its two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

As it turns out it is rather hard to destroy a Big Mac with molten copper. The Mac has to be taken apart before it really starts to give in to the copper.

This seems like a waste of some copper that has to be worth a good bit of money to me. The video is fun to watch, at least if you can see through the smoke.
