When Pottery Barn and Airstream join forces to create a travel trailer experience, it is bound to be remarkable. Airstream has long been associated with staycations and camping experiences; however, the pandemic has brought on a wave of wanderlust, and the influx of glamping culture means the humble RV was due for a luxury revamp just about now! Named the Pottery Barn Special Edition Trailer, this design showcases “casual sophistication” and is meant for adventure addicts who fancy the style and luxury of living life king-size. According to Marta Benson, President of Pottery Barn, “We were as excited as our customers to see how we could apply Pottery Barn’s design expertise to Airstream’s live anywhere mentality, and we couldn’t be more excited about the results.”

A study conducted by the RV Industry Association (RVIA) reveals that RV ownership has increased by more than 62 percent in the past two decades. The Pacific Coast Highway inspires this special edition and is based on the Airstream’s 28-foot International model. The trailer is built for couples and solo travelers as it features queen or twin bed sleeping configurations. In addition to that, the airy interior space can accommodate up to 4 guests in the rest of the cabin. The interiors of the travel trailer are draped in Pottery Barn’s matte-black pull-down faucet, a stainless-steel flat apron sink, and solid walnut cutting board sink cover. Pottery Barn influences everywhere, right from the 16-piece Mason Stoneware Dinnerware Set, solid oak dinette table inspired by their Benchwright Dining Collection, to the couch with custom cushions inspired by Pottery Barn’s Big Sur Collection the bedroom’s single queen/two twin beds enveloped in Belgian Flax linens.

Built on the Tacoma bed by Marty Schwerter and his team at Motorsports Garage, the modern overloading TRD-Sport Trailer is going to capture the imagination of enthusiastic adventurers. It is every creative Overlanding explorer’s delight for the smoothness and fineness with which this rugged camper trailer can reach a remote location and setup into a residence for the travelers instantly. Making the best use of all the possible nooks and corners of the available space, Toyota has managed a travel trailer that can be home away from home complete with a slide-out cooling stove, and sink with running water, a refrigerator, a camping toilet, mobile shower with a curtain separation. The trailer has its own running hot water supply from a 16-gallon freshwater tank, and also features a 15-gallon grey water tank.

Earth Traveler Teardrop Trailers is custom-building such campers that are perfect for anyone who wants to travel light, without compromising space and basic amenities. This dream is what led to the beautifully-designed Lume Traveler.” The niche aspect of the trailer sitting on Knott chassis and 15-inch wheels is the soft-top fabric convertible roof (6-foot long and 3.6 foot wide) that lets you enjoy panoramic views of the night sky on the adjustable double bed after a tiring day’s journey. To make sure you don’t have bugs and insects infesting the interiors, there’s a built-in transparent screen to keep them out. On the inside, the trailer is as plush as it can get – the teak flooring, leather rear wall and the gray walls featuring soft dirt-repellent wool felt roll-up curtains. You can also go for the trim options for the rear wall that include wood and linen, or the oak and linoleum flooring option.

To the outside is where a foodie would be tempted to go on a bright sunny day for cooking a sumptuous meal. Lume Traveler’s rear opens up to reveal the expansive kitchen area that has everything you would want from a luxury apartment. It has the PITT gas burners, washbasin, faucet, the cutting board lid that doubles as a sink, and a gas grill connected with the extra gas connection. Down below sits a 40-liter fridge concealed underneath the counter area on one side. Adjacent to it is the upper storage section for cookware and dishes.

The 100-Watt solar panel on top of the roof takes care of all the energy requirements for a seamless life on the road. For buyers who don’t want to stop at all those conveniences, there’s the optional 32-in flat screen, Wi-Fi connectivity, or a seven-speaker Bose audio system. The flagship trim of the Lume Traveler costs around $53,500 while the basic one comes for $47,700, and if you want the barebones version with nothing inside so that you can tailor it to your liking, you’ll have to shell out $32,500.

But when you contemplate camping, the thought of wind and elements rattling you out of your slumber are thoughts that begin to mar the experience even before you’ve tread off the beaten path. To falsify that assumption, and to make an experience worth every bit of your time – a Southern Californian company RKS has designed and developed the Purpose off-road trailer with a rooftop deck where you can party during the day, and pitch a two men tent by the night!

RKS has hand-crafted a durable and lightweight Purpose camping trailer to take the outdoor enthusiasts way beyond the limitations of the tarred roads. Trading the wooden façade for an all-aluminum honeycomb paneled body, this 17-foot 3-inch trailer is designed to provide adventurists ultimate luxury and solitude simultaneously. The walls on the inside are insulated with memory foam, windows are covered with shades, and the comfortable queen-sized memory foam mattress is provided to sleep in coziness indoors. It measures 4-foot 3-inches high at the sleeping area and near the entrance, whereas the trailer pops open with four windows for view and ventilation that rises to 7 feet.

Under the pop-up roof is the entryway and bathroom – the latter featuring a ceramic macerator toilet and a shower that extends to the outside.
