Apple Glass AR designed to give homage to the retro glasses Steve Jobs wore!

Antonio De Rosa and Apple concepts are the perfect smoothies we love and the Italian designer has surprised me again. This time Antonio has gone for a piece of concept that has a lot of nostalgia as well as the historical value attached to it. Meet the Apple glass concept that pays homage to Steve Jobs favorite pair of prescription glasses – the Lunor Classic PP. Apple co-founder was obsessed with this eyewear ever since he got influenced by the ways of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi – who apparently shaped up Steve’s very thought process. After the turmoil of being fired by the board of Apple, he got the pair of circular wire-rim glasses to emulate his hero and ultimately returned stronger than ever as the CEO of Apple. Later on, Steve switched to the rimless brand Lunor Ideal i 380.

Combine that iconic piece of historical magnificence with the brewing rumors of the Apple AR eyeglasses, and it makes for a perfect case. Yes, this concept by Antonio makes even more sense since the world is expecting the augmented reality glasses by Apple to be announced as soon as this year. Having them in the Lunor Classic PP theme will be the apt strategy to go for if Apple is reading this piece. The AR glasses are in the second phase of testing since the start of this year and now this concept design weights its worth in gold. The rounded glass frame coincides with the rumor last year by trusted leakster Jon Prosser who claimed that Apple is working on Steve Jobs Heritage Edition AR eyeglasses.

These countered glasses look absolutely stylish for the generation next crowd- with the frame crafted from lightweight aluminum and the lenses made out of polycarbonate material. The technology of these wearables is honed by an array of six cameras with autofocus lenses, an eye-tracking system with HDR, and gesture recognition. The glasses even track your calorie intake and health status. Coming onto the cameras, two cameras are tucked in the nose-piece assemblies and the other two on the opposite side of each nose piece. Other cameras and sensors take a position in the crossbar connecting the two lenses. What I like the most besides the glasses is the AirPods style charging case for them!

Apple ActionCam with advanced functionality could be GoPro’s nemesis





Think of action cameras, and the first name that instantly pops up is GoPro Hero. If you are obsessed with the nerdy action cams on the market, then DJI Osmo and Insta360 are the subsequent best bets for your crazy adventures or sporting activities. While dethroning GoPro is an arduous task – what if  Apple ever decided to make an action camera that actually resonates with the current userbase? The result will be an action cam that leverages Apple’s hardware and software prowess!

Italian designer Antonio De Rosa believes an Apple action cam is a realistic possibility in a landscape of current-gen geeky gadgets. Apple and an action cam would not be something out of the ordinary for the Cupertino giant to create. So, Antonio leaves me in awe with the Apple AirCam, which is no more significant than the AirPods Pro case. It carries a similar design language to the case with the obvious addition of an LCD screen display on the front and the big camera sensor on the backside. If you look closely, this lens is accompanied by a small Apple Watch-like screen, perhaps to click selfies and display vital heads-up information. There is a single shutter button on top to keep things as simple as possible. On the sides, there is space for USB-C and SHDC card slots to make data transfer seamless and load the camera with additional memory.

Since we are talking about an Apple action camera sometime in the future, it has got to have wireless charging for sure. Current GoPro versions use 16mm f/2.8 lens with 4K @60fps or 5K @30fps video shooting capabilities. Apple ActionCam needs to be better than that if we assume it’s going to arrive in 2022. Functionality-wise, Siri voice assistant support and Memoji options are a given. Antonio imagines the Apple action camera in striking military green, bubblegum pink, sea green, cool blue, and silver colors. So, would I want to have this thing in my backpack at all times? A definite yes!

Meet Apple Money gadget, Apple’s entry into the high-paced world of cryptocurrency mining + storage!





According to a research report by RBC Capital Markets, Apple’s market value could rise by almost 25 percent if it brings the cryptocurrency platform to its ecosystem. Given the Cupertino giant has an ultra-secure wallet app, the move could make the USA the global leader in crypto assets. This fact is further strengthened by the trust shown by Elon Musk in bitcoin, who bought $1.5 billion worth of cryptocurrency, shaking the future of digital money prospects. Apple has treaded with caution regarding digital currency, as they banned cryptocurrency wallets from App Store in 2014. However, they revised the decision as some faith in digital money was reclaimed and now allowed transactions with certain restrictions. For example, it is not allowed to mine cryptocurrencies on iPhones or to use an Apple Card credit card for any cryptocurrency purchases.

Now there are some rumors in the air that Apple could enter the cryptocurrency market fair and square. So how would the ecosystem look like if it were to happen? Creative director Antonio De Rosa gives our imagination wings with his ideation for Apple Money, the currency, and the electronic wallet that’ll make it all possible. The designer believes Apple Money will be available on the Apple Card+, scanned via the sleek gadget made out of aluminum, carrying the company’s signature design language. It’ll be connected to the Apple devices to create a mining ecosystem, one which is found in a decentralized family ecosystem. The device will be powered by the Apple Security Chip S2, capable of managing 27 assets and ERC20 tokens. Connected and approved devices will mine the digital money via a seamless app, keeping everything in the Apple ecosystem.

The Apple Money gadget will get a stylish cover in lively colors to match other Apple gadgets you already love. Antonio’s vision is reasonably practical with a product design to match the functionality. While we are not fans of the thickness of this device, the rumors about the newest M2 chip mean I can imagine this as a sleeker, slimmer version of itself. So would you actually want to have Apple Money in your arsenal in the near future?

Unusual Apple iPhone 13 M1 render finally ditches the notch… for a bump.





Whoever says ‘beauty comes from within’ makes a rather compelling case for this iPhone 13 concept, because it surely is, well… unconventional on the outside. Marking a clear departure from Apple’s old style of iPhones, this concept by Antonio De Rosa ushers in a new age for a new iPhone – the M1 iPhone. The ‘beauty on the inside’ for this concept is surely its M1 chip, which has definitely made a massive splash with the rest of Apple’s high-end consumer electronics… while the design change in question is in the very product’s silhouette. Unlike every previous iPhone, which has had a rounded rectangle shape from the get-go, the iPhone 13 comes with an outward notch that houses its front-facing camera.

This is probably the most unusual camera bump I’ve ever come across because for once, it isn’t on the back of the phone… it’s on the top. Marking a rather clear deviation from the design trend of the iPhones before it, the iPhone 13 concept tries to do things differently by breaking the mold and probably questioning those self-evident rules of smartphone design. The video which De Rosa put together for his concept highlights the beauty in ‘strangeness’ by looking to nature, which is filled with strange things too. His reinterpretation of the iPhone brings about the same feeling as you would get seeing an unusual animal or plant. It makes you curious, makes you question it, and makes you give it your 100% undivided attention.

That isn’t to say that I completely approve of this design direction. I like it, but I’m not sure if my reasons for liking it are based on logic or on sheer emotion. It’s clearly ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking – literally too… and maybe that’s enough to make people really like this concept. It isn’t conforming, it isn’t a sheep. It’s unique and has character, standing out against a sea of smartphones that look absolutely identical when viewed from the front. No matter how you cut it, the iPhone 13 looks unique – from the front, the back, and even the sides.

The bump serves a practical purpose too. For once, the modern iPhone doesn’t have a notch. The iPhone 13 comes with a complete screen, as all the cameras and sensors that enable FaceID sit on top, within that tiny 3-4 millimeter bump. Looking beyond it, however, the phone comes with speakers on the top as well as the bottom. The camera bump shifts slightly upward too, ensuring it’s perfectly aligned with the raised edge, thanks to the bump. Lastly, the conceptual phone flexes its muscles with its greatest feature yet, the Apple-made M1 chip.

Apple’s slated to debut the iPhone 13 in the fall of 2021, although an M1 iPhone is probably a distant dream for now (Rene Ritchie explains why). However, that’s never stopped concept creators like Antonio De Rosa from making their own concepts that embody what they themselves are looking for in future iPhones… and personally, I’m here for this upward camera bump! It’s probably practical design-wise, but my positive response to it is more reptilian than logical.
