LEGO Machine Draws Custom Christmas Cards

Don’t you have enough to do this Christmas without having to worry about Christmas cards? The answer is yes. So build a LEGO machine that will handle all of your holiday card needs. That is what this Mindstorms assistant does.

This machine churns out Christmas cards like an elf churns out toys. It was designed and built by 14-year-old Sanjay Seshan and his 12-year-old brother Arvind. It’s called the Holiday Card PLOTT3R and it can print multiple designs including a festive tree and a snowflake, which is pretty much required on Christmas cards. It will even sign Santa’s name for you.

You still have to mail your cards out, but at least it does the rest. And you got to play with LEGO blocks. So it’s a win win. It would be a fun project for the holiday. While they didn’t provide build details for this specific machine, there are instructions for creating a non-holiday version, called the PIX3L PLOTT3R over on the Seshan brothers’ website.

Jon Snow

With winter already upon the seven kingdoms (in the TV show as well), it makes for a perfect connection between the TV Show Game of Thrones and Christmas time. These 12 cards make perfect sense and are a lot of fun as well.

He’s probably tired of being told that. But now does she’s dead, he does miss her

Westeros is actually pretty huge. Even the Vale of Arryn (The Falcon, moon and mountains hint to that) is pretty big

Night’s Watch sounds good in about any context

The Freys do deserve to see the Twins go down in Dragon flame

Cersei has been drinking quite a lot lately

In the cruel world of Game of Thrones, I doubt angels actually exist

Christmas time and winter are a dream setting for any normal White Walker

Daenerys is in a city right now, but when will she get to Westeros?

The only kid who saw that happening got pushed out of a window

Confusing card: Antlers (Baratheons) but a Stark saying…

No need explaining this one

Star Wars Christmas Cards: Happy Hothidays

Christmas is here and if you think you might need to send out Christmas cards this year, and you happen to be a geek get your credit card ready. Artist P.J. McQuade is selling some very cool Christmas cards over on Etsy. These cards feature some of the most popular and famous scenes from the Star Wars films, updated for the holidays.

The cards show representations of famous Star Wars characters in holiday guise. I particularly like Chewie with the reindeer horns on his head. I also like the slave Leia card and the Yoda card. Really, I like them all.

There is even a card with Mos Eisley celebrating Christmas and the Jabba the Hutt decked out in his Santa hat.

These cards can be purchased for $5 each and in packages with multiple cards of one type or mixed sets with all different cards. These will certainly be the coolest cards anyone you know gets for Christmas.
