Meet the world’s first levitating bluetooth speaker! The OM/ONE is a spherical shaped speaker measuring 3.6″ across that levitates atop a glowing base. How does it work? Magnets of course. How do magnets work? Ask ICP about that one. Anyway, it looks like something from the future. There’s a certain intrigue about things that levitate that you can’t help but be curious about. The other neat thing is that you can remove the sphere and take it anywhere without the base. It has a 15 hour battery life per charge. The speaker will work with the newest Bluetooth 4.0 standard which allows you to pair 2 of them together for full stereo sound. Like most bluetooth speakers these days, it also functions as a speaker and microphone for conference calling and other uses with your smartphone. How cool would this be sitting in the middle of the table in your conference room? Or living room. A post-modern piece of technology that’s also a conversation piece. If you have a smaller backyard you probably only have enough room for either a pool or a patch of grass. But if you had this futuristic inground swimming pool, you can have both! The pool has a retractable cover that has a lawn built right on top of it. The top slides right off the pool and under the deck when you’re ready for a swim. When you’re not swimming, just put your lawn back (make sure everyone’s out of the pool first, that would suck to get stuck in there).

We can’t find any further information on this pool beyond just the video above demonstrating it’s awesomeness but I’m sure if you have a lot of money but not a lot of space, you can find someone willing to build this contraption for you. (via gizmodo)

That’s cool, I really like the cut of that kite’s jib. The kite comes with over 150 feet of string and a handle for easy flying. Just take it out on a windy day and thar she blows landlubbers. Definitely a unique head turning kite.

So sweet! The Force is strong with this one. These balloon AT-AT walkers were created by Balloon Guy Entertainment and just might be the coolest balloon “animal” ever. The toddler strikes back. Maybe the Empire would have been more successful in the Battle of Hoth if they used inflatable AT-AT’s instead of armored ones. They could just float over the rebel ships. Ok maybe not. I’d love a whole fleet of these but unfortunately I can barely even blow up a balloon, much less tie them up into shapes. Leave that to the experts. (via technabob)
