Velveeta Cheese-Scented Nail Polish: Finger Lickin’ Good

Available as a limited-edition collaboration between Velveeta and Nails.INC, the Pinkies Out Polish Creamy Smooth Cheese Scented Nail Polish Duo is a $15 two-pack of Velveeta-inspired nail polish that smells like cheese when dried. The pinnacle of human achievement: we’ve finally reached it. I never imagined it would happen in my lifetime, yet here we are.

Per Velveeta’s official announcement: “What’s up, mother forkers – We’re introducing the world to Velveeta Pinkies Out Polish, a red and yellow cheese-scented polish that’s bold, over-the-top, and made to stand out with your smallest finger out. That’s #LaDolceVelveeta.” Wow, first we reach the pinnacle of human achievement, then I’m addressed by a cheese company as a ‘mother forker’ – today is just full of surprises.

So, the question remains: if my wife is wearing Velveeta cheese-scented nail polish, am I going to try nibbling her fingernails when she puts her arm around me? That remains to be seen. Or, in my case, tasted. So yes, the answer is yes – I am absolutely going to do that.

Nokia Lumia screens tout Synaptics tech for gloves-on use, 920 adds outdoor-friendly brightness

Nokia Lumia screens tout Synaptics tech for gloveson use, 920 adds outdoorfriendly brightness

Everyone who regularly deals with cold winters knows the pain of using a smartphone in January -- you're usually forced to take your gloves off and risk frostbite if that call just can't wait. Nokia's new Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 phones bring in a Synaptics ClearPad Series 3 sensor whose responsiveness will keep those hands toasty. Super Sensitive Touch, as Nokia calls it, lets the capacitive surface react to more than just direct skin contact: it can recognize input through gloves, as well as from those with long fingernails. You'll want to spring for the Lumia 920 if you envision updating Twitter during a sunny skiing trip, however. On top of that extra-large 1,280 x 768 resolution, the 920's PureMotion HD+ display is reportedly about 25 percent brighter than its next-best rival. We're looking forward to a real field test -- not to mention preserving all the feeling in our fingers.

Breaking Bad Fingernails Make a Meth of Girl’s Fingertips

The season five premiere of Breaking Bad aired last night, and if you watched it then you know that it was as good as it has always been (I won’t spoil it for those of you who still haven’t seen it.) The show is as addictive as the meth that Walter and Jesse make after all. A lot of people like nail artist Kayleigh O’Connor have just recently started watching the show. She caught up fast of course. AND she decorated her fingernails for the season premiere.
Breaking bad nails
Wow, she must really love the show. Her nails all have some of the show’s elements, like the logo and some fake “Blue Sky” meth. Walter White would be so proud.

Watching the entire first four seasons within a short period of time pretty much ruined her work schedule, so she deserves some cool nails.

Google patent application could give Project Glass one true ring controller to rule them all

Image

Let's face it: right now, the head nods and other rudimentary controls of Google's Project Glass are mostly useful for looking good, sharing photos and not much else. A US patent application submitted last September and just now published, however, raises the possibility of more sophisticated control coming from your hands. A ring, a bracelet or a even a fake fingernail with an infrared-reflective layer would serve as a gesture control marker for a receiver on heads-up display glasses. Having this extra control would give the glasses-mounted computing room to grow by learning gestures, and it could even depend on multiple ornaments for more sophisticated commands -- at least, if you don't mind looking like a very nerdy Liberace. We can imagine the headaches a hand-based method might cause for very enthusiastic talkers, among other possible hiccups, so don't be surprised if Project Glass goes without any kind of ring input. That said, we suspect that Sauron would approve.

R2-D2 Fingernails Have a Secret Message to Deliver

These nails are not especially beautiful without their Star Wars coating, but with tiny astromech droids painted on them, they became wonderful!  Plenty of people have painted their entire bodies to look like R2-D2 (what?) but not many have been able to pull of R2-D2 nails like this.  I would have passed out from the smell of the nail polish by the time I was done with my index finger.  ”That’s just because you tried to paint your face with it.”  GO GO GO!  *Rambo camo on face, jumps out of a second story window*

r2d2

R2-D2 is that spunky robot with a personality that makes the ladies swoon.  ”He’s not that cool.”  Yeah, well next time a beautiful woman paints your body on her fingernails, call me.  And then call the police and get a restraining order, because you have a serious problem that you need to nip in the bud.

The detail of these nails is pretty impressive – better than I can do, anyway.  I was at a loss when I tried to find who is responsible for these beauties, so if anyone reading this would like to take credit, go ahead.  Then, for verification, we’ll need to send you a glove to try on.  ”It does not FIT!  YOU MUST ACQUIT!”  Oh, no, O.J.  I am going to make this glove fit your hand if it is the last thing I do.  Get the WD-40 and the shrink ray.  ”We don’t have a shrink ray.”  DON’T ARGUE, JUST GET IT DONE!

If you love these nails, then you’ll be infatuated with the R2-D2 Ballerina Costume and the R2-D2 Short Shorts. We love short shorts!  *Clapping*  I love short shorts!  *Clapping*
