Magnets Turn Your Fridge Into Giant GameBoy

Imanes-Game-Boy-1

This isn’t going to look so hot on a stainless steel fridge, but if you’ve got the white version, the FreezerBoy Refrigerator Magnets will give it some gamer appeal. It’s a set of magnets meant to emulate the look of a GameBoy, with the screen measuring 16inches by 12 inches. Being magnets, they’ll leave no trace on your fridge when you remove them, and at $20 for the set of 6, you’re looking at a pretty inexpensive way to add some geeky flair to your home.

Han Solo In Carbonite Fridge Is Smaller, Keeps Food Cold AND Warm

han-fridge-2

We’ve written about a ‘Han Solo Frozen in Carbonite Fridge’ before. But that was a full-size unit, and it wasn’t even a real product. Now Thinkgeek is bringing an actual, working fridge, with Han Solo frozen for all eternity plastered on front. It’s a smaller unit, and it has two settings, cold and warm, so you can keep your items at either temperature.

– Has a warm and a cool setting for keeping food either warm or cold
– Rubber feet to protect surface
– Red LED lighting on front (switch on back in case you don’t want it)
– 2 removable shelves
– Top handle for portability
– Locking door to prevent spillage (push the second instrument panel in to release)
– Capacity: 18 cans of soda (with shelves removed)

It’s a cool product, and it would fit right in to someone’s dorm room, rec room, or office. It’s $149.

Toolbox Fridge Looks Right At Home In Your Garage

toolbox_fridge_1

Your garage is like your second home. It’s where you work on your car, and where you go to get away from it all. It’s your sanctuary and you’ve spent a fortune buying only the best tool boxes and tools. You could fit a regular fridge in there for refreshments and such… but why not just go with the Versional Portable Garage Toolbox? It’s a small fridge that looks just like one of your toolboxes, but features a cooling compartment large enough to fit a bunch of stuff. There’s even three drawers up top, so it’s not completely just a gimmick. It’s painted the same kind of red or blue that many of the most popular toolboxes are painted, so you can sneak a beer or five on the sly without the spouse ever knowing a thing. Not that you should have to hide your drinking habits from your significant others, but hey, that’s marriage sometimes. What’re you gonna do?

It’s $400 and measures 17″W x 18 3/4″D x 31 11/16″H.

This Borg Cube Fridge Is All The Refrigeration A Trekkie Needs

star_trek_borg_cube_fridge_1

“The first officially publicized Federation contact with a Borg cube took place in 2365, when the USS Enterprise-D encountered a single cube in System J-25.” This much we know thanks to Google and the first wiki we came across, but we’ll confess to not being familiar with Borg cubes. Seeing as it does look rather cool though, we decided to tell the Trekkies in our audience that they can get a tiny one that doubles as not only a fridge, but also a food warmer. Measuring only 11.5″ on each side, this cube won’t hold a ton of food, and we don’t even really know how it keeps food warm… but we suppose a cramped dorm room might be appropriate for something like this. It does glow green behind the Borg coating, as well as inside. The door does lock to prevent spillage, while the rubber feet prevent it from sliding around. It’s… as good as things are going to get for a mini Borg cube fridge we suppose, and we’re glad Thinkgeek is only asking $150 for it.

Rubik’s Cube Mini-Fridge

rubiks fridge Rubiks Cube Mini Fridge
Looking to solve the problem of what’s for lunch? Look no further than inside your own personal Rubik’s Cube Fridge. This 11.5″ cubed fridge not only has a setting to keep foods cold but you can also turn the dial to keep foods warm instead. That’s puzzling. I guess it’s not technically a fridge then? It’s more than a fridge. So much more. Hot or cold, this is one cool way to keep your food or drinks at an appropriate temperature.
rubiks cube fridge Rubiks Cube Mini Fridge
It holds up to 9 cans of soda or 18 Rubik’s cubes. Why you’d need to keep your Rubik’s cubes cold is really your own (very confusing) business. This mini-fridge also comes with both a standard AC plug and an 12v power cord for use in your car. Probably ideal if you drive a Nissan Cube. Unfortunately this cube can never be solved and it doesn’t even have stickers to remove like a real Rubik’s cube- you know you did that. And definitely don’t try to take it apart with a screwdriver either. We’re on to you. Cool stuff right there.

App Controlled Smart Egg Tray

smart egg tray App Controlled Smart Egg Tray
Do you use a lot of eggs in your home but on an irregular basis? Do you get to the supermarket and rack your brain trying to remember if you needed eggs or not? Eggsactly. There’s a technology solution to this fairly specific problem- the Egg Minder Smart Egg Tray. This is the egg tray that connects with an iPhone/Android app to tell you how many eggs you have left.
egg minder app App Controlled Smart Egg Tray
There’s also an LED light next to each egg that tells you which is the oldest egg (use that one first!) The app can be set to send you push notifications if you’re running low on eggs (a true eggmergency) and can tell you when your eggs are going bad. Sure it might be slightly ridiculous and tech overkill but why not switch your home to a smart home anywhere you can? Be an early eggdapter..I mean adopter.

Doctor Who Tardis Mini-Fridge

This is the coolest, geekiest, and most British way to keep your drinks cool at your desk. The Doctor Who TARDIS Mini Fridge Doctor Who Tardis Mini Fridge is a tiny replica of the police call box from the famed TV series and…wait for it… here it comes… it’s much bigger on the inside than it appears. You knew that was coming. But actually it can hold an entire six pack of cans. This is definitely a much safer way to store your lunch than the super gross communal office fridge (yuckers). Plugs into a standard outlet or your car’s 12v jack for fridging on the go.

Yo Dawg, We Heard You Like Fridge Doors So We Put A Fridge Door In Your Fridge Door

One of LG’s high-end fridges has a feature called Door-In-Door which lets you quickly access your favourite items without actually, you know, opening the door. The idea is that every time you open the whole door you let out some of the cold air and that… screws things up a bit. We’re not convinced that it makes that big of a difference, to be honest, but we don’t have lab coats and clipboards so we could be wrong.

The fridge itself is pretty huge, storing 31 sq. ft. of foodstuffs, but the main thing we wanted to talk about was the door-in-door thing. It’s nifty.

Oh, and you have to spend $3,500 on the fridge to get it.

Hit the jump for a pretty sweet promo video and links.
