Judge extends ban on publication of 3D-printed gun designs

A federal judge in Seattle issued an injunction today that blocks Defense Distributed from publishing its 3D-printed gun designs online. The move extends a temporary ban issued last month and the injunction will remain in place until a lawsuit brough...

NERF Rival Overwatch D.Va Light Gun Blaster Is a Pink Nightmare

A few weeks ago at SDCC, NERF announced its Rival Overwatch Reaper Edition Blaster, based on the Reaper’s Wight Hellfire shotgun. Now another Overwatch NERF weapon has surfaced: the D.Va Light Gun. The details remain true to the game weapon, except of course when it comes to capacity and the projectiles it shoots.

The NERF Rival Overwatch D.Va Light Gun Blaster looks awesome. It has only a three-round capacity, but it can fire it’s foam ammunition at speeds up to 80 feet per second. Other features include a spring-action mechanism, a safety lock, a ready indicator, and of course the colors, along with a D.Va decal and bunny charm.

Sure, many DIYers are making their own versions of Overwatch weapons, but it’s nice to know that you can get these right off the shelf soon. These NERF replicas will arrive in 2019 to bring the pain as you have Overwatch NERF matches in your backyard.

Right now we don’t have a specific launch date for either of these weapons, and we also don’t know which NERF Overwatch weapons are coming next. So stay tuned and if we hear anything else, we will be sure to let you know.

Fallout 1:1 Plasma Rifle Replica Won’t Shoot Your Eye Out

Fallout fever is in full swing with the announcement of Fallout 76 at E3. I’m not so sure how I feel about the franchise moving into the online realm, but if the gameplay holds up, all will be good. If you want to get your game room ready for the launch of the game, this Fallout 1:1 Plasma Rifle Replica is just the ticket.

The beastly weapon is fitted with a long sniper-style barrel, and it lights up with a green glow when you pull the trigger. It’s made of injection-molded plastic and weighs in at 10-pounds. It’s a ThinkGeek exclusive, and up for pre-order right now. It will set you back $119.99 which – considering the size and detail – is a good price. Sadly, it appears that some kind of silly regulations won’t allow the replica gun to ship to California, Connecticut, New York or Kansas.

Modder Turns NERF Rival Blaster Into 2,000-Round Minigun

It’s always fun to see people mod NERF guns into badass killing machines. Well, not killing machines exactly, with that foam ammo, but still, they can be pretty awesome. NERF’s Rival blasters fire small foam balls at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. foam or not, that’s pretty intense. But not one to settle for the ordinary, Captain Xavier cranked things up a bit, hacking his NERF Rival into a spinning minigun fed by a 2,000-shot backpack.

You will be amazed when you see that Captain Xavier’s Rival can now shoot up to 20 foam balls every second. It does this for a over a minute and a half without needing an ammo top-off. With a gun like this, you definitely need a backpack. Ammo doesn’t last long when you are spraying foam balls like crazy.

It really is amazing to watch. The first 18 minutes of the video walk through the build details, but if you just want to get right down to the firing demo, skip ahead.

It’s completely awesome – aside from the fact that his wife is going to kill him when she gets home and finds her yard littered with little foam balls. Still, it’s totally worth it. I wish that NERF would just sell these weapons like this, without us having to mod them. I assume they don’t because they’re worried about things like child safety and lawsuits.
