One Stellar Speaker

saturn_bluetooth_speaker_light_layout

The Saturn hybrid speaker-light begs the question: why shouldn’t our devices also be works of art?! The obvious answer is that everyone has largely different aesthetic taste, but there’s no denying that Saturn’s sculptural form is better looking than plenty of other standalone Bluetooth speaker designs. Aside from providing high-quality audio streaming and stylish accent lighting on its rings, it also features a spinning feature that captivates with motion. Depending on the music tempo, its centered orb will turn to the timing of your favorite tunes!

Touring the solar system with a new book of NASA photos

It's easy to get jaded by images of our solar system, especially when NASA probes like Cassini make it look so routine. A new book called The Planets, written and curated by Nirmala Nataraj with a forward by Bill Nye and featuring hundreds of stunnin...

Time, illuminated.

saturn_01

Inspired by the unique connection between light and time, Saturn is a pendant lamp that will both illuminate your space and provide a way to tell the time, much in the same way we use the sun.

At first glance, the Saturn lamp might appear to be another elegant sculptural luminaire, but look closer and an interesting time-telling device is revealed. The arcs represent the arms of a clock when looked at from the front or back. The two perpendicular rings at the centre of the light remain stationery and indicate the 12, 3, 6, and 9 marks. Four stepper motors sit in each rotating arm.
