Hide & Drink Leather Sleeve Turns Any Pint Glass into a Mug

Using a sleeve or a koozie when drinking your beer will keep it chill while keeping your hand warm. While there are plenty of koozies to choose from, this one will turn any pint glass into a beer mug. This Pint Sleeve has a handle.

This koozie is made by Hide & Drink and is a leather pint sleeve with an integrated leather handle. That lets you just about any glass like a mug. Now you will always have that mug experience wherever you find yourself. It’s made from 100 percent genuine soft cowhide leather, and is hand-cut and -sewn too.

The Coffee Sleeve

The stats are very clear, used coffee grounds are literally dumped by cafés and little thought given to their recycling. Incidentally the grounds are good raw material for dehumidification, deodorization and compost. However, today we focus on the ECO Sleeve Maker, which compresses and converts used coffee grounds into sleeves for the coffee cups. Of course we need to add water and a little bit of sugar to fashion a stiff sleeve, moreover we can dispose the sleeve as compost and continue the eco chain.

Awesome Batman Sleeve Tattoo: Where Does He Get That Wonderful Ink?

There is something about the colors in the older comic books that today’s comics just don’t have. They were bright and vibrant and just jumped off the page in a way that today’s do not. Maybe it was the ink that they used. Anyway, this amazing Batman tattoo captures this spot on.

This super detailed, full-color tattoo by British artist Ian Hopkins truly brings the classic Batman comic books to life. This is pre-Dark Knight Batman, when the colors were alive and stunning.

This tattoo won him a prize at the Titanic Ink Tattoo Convention in Southampton, UK and took him 40 hours of work to complete. Amazing job, Ian!

Simplifying Closure

The steps to storing and retrieving your laptop should be simple; but in all honesty are they? Right, thought as much…if we are to simplify the process then it has to be done in a clever convincing way. The AECRAFT MacBook Airfelt Sleeve is simple, clever and convincing!

The sleeves have one smart central opening that makes it easy for you to load and unload the laptop. No fumbly zips or tacky buttons; in a single sweep you can do the job thanks to the magnets!

It is hard to picture Nils, one half of the designer duo team behind Aecraft, as a lazy boy. This self-confessed geek is the creative mind while Carmen is the patient one. Her patience matches her talent for making things happen for real at Aecraft.

Nil’s obsession to get things done better, fastest and with more beautiful results has lead to the creation of this classy Airfelt Sleeve. “We are surrounded by objects in our daily life; it gives me peace of mind to know that there is no other more effective way to achieve an action. This quest means to remove the fuzz to only keep the essence, the true nature of the product = the function, the tool.” These words from Nils echo the very sentiments most new-age designers.

‘The object should be the vehicle of the action.’

To be honest, it takes a little while to carefully tuck in your laptop, just to avoid the scratches and dents. I was careless enough to dent my previous laptop, simply because I invested in the wrong sleeve. I am glad that Nils and Carmen answered their calling and put in the sweat and tears into the Airfelt Sleeve. For now I have the option of investing in a top grade Merino Wool and premium vegetable tanned leather, handcrafted case that beams with the pride and joy of this designer duo.

I couldn’t have summarized the effect of this sleeve as well as Nils has put it, so there you go… “Welcome to the nomadic way of life!”

The 8-Bit Bumper case for iPhone 5 looks a bit sturdier than the one for iPhone 4/4S. It’s got a back that will protect most of your iPhone from scratches as well. There’s a no-friction release system, which is nice because I can’t tell you how many times I’ve struggled getting my iPhone out of a case and putting it into another.

The 8-Bit Sleeve is available for the iPad Mini, and looks like a giant pixelated envelope. It even opens up with the same sort of flap. Just don’t try to lick this one to seal it up.

Over the years, I’ve managed to accumulate about 7 or 8 iPhone cases. Some are broken, some are cheap knock-offs and a couple are quite nice. That being said, I’ve always have liked the style of wood cases for my gadgets. There’s something about the juxtaposition of high-tech with sustainable materials. In this case, we don’t have an actual wood case, but a woodgrain design that looks pretty real.

The n-Sert Case from Design Skinz is a case that can be customized to your liking.  The thin protective case allows you to change the look of your iPhone with a variety of interchangeable inserts like the wood pattern shown above, as well as a number of graphical patterns.

The case itself is available in matte black, white or hot pink for the iPhone 4/4S or iPhone 5 through Design Skinz’s Etsy store for $21.99(USD), including one design insert of your choice. Additional inserts are available for $7.99 each.

The idea isn’t completely original, but it makes for a good way to change the look of your phone quickly and inexpensively, and without having to buy a bunch of different cases.


Spigen Crumena iPhone 5 Leather Pouch Offers Elegant Protection, Despite Its Odd Name

I’ve never really used pouches much for my devices, but I can see the appeal. It cuts down on the bulk of a case, and leaves your gadget devoid of any bulky add-ons when you pull it out to use it. This particular leather pouch looks particularly nice.

The Spigen Crumena pouch is made for the iPhone 5. Its makers use genuine calf skin leather, protecting your precious iPhone from harm, while looking elegant. The inside has a softer liner and a magnetic pull tab that holds your iPhone securely in place. It also makes it easier to access.

Since most drops tend to happen when you are actually using your phone, I’d still like to see a holster that has enough room to accomodate one inside of a case.
