Holy Utility Belt Batman: Cache Belt Hides Over Two Dozen Survival Tools

At first glance, the Wazoo Cache Belt looks like an ordinary belt, but it is anything but. It is a utility belt that Batman himself would be envious of. It hides a bunch of survival tools right inside the band, making it perfect for emergency situations.

It holds more than two dozen survival tools on both the buckle and within the band. That is some serious utility. It comes in three versions: minimalist, essentials, and adventure, with all three using the exact same belt but packing the compartments with more tools. For minimalists, you can get just the belt with all its hidden pockets, two pull-out gear loops, and a bottle opener on the buckle. You can use the pockets for whatever you want to carry.

The essentials version adds fishing gear (hooks, line, and weights), a whistle, a needle, cordage, zip ties, duct tape, FAT packs, a fire-starter kit, a foldable water container, and purification tabs for your basic survival needs. The adventure set bundles all that with a pre-filter for the water, aluminum foil, a small ceramic knife, a small flashlight, trail markers, bandages, a compass, a signal mirror, and a brass wire. Sounds like all you will ever need.

You can reserve one starting at $20(USD) for an empty belt, ranging up to $95 for a fully-loaded one. I bet Batman has already reserved a few.

Doomsday preppers are always on the lookout for the next tool that will supposedly help them survive the collapse of civilization. While a loaded shotgun and non-perishable foodstuffs seem like essentials, you’ll likely want to take a look at the M48 Kommando Tactical Survival Shovel with Sheath by United Cutlery.

– Features virtually indestructible, injection-molded nylon handle with 30% fiberglass & nylon reinforcement.
– The shovel head is made of tempered 2Cr13 stainless tool steel with a hard, black oxide coating.
– Perfect for camping and outdoors use, light chopping, or for use as a defensive weapon in an emergency situation.
– The shovel point edge is sharpened, with a partially serrated edge on one side, and a concave chopping edge on the other.
– Includes a reinforced nylon belt pouch.

The best part is that adding a cool item to your survival arsenal doesn’t have to break the bank now… you know, before banks are obsolete? It’s $41.

Tinder on a Rope: Swipe Right for Fire

When the zombie apocalypse comes, you need to have a few things in your bug-out bag to be ready. You need a way to get clean drinking water, a way to start fire, and food. Fire is one of the more important because with it you can both cook food and get clean water.

One of those spark tool thingies will get your fire going, but other than a hot spark, you also need something that will burn. This is where you need the Tinder on a Rope. It’s exactly what it sounds like, unless you think it’s something for hooking up with girls, then it’s nothing like it sounds.

This is a chunk of some sort of cultivated resin-impregnated wood (I said both wood and impregnate hehehe) that burns like crazy. Combine this with your fire striker thingy and boom, you have fire. Get your own Tinder on a rope for $4.99(USD) at ThinkGeek.
