Electric Indulgence

edorado_01

Combining the best of luxury and clean performance, the new Edorado 7S is unlike any other electric boat that sails the waters today. With its unique hydrofoil design, the 7S rides above the water, creating very low drag, which in turn increases maximum speed and range. The Edorado 7S allows boaters to enjoy the luxury of speed on the water without the damaging effect of fossil fuels to our environment.

Everything below the waterline has been engineered for minimum drag and maximum performance on the water, the rest of the boat focuses on usability, style and comfort. Aesthetically, the design features classic and bold lines, combined with a contemporary automotive material mix and refined detailing.

The interior boasts a range of smart features, while maintaining a spacious and organized layout. The front seats come with a flip-up bolster, allowing better view on the water. The interior features lots of hidden storage space, lighting and audio system. All the boat’s digital instruments are placed behind a continuous glass surface dashboard. The innovative engine bay (electric motor and battery packs!) is visible through a window in the rear deck. Several material and finishing options will be available.

The Boat Defender

landho_01

Boat fenders are useful for absorbing kinetic energy and preventing damage when the vessel is berthing against a jetty, dock or another vessel, but current designs have a long way to go in terms of durability and storage. They’re bulky and create utter chaos when brought inside the boat! The Land Ho rethinks the fender as nestable units that are simple to knot and throw over for protection and even easier to bring in and store without causing clutter. Made from a similar Rubbylene material used in run-flat tire tech, they’re made to last through the years!

Pretty on the Outside, Party on the Inside

gran_1

The latest from Hyperlien Yacht, this 46 footer, labelled as Modern Classic Gran Torino, was designed from the inside out! It takes unusual inspiration from the Batmobile from the movie Batman Begins, and allows the user to elevate or drop the furniture. When the driver lifts the steering wheel up, the sofa, table and liquor cabinet will rise up slowly from the floor. When the users would like to sunbathe or enjoy the scenery on the flybridge, they can simply press the steering wheel down, all the furniture will lower. This new design concept not only enables users to use the space in whatever way they like, but also protect all the hardware from the sun and rain.

As for the outside, the design has rough yet elegant hull lines, and the large area of wood veneer on the ship-side shows its classic and retro image. The appearance is characterized by the traditional sports car series in the 1970s, which combines classic and modern touches.

Watercraft for One, Please

SPT-1

We often think of watercraft as being for recreational use for large numbers of people but for some areas, the idea of personal watercraft is not only practical but necessary. These 3 concepts propose a new hybrid solution for getting from point A to point B via waterway. The first is focused on safety, with a canopy for sun and weather shielding. An on board lighting system makes it visible to larger vessels so it can move safely between large bodies of water and smaller channels. The second is focused on style and takes inspiration from vintage car designs. Its small size and hydrodynamics make it a functional choice for commuting while its cherry red metallic and wood combination make a head-turning statement. The third concept is an alternative to the second and takes inspiration from the aviation industry. In fact, it looks like it would be as at home in the sky as it is the water. This futuristic, single-propeller craft combines the best of functionality, style, comfort to make it an ideal touring vehicle. An enclosed glass cockpit keeps the driver safe from weather while providing panoramic views of the surrounding environment.

A Floating Showroom

The Sonos yacht goes beyond a typical exterior styling study of many similar concepts and explores the true efficiency and usability of such a large vessel’s space. Designed for entertaining, a never-before-seen loft deck is at the center of the craft, providing a multi-level venue for a variety of exclusive events that can be tailored to renters’ personal requirements. For the after-party, 6 suites and one star suite provide lux living for overnight guests.

Oil Tanker Turned Luxury Toy

From the same designers of the MY50M and Migaloo Submarine comes the world’s largest yacht design concept based on a 280 meter long SuezMax tanker platform. The project is named Imāra. The mega-ist of mega-yachts, the upcycled oil tanker turned private luxury floating residence may be larger than life but it’s also more environmentally friendly in comparison to newly constructed vessels. See what you get with all that room!

The exterior design is dominated by the slick hull painted in bright white with golden accents. For the superstructure of the tower, the design studio went for a custom design, but based on the shapes of common tanker superstructures. The overall exterior design concept was to generate a highly precious aesthetic combined with modern architecture-like elements but also incorporating every state-of-the-art super yacht feature.

The raised fore deck is dedicated to host 3 large helipads which guarantee fast departure or arrival of the owner and the guests. 2 of the helipads are lower able to the hangar which is located directly underneath. In total, the yacht is able to carry 5 choppers, 2 in the hanger and 3 on the heli deck above.

Another main exterior feature is the large atrium located amidships right above the wet garages and beach clubs. It stretches over 4 decks and generates imposing views from all angeles to the wet garages below, where tender and toys can be operated easily through 4 side hatches (2 on each hull side), each 15m wide. Tender up to to 90 feet can be docked in the yachts hull or can drive through the whole hull thanks to the 2 sided hatches.

Asymmetry Ahoy

Designed for the daysailer market, the Axiom yacht focuses on innovation and renewal of the external and internal design of this type of vessel. Based on automotive aesthetics, the AY 45 is characterized by simplicity of form, straight lines, minimal finishing details and deck asymmetry that drives it living functionality. From the side it appears as any other conventional vessel, but from above, its versatile layout is apparent and thoughtfully arranged for passenger comfort.
