My Bruce Lee Action Figure Could Beat up Your Chuck Norris Action Figure

Bruce Lee was a certified badass. In fact, each night before Chuck Norris goes to bed, he checks for Bruce Lee under the bed. One of the coolest flicks Lee made was Game of Death. The saddest thing about it is that Lee died before he finished the film leaving scenes to be spliced together using different actors trying to be as badass as Lee.

In some of the most iconic scenes in Game of Death, Lee was clad in a yellow tracksuit and kicks lots of ass using nunchaku. Kids everywhere in the late ’70s and ’80s crushed their own nads with nunchucks trying to be like Bruce.

Now you can replicate those scenes without risk of injury with Bandai Tamashii Nations’ Bruce Lee Yellow Track Suit SH Figuarts Action Figure. The figure is 5.5-inches tall and comes with four sets of hands, three facial expressions, two nunchaku, and one staff.

5-year-old Performs perfect Bruce Lee Nunchaku Fight

Bruce Lee is still a big hero for today's kids. The legendary martial arts star died at the age of 32 in 1972. A 5-year-old Japanese boy is an obviously huge fan of Bruce Lee. A video of him showing...

Dragon Tides: Because The World Needed A Bruce Lee Board Game

For me, the theme is a big part of what attracts me to a board game. Yes, I love good mechanics and I’ll gladly play Carcassone all day long, but building a cluster of tiny cities surrounded by roads that go nowhere and inaccessible churches does take me out of the game a bit. What if I’d rather beat up a bunch of goons with my one inch punch, all from the comfort of my kitchen table?

That’s why I want to play Dragon Tides, the officially licensed Bruce Lee board game. It ticks all of my boxes: strategic combat, an exciting setting, cool miniatures, and co-op games are always fun. Players will play as Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, Viktoria Jovovich, or Luke Elba and mow their way through hordes of goons, take on bosses, and make decisions that will have an effect on future games against even more dangerous bosses as your team unravels a dangerous plot.

Dragon Tides is on Kickstarter right now, where a pledge of $45 or more will get you the core game. If you are willing to drop $2,500 on a board game, you can be one of the evil bosses that players all over the world will be trying to take down.

Bruce Lee And His Cards

“The meaning of life is that it has to be lived.” How true! And full marks for guessing the author of this quote – Bruce Lee. Known as the most influential martial-arts artists of all time, Lee was single-handedly responsible for breaking the stereotype of Asians in Hollywood movies. Commemorating his 73rd birthday today, the visionaries in the art of magic and cardistry, Dan and Dave, are out with a dedicated Bruce Lee Playing Cards Deck. All the cards feature an inspiring Bruce Lee quote, except for the Aces.

Besides the use of captivating colors for the deck, I love the fact that Dan and Dave have used different philosophical quotes from Bruce Lee’s teachings on each card. Infusing a deeper meaning to them, the Aces are void of any comment, symbolizing a free mind.

Bruce Lee Enterprises along with magicians Dan and Dave honor the masters’ legacy and contribute to his foundation. Here’s a trivia that I suppose every die-hard Bruce Lee fan would know: he was born 73 years ago, on both the hour and year of the dragon.

The Chinese dragon design on the backs of the cards celebrates his birth and the iconic tracksuit he wore in ‘Game of Death’ inspires the faces of the cards. They feature a black stripe running through them, “like water”.

The unique monogram that brings Bruce Lee and Dan and Dave Buck together as one, unifying their art forms under the teachings of Jeet Kune Do, and Bruce Lee’s philosophy of using no way as way and having no limitation as limitation, is by far the most delightful part of this deck. In one direction, the symbol reads BL, flip it over and DB is seen, as if by magic. Clever!

Early in the year we featured Dan and Dave’s collaboration with Stranger & Stranger for the Ultimate Deck, and this year we are proud to feature their new Bruce Lee playing cards. Just like their Ultimate Deck, lots of thought when into these, both in concept and execution. In our opinion, they couldn’t more beautifully pay tribute to Bruce Lee.

Like water, playing cards can flow or they can crash. “Be like water.”

Waaaaaaaa… Bruce Lee Flash Drives Will Kick Your Data’s Butt

When it comes to Kung Fu movies, I’m a big fan of Bruce Lee flicks. If you’re a fan of the man, or just like to collect odd flash drives, you will want to check out these custom flash drives from a company called Pretec. The coolest is a little cartoon figure of Lee wearing the yellow and black suit from the flick Game of Death.

Another flash drive offered by the company has a laser engraving of Bruce Lee on the front along with engraving of his signature on an all metal chassis with a key ring for connecting to your keys. It is called the Bruce Lee i-Disk Reflection 2.0. It’s more sophisticated looking, but not as interesting as the yellow cartoon figure version.

The last flash drive is laser engraved with Bruce Lee’s signature and images of him doing a flying kick. This particular flash drive comes in 4 GB to 16 GB capacity and is waterproof. The manufacturer even claims the flash drive is fireproof as well, though it might not survive a one-inch punch.

Dragon Grip Turns You into a Virtual Bruce Lee

Were big fans of old-school kung fu movies around my house. My daughter and I particularly like Bruce Lee. The downside is that each time we watch a Bruce Lee flick, she stalks around the house and jumped out at any given moment with a Lee-like HI-YAH and punches me in the junk. My only saving grace is that apparently a quality hiiiii-yaaaaa takes some build up so I get a bit of warning when I hear a little hiiiii.

If you or someone in your house is a fan of kung fu movies in the cheesy sound effects that go along with them, they need the Dragon Grip that’s on Kickstarter now.

This toy looks like the handle from a joystick and has a trigger and a D-pad on top. When someone does the kung fu moves while pressing the trigger the Dragon Grip makes sounds automatically.

The device goes along with a comic book called Legend City. If you want one of these toys, you’ll need to pledge $25(USD) or more. If you want to grip and the comic book, you’ll need to cough up $32 or more. The expected delivery on the Dragon Grip is December, assuming the project gets enough pledges to fund it.

Bruce Lee Bathrobe

Bruce Lee fans will instantly recognize the iconic yellow and black tracksuit as worn by the master martial artists and actor in his final film Game of Death. You may also remember it from the many tributes such as Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, Revenge of the Nerds, Shaolin Soccer and many other places (as referenced in the extensive sub-section on wiki). Now you can pretend to be the legend when you don a Bruce Lee Men’s Bathrobe Bruce Lee Bathrobe. It has Bruce Lee’s signature flying kick on the back, along with the words “Jeet Kune Do” which is Bruce’s martial arts style, and of course it’s in the yellow and black colors. Wear it to work!
