Build Your Own Cardboard Darth Vader Costume

This Halloween, there’s no need to spend a crazy amount of money on a Darth Vader costume. Anyway, it would just sit in the closet for the rest of the year. Instead, build yourself a cardboard Darth Vader costume. Japanese stationery brand Showa Note has created this inexpensive, do-it-yourself cardboard outfit that looks pretty cool.

You’re going to look awesome in this corrugated black helmet and chest plate. And guess what? It will only cost you about $36. I, this is probably the best last-minute costume you can buy, because it doesn’t look last minute. The Force is strong with this costume, it surrounds us, binds us…

Unfortunately, getting your hands on this outside of Japan will likely increase the cost significantly. Still, it’s totally worth it. This costume looks damn cool, no matter when you wear it.

Star Trek TNG Ladies’ Skant Uniform: Operations Gold Is the New Black

This Star Trek: The Next Generation starfleet uniform takes fashion to the final frontier. The iconic skant uniform was briefly seen in the first season of the series. I think it was only in the pilot in fact. Now you can wear one too!

You can choose from Command (red), Operations (gold), or Sciences (blue). The dresses are totally accurate since the design was replicated from screen-used costumes and production patterns.

This is perfect for warm weather cosplay and relaxed nerd get-togethers. The designers cut this for the female body, but no worries guys, you can wear one and look good too. You can wear it alone or with pants, but don’t wear it with a purse. No one in the future uses purses. Heck, they don’t even use pockets. Did that guy just shave his legs?

Now that these are available we will probably see them everywhere. Nah. Not really… mostly just at conventions and stuff. What the heck were they thinking? Whatever. It’s a fun costume for any Star Trek fan to dress up in.

Watch Iron Man Suit up Throughout the Years

It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that Robert Downey became Iron Man, but it’s actually been more than 10 years. Downey first played his iconic character in 2008. To celebrate his 10 years on screen, Marvel fan Jennifer Morgan has cobbled together all the Iron Man suit ups she could get her hands on into a single fun video.

The video spans all of the suit-ups from 2008 through 2017 and is about eight minutes long. Iron Man is one of my favorite Marvel heroes, and I wish they would make more standalone flicks with him in it. IMHO, the only other superhero that is as funny as Iron Man and his alter ego Tony Stark is Deadpool.

The Ultimate Face Painting: Cheeseburger Face

I’ve seen some pretty crazy face painting before, but it’s usually designed to replicate some sort of animal or animated character. But makeup artist Mimi Choi also likes to dabble in inanimate objects, like food for her projects. For instance, she likes to dress up like a giant cheeseburger.

And it only gets stranger…

She also made a friend’s hand look like it was holding a hot dog…

Then turned her own into a sausage and egg breakfast…

And made her face into a pepperoni pizza…

So that’s how hair ends up in our food. It all makes sense now.

Pizza Face Mask Lets You Costume with Mozzarella and Sausage

Halloween is nearly upon us, and it’s time to get your last minute costume ideas figured out, stat. If you’re looking for a simple costume that you’re not likely to see others wearing, consider going as a slice of pizza.

This handmade pizza face mask from Rhythm Box Masks is the perfect things for fans of New York style pizza. You’ll look just like a walking Pizza the Hut with this thing, though without the gooey, cheesy mess. It covers your face in faux mozzarella cheese, sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, corn, and sauce. Yeah, I’ve never had corn on a pizza either, but it doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

The only downside to this thing is that there’s a 3 to 4 week lead time to have one made, plus the time it takes to ship from Russia. So there’s basically no chance you’ll be wearing this particular mask this Halloween. I suppose you could steal the idea and just cut a couple of eyeholes in an actual slice of pizza and strap it to your face. That way, you can even choose the toppings you want, though they’re likely to slide off pretty quickly.
