A Chair to Sit With, Not On

embrace_01

Sitting is a silent killer for those of us with office jobs… staying in that static posture for 9 to 13 hours a day really does take a toll on your body and health! That’s part of the inspiration behind Embrace.

It’s an alternative to everyday seating that encourages you to rest in the way nature intended… and that’s lying down. As the designers put it, it’s a “chair not to sit on, but to sit with”. With huggable arms and a soft, anatomy-adapting cushion, it allows the user a limitless number of comfortable positions perfect for working or resting.

Style Over Stigma

embrace_01

For any individual with a serious health condition, the problem with wearable medical tech is feeling “marked” with a problem. The Embrace smartwatch aims to combat stigma with style. The minimalist design was created for epileptic patients and is used to alert both the person and others of oncoming attacks. The straightforward design keeps things uncomplicated – simply touch it to see the time and enjoy it on your wrist. When it needs to alert you, it will. You can access other health data via your smartphone.
