Apple adds faster AMD Vega graphics options for 15-inch MacBook Pro

Apple has acted on its promise to give the 2018 MacBook Pro a much-appreciated graphics performance boost. You can now configure the higher-end 15-inch laptop with Radeon Pro Vega 16 or 20 GPUs that, if you ask Apple, deliver up to 60 percent faster...

Nintendo Switch from another time

Switch?? Is that you??

The Vega handheld entertainment device looks a lot like a conceptual Nintendo Switch from the past, or a gaming/immersive device from a Spike Jonze’s Her style future. Titled Potan, this modular unit comes with a tablet and a rig that allows one to slide in and out multiple modules ranging from joypads to touch-pads, to even numpads. The tablet in the center even comes with what I can only hope is a dual-camera on the back. Are we looking at the future of Augmented Reality gaming and entertainment?!

A perfect phone for Matt Damon

vega_mercury_mobile_1

The phone may be named Mercury, but it would certainly be a whole lot helpful to our stranded Martian friend, Matt Damon. It comes in a rugged design that looks great for extraterrestrial ventures. The upper module comes in two variants, the basic, with a 17mp camera and a loop for clipping the phone to your self. The Advanced module has a 25mp camera and a pretty huge flash… Huge enough to send SOS signals into space? I wonder.
