Admiral Ackbar Coin Purse: It’s a Trap! (for Your Money!)

One of my favorite characters in the entire Star Wars saga has to be Admiral Ackbar. Not only does he have an awesome alliterated name, he sounds like Doc Brown from Back to the Future, and looks like a giant bipedal fish. Now you can carry Ackbar with you seven days a week.

This fun coin purse is perfect for carrying all your loose change and galactic credits, and reminding you whenever something is a trap. While it’s not made from Mon Calamari skin, it is made from a soft and lovely looking faux leather.

So take command of Home One over Endor, and hyperdrive on over to ThinkGeek where you can grab this coin purse for just $19.99.

Admiral Ackbar Cupcakes: It’s a Snack!

No collection of Star Wars cupcakes would be complete without the famed Admiral Ackbar from Return of the Jedi. Just Jenn made this sweet treat. To get the appropriate orange-brown coloring for his skin she used cinnamon buttercream atop a brown sugar cupcake. A pair of yellow candy discs were used for his eyes.

Coffee sprinkles (wow, those exist?!) and some black frosting piped on complete his facial features. You might be tempted to eat a whole tray of these- but don’t! It’s a trap. Really cool.

Admiral Ackbar Magnitude Bust: Napoleon It’s a BonaTrap

Careful Star Wars fans! What you’re seeing, it’s a trap! For your money, that is. It’s the wise and bug-eyed Admiral Ackbar, decked in military uniform and a glorious mustache. This fine sculpture is based on a glorious painting by Steven Daily.

The bust only has 500 units available, so if you want a mustached squid man gracing your house, pre-order one from Gentle Giant Ltd. for $175 (USD).

Animatronic Admiral Ackbar: It’s a Costume!

Admiral Ackbar is the only fishhead in the Rebel fleet who can smell a trap from miles away. That makes him one of the smartest characters in the Star Wars galaxy. Anyone would be proud to dress up as the Admiral on Halloween, but your costume won’t be as cool as this one.

I present to you the most amazing Admiral Ackbar costume ever. Built by a guy named Mr. Bungle, this costume has actual facial expressions for when you need to alert others of a trap. The head and gloves were each custom molded then loaded with electronically controlled servo motors for realistic movements. Check Ackbar out in action in the video clip below.

Your Rebel force will be in good flippers for sure if you’re wearing this costume.

Admiral Ackbar Singing Bass: It’s a Carp!?!

Man those Big Mouth Billy Bass things are annoying. Who buys this stuff? You know who you are, and one day you will need to answer for your crimes of purchase. This Star Wars Admiral Ackbar Singing Bass on the other hand is pretty awesome. It’s the Admiral before he crawled out of the primordial soup of his world.

Star Wars Admiral Ackbar Singing Bass
Just press a button and the Admiral starts dancing to the Cantina Song and then he says the phrase you’ve been longing to hear. “It’s a trap!” For him it was. He was caught in the wild and mounted on a wood plaque for your amusement. Display it anywhere you need a dancing fish. This guy is just $39.99(USD) from Thinkgeek. I know where I will be hanging mine up at.

OMG. He was right. This really was a trap. An April Fools trap. He should be saying, “It’s a prank!” However, many people would gladly buy this if it were real – and just like Big Mouth Billy Bass, they’d get sick of it after about 2 minutes.

Adorable Plush Gamorrean Guard Works for Jabba the Stuffed

It’s funny how plush toys can soften the look of characters that you know so well. Leia was already cute with her hair done up in buns, so of course she would look pretty adorable as a soft plush. But a Gamorrean guard? Can anything make these pig-faced fugly aliens look cute? Surprisingly, yes.

These plush Star Wars dolls come from Kittyzilla, who has several cute plush creations for sale at her Etsy shop. That Gamorrean Guard is awesome. The downside (for him) is that he isn’t scaring anyone away from Jabba’s palace. Too bad this guy already found a home.

If you need someone to announce traps and the like, Admiral Ackbar is available for $40.(USD). Kittyzilla makes some interesting soft cuddlies and I would be interested to see who she makes next.
