The Best Star Wars Swimwear

Everybody loves Star Wars! It’s one of the biggest franchises in history and of course it’s spawned all kinds of merchandise, from spin-off movies and TV shows, to countless toys and action figures, books, household items, and my favorite, clothing! There’s so much great Star Wars clothing out there and I’m here to share some of my favorite Star Wars swim suits!

I hope you love my picks, and always remember, there’s plenty more to look at!

Star War At-AT One Piece Swim Suit

This stylish one-piece is subtle and subdued, not overly flashy, but it’s understated appearance looks good at any pool or beach. The black At-At designs against the white backdrop make for a geeky yet still fashionable piece.

Star Wars BB-8 Boys Swim Trunks

The bright orange color is perfect for summer and it’s not too bright, as it contrasts with the dark blue background. BB-8 is a beloved, relative newcomer to the Star Wars series, at the cute little droid made his first appearance in Star Wars Episode 7. No wonder he’s already so popular, I mean, just look how adorable he is on these swim trunks!

Star Wars Ship Men’s Swim Trunks

I know these are the only swim trunks for adult men I’ve included, but they are the best I’ve found. The space ships are cool looking and any man wearing these will still feel fashionable without being too nerdy.

Star Wars C-3PO and R2-D2 One Piece Swim Suit

I love the print on this swimsuit! It looks like a scene straight out of the movies and it’s a beautiful image. Also, who can resist C-3PO and R2-D2? They are such a great duo!

Star Wars Logo Bikini

Okay, I know this is the only bikini on the entire list. I love bikinis, don’t get me wrong, but when looking for something to show off my love of Star Wars, most bikinis don’t have enough fabric to properly show off the love. (They’re better for showing off skin.) Anyway, I thought this bikini, with its simple Star Wars logo definitely shows off a proper amount of geekery.

Star Wars Stormtroopers Boys Swim Trunks

Blue is my favorite color, so of course I had to include these awesome swim trunks! The color is gorgeous and what little boy doesn’t want to wear a stormtrooper print? These trunks are seriously great!

Star Wars Retro Boys Swim Trunks

Technically, these trunks aren’t retro, but I’ve called them that as the design just looks so 70s inspired. It looks like a pair of swim trunks that a boy would be wearing at the pool right after watching the original Star Wars movie in 1977; just look at the images of Chewbacca and Darth Vader and the rest of the gang. I’m a huge fan of retro designs, so these swim trunks are a huge winner.

Star Wars R2-D2 One Piece Swim Suit

Can you say cute? I know R2-D2 seems to be on almost all Star Wars merch, but he’s just such a lovable character, not to mention how great he looks as a clothing design. I love this one-piece swim suit. It’s sexy and adorable at the same time.

Star Wars Darth Vader and Stormtrooper Toddler Swim Trunks

After so many boys swim trunks, it was about time to feature trunks meant for an even younger age. These cuties are for toddlers and your tiny tot will be sure to look like the coolest kid at the pool. Look at the cartoony versions of Darth and the stormtrooper, they just get my heart!

Star Wars Girls Tankini

After featuring so many women’s suits, it was time to show a girl’s swim suit. This tankini is adorable and will show off your future Princess Leia’s love of Star Wars. She will be the coolest princess on the sands of Tatooine.

Star Wars Darth Vader One Piece Swim Suit
This might be my favorite swim suit on the entire list. It’s definitely something I could see myself wearing. Darth Vader may be evil, but while wearing this suit, you’ll look evilly sexy.

Star Wars R2-D2 Long Sleeve Swim Suit

Long sleeve? Odd choice, you may be thinking, but if you’re planning to go surfing, this might be a good option. Or maybe you’re looking for something a bit more modest or something to help you cover up on an especially burning sunny day. Whatever the reason is, this swimsuit, once again featuring our friend R2-D2, is a great choice.

I hope you found something to wear for a great day at the beach or pool and to show off your love of the wonderful Star Wars!

Leia vs. Jabba in LEGO, Whoa.

One of the most iconic scenes in the entire Star Wars saga has to be the moment in Return of the Jedi where Princess Leia chokes the life out of Jabba the Hutt. After turning her into his personal slave, dressing her in an uncomfortable metal bikini, and shackling her in chains, Leia had quite enough. Now, this classic moment has been memorialized in LEGO, courtesy of artist Iain “Ochre Jelly” Heath.

This amazing build perfectly captures the moment, from the chains around Jabba’s neck, to the giant tongue sticking out of his mouth as he gasps for his last breath of air. It’s an amazing build, and I wish LEGO would turn this into an official kit, even though I know it’s something they’d never do.

Princess Leia Funko Pop! Bobblehead Is Our Only Hope

Star Wars is the movie that Carrie Fisher is most known for even if it certainly wasn’t not her only work. I know I am not the only fan who was sad to see her pass not long ago. If you want to remember Fisher in her most iconic role, this bobblehead will help you do that.

This Princess Leia is a special Pop! bobblehead action figure. It stands on a small Star Wars base and will launch in June 2017. You can pre-order one now over on Entertainment Earth.

The bobble head sells for $10.99(USD) and there is an entire line of Star Wars Pop! bobbleheads to go along with Leia. I really like the R2-D2 one, it’s adorable.

Star Wars/Star Trek Cosplay Mashup: I Love You, Make it So

Back as far as I can remember my friends and I would argue about which was better, Star Wars or Star Trek. I’m in camp Star Wars, though Jar Jar Binks was almost enough to change that. The two franchises don’t exactly meet up anywhere, but they do meet nicely in this cosplay mashup.

One the one side we have a very well done Princess Leia with side hair buns by a lady called Galacticat. Her real world boyfriend is dressed up as Commander Riker.

This mash up will certainly enrage geek purists, but I think it is very cool. I wonder what Han thinks of this. He’d probably have Chewy rip off Riker’s arms.

5-year-old Girl’s Take on Slave Leia is ADORABLE

If you don’t have kids, then it might be hard to appreciate exactly how hilariously insightful they can be at times. Take this little five-year-old British girl talking with her father about the merits of the outfit that Princess Leia wore in that famous Jabba the Hutt scene.

jabbazoom in

As horny males, we know that slave Leia looked smoking hot and having your girlfriend or wife dress up like that is a serious fantasy for many geeks. On the other hand, many folks just think it was demeaning to make Leia wear that thing. You need to hear this conversation recorded between Adam Buxton and his 5-year-old daughter. She knows Jabba is bad, but she thinks the outfit Leia wears is actually quite nice:

It has a nice skirt and a tiara. What more could a little girl ask for? She figures if she were a slave with Jabba, she would escape but ask them if she could keep the outfit because it’s quite nice. Watch the video for a geek, cuteness overload.
