Legend of Zelda Rainbow Pie: Nintendelicious

To celebrate the release of the Nintendo Switch and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild this week, Pies are Awesome created this colorful Princess Zelda pie. It looks delicious. I’ll take 10 of them please!

This special edition pie was made with basic apple filling tinted with gel food coloring and some edible gold paint. It also has Princess Zelda on top. It really looks amazing. Nintendo needs to hire PiesAreAwesome right now and start mass-producing nerd pies like this, that I can eat everyday. Because I will.

Don’t believe me? You do your part Nintendo, and I’ll prove it to you. Your move!

How to Make a Pixel Perfect Super Mario Pie

If you want to make a geeky pie for a special occasion, check this out. Jessica from Pies from Awesome is about to show us how to create a Super Mario pixel pie. It’s a me, Edible Mario!

Making a Mario pixel pie is actually easier than it sounds. Basically, you just map out your pixel art on a paper grid, and assign colors to each dot. Then, just use a pastry cutter to cut the dough into small squares, brush them with food coloring, and arrange them on top of your pie in the proper shape.

You can use this simple technique to make even more complicated pixel art designs if you are feeling bold. Follow these instructions and you will have a pie that Mario himself would be proud to eat.

CKIE Product of the week – M&Co PIE Watch

pie_watch_1

Live in the moment, they say. The Pie Watch takes that phrase seriously, with a watch face that displays just a fraction of time! The watch is a witty remake of M & Co.’s Bodoni Watch. Built in Steel with a Brass coating, and umber colored leather straps, the watch face features a quirky dial that sports a wedge shaped display of the time markings, leaving the rest of it blank.

Striking a balance between quintessential and mildly witty, the Pie Watch is the perfect timepiece for the perfect gentleman!

Millennium Falcon Pie: Eat It in Less than 12 Pie-secs

This Millennium Falcon pie may be crusty, but she’s got it where it counts. This ship looks pretty tasty with its golden brown hull. If you want to make one for yourself, just follow the instructions at Sweet & Geek. If you don’t speak Italian, you can find an English translation here.

It looks like a calzone because it is made like one. That delicious looking crust is pizza dough. You just prepare the dough, roll it out and cut slices for the top and bottom parts of the ship. Fill it up with asiago cheese, cream cheese, and zucchini. Or add other ingredients.

Just don’t let your wookiee co-pilot eat it all.
