Spoon Found on Mars

A strange discovery on the red planet astonished several people on earth. Recently, a spoon was found on Mars, and this is the first time that an eating utensil is found on Mars. The discovery shows...

Lifehack cutlery!

I don’t always generate stories to connect my life to the products I talk about on Yanko. They’re all life experiences and stories, and this one is too! People who’ve read my stuff know I’m a tea person. However, I haven’t been telling you the complete truth. I’m actually a sugar person. I can’t have green tea, or black tea, or any of that tea with honey stuff. I need my old fashioned milky tea with dollops of sugar. Given that diabetes just might become a concern for me in the future, I’ve made an effort to cut back. However, I have a slight OCD thing going, so I can’t really put half a teaspoon of sugar in anything. The sugar always has to form this perfect little pile on the spoon when I scoop some out. It’s a strange problem to have, but it isn’t uncommon, and it can be quite unhealthy. Minuspoon is for people like me who subconsciously take large spoonfuls of sugar with their beverages. Designed with a bump on the inside, it actually scoops lesser sugar than intended, but cleverly makes the spoon look like it’s brimming with those sweet little crystals. Quite a clever hack, eh? Also works with the Nutella obsessed kinds.

The Selfie Spoon: This Really Needs to Stop

Selfies. A vile habit for the vain? Or just a fun way to be forever alone? Maybe both. Selfies jumped the shark a long time ago with such products as the Selfie Stick. Just when you thought the selfie accessories could not get any stranger, along comes the Selfie Spoon.

You have to eat. And you have to take selfies. Right? Well, now you no longer have to pause your food intake to get that shot. General Mills has invented the Selfie Spoon. That’s right. A spoon with a built-in selfie stick.

So we can see pictures of you stuffing your face with Captain Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Not Fruit Loops, because that’s you if you use this thing. How did you survive without it?

Check Your Food for Poison with the Magnifying Spoon

Are you a king? Or maybe just a very important person who others would like to see dead? Beware of poison. However, food tasters just make your food cold and besides, the poison might be slow-acting.You could always make your own meal, but you are too special for that. Maybe you could try this magnifying spoon to search for strange stuff before you eat. It might not find liquid substances, but it might spot other contaminants.

Design firm Object Solutions designed this tool that lets you magnify your food. The special spoon may just help you to see any foreign objects like stray hairs and that fly in your soup.

Never eat a weird foreign object again.

Jason Hockey Mask Spoon Evokes Terror With Every Bite

Jason Hockey Mask Spoon1

Jason Voorhees is a name that evokes terror in the hearts of those who believe (and to all those who watched every movie in his horror franchise.) If his name doesn’t, then perhaps his hockey mask will…and now you can have your daily fill of horror with these spoons inspired by the latter.

Use the spoons to stir lattes, to drink soup, and to spread peanut butter and horror all over your toast. The spoons are available on Etsy for $38.

Courtly Cutlery

In creating Jarosinksi & Vaugoin’s design No. 192, Thomas Feichtner drew inspiration from the classic methods involved in producing utensils by hand, a process typically used by the manufactory. The resulting product employs a clever combination of clear surfaces and radiuses with a theme of two diametrically intersecting phases that together lend the cutlery a highly individual character. Robust yet refined, the collection is well-balanced for both casual and formal table setting alike.

What Will They Think Of Next: Pillow Spoon Rest

Pillow Spoon Rest

So this is a pillow spoon rest. There’s not much to say, because the name says it all. It’s basically a miniature pillow made from silicone where you’re supposed to rest your mixing spoon on while you’re busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen. You could use a plate, but then, where’s the fun in that? You could also choose to go without it and rest your sauce-laden spoon against the pan or bowl, but things can get messy pretty quick if you don’t clean off the spoon as much as possible before doing so.

The Pillow Spoon Rest retails for $7.99 and will be available later this September.
