The STELLA Lamp Is Like A Tranquil Fairy Light Created For Your Messy Desk

A tastefully and functionally designed lighting design is something I simply cannot resist! I love them since they have the ability to illuminate a space – both literally and metaphorically. Besides the physical light that it quite obviously emits, a well-designed lighting design can add manifolds of personality and charisma to a room or space. They can function as sculptural pieces, that are an extension of your personal taste and preference, truly exhibiting the richness and niche-ness of your curation capabilities, or if they’re the portable kind you can carry them along with you to illuminate anything anytime anywhere. An excellent lighting design that would make a great addition to your work desk is STELLA.

Designer: COG Design Studio

STELLA is a part of the 2023 New Collection Lighting products designed by COG Design Studio in collaboration with the lighting brand Bonakia. The collection focuses on creating basic forms of lighting via repetition, transformation, and a combination of geometric shapes. They provide a defined beauty to flat shapes by implementing three-dimensional changes in direction and bending. They attempt to integrate an emotional aesthetic to the simple form, by playing around with geometric figures.

STELLA is truly quite pretty to look at! It features an interesting triangular intaglio shape and is built using acrylic material. The goal behind the design was to observe the sensibility of light when it is transmitted to a detailed intaglio pattern. The lighting design features waves on its surface, the light strikes against the waves, forming a star, and then quickly dissipates. The lighting effect is quite ambient and seductive. It powerfully illuminates everything around it, without being too loud or bold. It somehow artfully manages to be effective and not overpowering.

The STELLA desk lamp is an ideal mix of functionality, utility, and aesthetics. It merges all three to serve as an efficient lighting design that is also super easy to carry around owing to its compact form. The lamp does look a little fragile, so you may have to be careful while carrying it around, as it could easily slip and break. Sufficient care should also be taken while cleaning and maintaining the lamp.

Why is it noteworthy?

The Altar I’s keycaps are also forged out of recycled polymers, thereby making it a sensible accessory that doesn’t harm Planet Earth. This innovative pencil is called the Everlasting Metal Pencil is like a Wacom stylus with a tip that never needs to be replaced or sharpened. The pencil allows you to focus completely on your creative process, and on the lead less.

The octagonal shaft is made of aluminum and houses a special alloy core. Knowing that, you might think that all it will do is leave heavy grooves on your paper, but your mind might be blown away when it draws like a real pencil without seeing the tip wear down even after dozens of marks.

What we like

  • It has a metal core instead of clay or charcoal, so it wears down slowly, and may actually outlive you

What we dislike

  • It doesn’t smudge or smear the way normal graphite does. That might be not very reassuring for those who use smudging techniques while sketching.

3. The Stair Table Lamp

Designed by Notchi Architects for Oblure, the Stair Table Lamp is inspired by a playful and whimsical approach to geometry and gravity. The lamp brings to mind the image of a sphere balanced delicately on the edge of a staircase.

What we dislike

  • Need to take precautions so that it doesn’t get damaged when you carry it around

6. The Forest Tidy

This neat and cute-looking set of containers is called the Forest Tidy, and it has been carved from rosewood. These containers bring a whole new level of organization and tidiness to your workdesk while maintaining a connection to the wooden nature of furniture in your home.

Why is it noteworthy?

The Forest Tidy kit splits and divides your workdesk into different categories. It provides space for stationery, tech, EDC, and cables, and also has a dedicated stand for your monitor, with nifty stowaway space for your keyboard and mouse.

What we like

  • The containers are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, tailor-made to your tabletop belongings
  • Features a dedicated phone stand that allows you to dock your phone either in portrait or landscape

What we dislike

  • The phone stand doesn’t come with a channel for a cable pass-through, which means it won’t function as a charging stand

  • Built from recyclable aluminum

What we dislike

  • Not sure if it is strong enough for long durations of work

8. Japanese Drawing Pads

These Japanese drawing pads are simple yet stunning and will help you get those amazing ideas flowing from your mind. The blank canvas pulls out the ideas from your mind, while the physicality and texture of the paper function as an anchor for your brain.

Why is it noteworthy?

It is perfect for sketching art, creating designs, and any other creative pursuit, accepting your ideas and your mistakes with the serenity and openness of a blank page.

What we like

  • Utilizes high-quality Japanese paper that is preferred by stationery connoisseurs

What we dislike

  • It does seem like an ordinary notepad from the looks of it

9. The Gravity Pen

The Gravity Pen is pretty intriguing since it puts the center of gravity closer to where your fingers are, making it easier to make agile strokes. The pen does that by having a grip that’s larger than the barrel, expanding the area of the grip for a more comfy hold.

Why is it noteworthy?

The faceted form of that grip also makes it easier to grip the pen, allowing for a more stable grip as well. It’s the ultimate ergonomic pen design, thanks to a smart application of physics and minimalist design principles.

What we like

  • Extremely ergonomic to hold and use
  • Durable and lightweight

What we dislike

  • Not available in different color options

10. Reck_Cone

Called the Reck_Cone, this concept design merges different products into one single piece. It functions as a handy headphone holder, although it doesn’t look like one at first glance, owing to its innovative shape.

Why is it noteworthy?

The Reck_Cone isn’t like traditional typical holders, it hangs the headphones down and allows them to wrap around its almost conical form. It looks as if the headphones are hanging from a person’s neck, allowing it to have a more natural appearance.

What we like

  • The Reck_Cone’s form is eye-catching, and even without the headphones, it displays an unusual shape that looks like a vase with a “wing” on its back

What we dislike

  • The form is bulky and not effective on a small desk setup

This Hyper-Customizable Desk is like if Minecraft met Furniture Design

As we transitioned to a WFH lifestyle, I remember spending days online scrolling through e-commerce websites to just look for the right work desk. All the desks were either too narrow, or had the wrong height, or put cabinets and shelves in the wrong places. It took me nearly a week to finally come across what I thought was the ideal work desk – an L-shaped table that fit perfectly into my study room… and then I got evicted. I found a new flat, but my new study room couldn’t accommodate the desk the way I needed it. It was pretty much back to square one. If only something like the Den Desk existed back in the day, I wouldn’t have had any problems.

Designer: Den

The Den Desk adopts an IKEA-like DIY approach to furniture, but takes things one step further. Each desk comes flat-packed and can be assembled easily, but unlike IKEA’s furniture, the desks can be customized and joined together to form limitless combinations. The desks are endlessly modular, have a tool-less assembly, and are also covered by a lifetime warranty, which means you can use them forever and carry them with you as you shift homes, simply adjusting and re-building them to fit your new spaces… and that’s pretty much the open ideology the folks at Den are trying to champion. Their desks encourage the creation of any kind of office space, whether it’s a home office, an open office, or a cubicle office. The desks are endlessly adjustable and cater to your exact needs and requirements.

The beauty of Den’s furniture is that it’s designed around principles of hyper-modularity, like LEGO and Minecraft. You can build a regular desk, or merge two together, or even have one overlapping on top of a cabinet. The desk doesn’t really come with a set of rigid guidelines or user manuals – instead, you can either order the desk online or order its separate parts individually and put them together however you see fit. Moreover, the folks at Den also offer a variety of color customization options, allowing you to choose the wood-grain finish on your tabletop as well as opt between black or white powder-coated aluminum legs and panels.

The modular desk comes with a furniture-grade Baltic Birch plywood top, which plugs right into the two powder-coated aluminum side legs. You can add a privacy panel for structural support on the front if you’re building a standalone table, or retain the desk’s minimalistic touch without the pane if you’re making more complex arrangements and connections. Components securely attach to each other relying on clever metal fixtures and thumb screws that let you assemble and disassemble your desk at any time without any tools necessary. You can even attach any of Den’s accessories to your desk like headphone hooks, bag holders, and monitor mounts to personalize your workspace further. This also encourages you to build the desk you want rather than settling for the desk that’s in the catalog. It’s time to build that Megadesk, Dwight!

Use this Modular Hanging Desk Rack to Free Up Valuable Space

In the modern world of shrinking living spaces, desk real estate has become a precious commodity—one that seems almost impossible to expand horizontally. Enter the appeal of modular desks, the beloved space-savers that adapt effortlessly to your changing needs, allowing you to upscale or downsize as the situation requires. But in this age of multitasking, modular desk accessories are gaining traction too, promising the same kind of flexibility. There’s a catch, though: they can quickly eat up all that newfound space. It can feel almost wasteful to allocate room for transient items—papers awaiting a file, the book you’re currently engrossed in, or the cords recharging your tech arsenal. That’s where this ingenious organizer set comes in, transforming an often overlooked part of your desk—the humble edge—into a smart and efficient storage solution.

Click Here to Buy Now: $149 $169 ($20 off at checkout). Hurry, deal ends in 48 hours!

Productivity gurus have long championed the mantra: ‘A place for everything and everything in its place.’ For items that temporarily grace our desks—those ‘transient’ objects that seem to constantly come and go—the traditional solution has been a tray, an inbox, or perhaps a basket. Practical, sure, but often these solutions end up commandeering space that could be devoted to more permanent desk residents. Plus, they generally offer a ‘one size fits all’ approach with little room for customization. That’s where the Hanging Desk Organizer Set changes the game.

Dangling conveniently over your desk’s edge, this organizer set doesn’t just save space—it reimagines it. Unlike the rigid, fixed form of a typical inbox, this modular marvel grants you the freedom to arrange and rearrange to your heart’s content. Tailor it to suit your unique workflow and bid farewell to the clutter that’s been cramping your creative style.

Intuitive Organizing

At first glance, the Hanging Desk Organizer Set may seem like wizardry, but its secret is far simpler: magnets. And not just any magnets—these are exceptionally strong, designed to keep your items securely in place without the need for screws or sticky residue. Crafted from robust steel, the rack sports a clean, unobtrusive design that could be likened to a square root or radical symbol. It doesn’t call attention to itself with flashy markings; it simply does its job, and does it well.

Here’s how it works: the rack’s short flap adheres to your desk’s edge effortlessly, requiring no screws or additional magnets. Its V-shaped space then becomes your new organization hub, ready to cradle magazines, letters, files, folders, and more in an accessible and visually pleasing manner. And for the avid reader constantly pressed for time? Drape your current read over the rack’s upper edge. It acts as a makeshift bookmark, holding your place when life inevitably interrupts your literary escape.

With this Hanging Desk Organizer Set, your desk becomes more than a workspace—it becomes a harmonious environment tailored to your needs, marrying functionality with minimalistic elegance.

Extendable for More Functions

Think of the Hanging Desk Organizer Set not just as a storage solution, but as a dynamic canvas for your workspace—a platform to which a medley of accessories can adhere, magnetically, to cater to your unique needs. The cable holder is a prime example: it attaches firmly to the rack’s edges, allowing you to dictate its position for optimal wire wrangling. Say goodbye to those pesky, tangling cords and reclaim your clean, focused work environment.

But the customization doesn’t stop at cables. The magnetic pin, a versatile gem, is ready to secure your sticky notes, hang keys and lanyards, or even cradle your phone between its two ends. For those heavier items that demand a strong hold, a non-magnetic hook is at your service, steadfast and reliable.

And the beauty of this system? Its utility extends beyond the bounds of the rack itself. Given their magnetic nature, these accessories—particularly the pins—are free to venture to other metallic surfaces in your space. They’re your roving organizers, ready to bring order wherever they land.

The Hanging Desk Organizer Set is more than a place to stash your stuff—it’s an invitation to reimagine your workspace, to shape it in a way that serves you, day in and day out.

The Hook

Zero Installation

Installing the Hanging Desk Organizer Set is as simple as positioning it on your desk—no screws, no drills, no hassle. That’s thanks to its special nano micro-suction tape, a clever feature that allows the rack to adhere securely to any flat surface without resorting to actual adhesive.

Rest assured, this isn’t the kind of setup that commits you to a single configuration or a lone location. Need to rearrange your workspace? The rack is as flexible as your plans. It peels away cleanly, leaving no trace of its presence—no sticky residue or marred surfaces here. And if you’re transitioning to a new desk or table, simply wash the suction tape to restore its stickiness and it’s ready for its next assignment.

With the Hanging Desk Organizer Set, you’re not just organizing your space; you’re investing in a tool that adapts to your evolving needs, with the kind of simplicity that makes your life easier from day one.

Crafted from either steel or aluminum alloy, each piece in the Hanging Desk Organizer Set is designed to stand the test of time. These are materials synonymous with endurance, promising a lifetime of steadfast service. Yet, for all their durability, these pieces wear their strength subtly. Their minimalist design and understated hues are crafted to complement—not compete with—any environment, whether that’s a bustling office where drilling holes is frowned upon, or a serene home workspace designed for deep focus.

This set invites you to live, quite literally, on the edge of productivity. It relegates your essentials to the edge of your desk, but keeps them within arm’s reach—always accessible, never in the way. It’s organization that understands the value of your space and time.

With this sleek, handsome modular rack, you’re not just tidying your desk; you’re carving out a clearer path to productivity, inviting a sense of calm and focus that empowers you to achieve more, every single day.

And an excellent addition to your workdesk would be the Note Taking Kit by Grovemade.

Minimalist Primary Colored Lamp With A Rotatable Head Adds a Playful Touch To Your Workdesk

I love a beautifully-designed lighting design because I truly believe a really great one has the ability to illuminate a space – both literally, and metaphorically. And one such innovative and well-designed lighting product I recently laid eyes upon is the Nod Lamp by Tiptoe.

Designer: Tiptoe

Designed by French furniture brand Tiptoe, the Nod Lamp is a cheerful and playful lamp with a tiltable head and a dimmable light. The Nod Lamp is Tiptoe’s first lamp, and it is named after its articulate head. The head has an interesting rounded shape, that can rotate up to 35 degrees on each side to direct and guide light in various directions. The lamp also features a dimmable light that makes it pretty useful for both moments of concentration and relaxation.

Tiptoe describes the Nod Lamp as a “sustainable and thoughtful design”. It is built from recyclable aluminum, and steel and features a low-power LED light source. The lamp is built in Portugal and is available in the form of a table lamp or a clamped lamp, which is inspired by the design of Tiptoe’s modular table legs – one of the brand’s signature products. The Nod Lamp is available in the brand’s key signature colors of Graphite Black, Cloud White, Ash Pink, Rosemary Green, and Eucalyptus Gray, and two new colors called Majorelle Blue and Naples Yellow.

The compact minimalist lamp would make an excellent addition to your work desk, illuminating it and functioning effortlessly, while adding a burst of character and whimsical playfulness to it as well. You can pick the color choice that perfectly complements your home office and work desk, adding an element of primary color that elevates your otherwise mundane worktable.

The exterior of this visionary workstation, like the run-of-the-mill desks, stands just as a barrier between the executive and the visitor, but it’s the interactive exhibition hall within. A canvas that showcases the essence of the occupant’s personality, interests, and aspirations while maintaining privacy and exclusivity from the other side.

Imagine a client walking into your office and instantly greeted by a translucent exterior narrating a story. A story that isn’t just about the company’s earnings or projections here, but one that delves into the very soul of the executive ethos and individuality.

To religiously live the story, the Pallas-Executive is an art piece that discreetly harmonizes the balance between accessibility and privacy. The desk features a dual-layered design. It ingeniously divides the interior into two distinct realms: the upper echelon for essential files and documents, and the lower tier dedicated to spare shoes and other essentials.

The rising generation of executives has made it obvious that work is no longer a mere chore but a profound path to self-fulfillment. The Pallas-Executive Work Station mirrors this spirit, and presents itself as a purposeful addition to a workspace that’s a complete oasis of inspiration.
