This Minimal, Elegant & Warm-Toned Furniture Collection Is Perfect For Your Contemporary Home

A beautiful piece of furniture can complete a room. It can be the final piece that makes a space come full circle, building a comfortable and cohesive haven, rather than a random area. Furniture pieces make or break a home, they add to the essence or soul of a home, hence one needs to be extremely picky while choosing a furniture design. The design should be a reflection of you, and what you want your home to be. When you place a piece of furniture in a room, it should instantly integrate with the space, creating a wholesome and organic environment. We’ve curated a collection of minimal furniture designs that we believe will do this – the Croma furniture collection. Each of these pieces is unique, well-crafted, and made with a whole lot of love, and the love really shines through in the fine detailing and workmanship. We hope you feel the love too!

Designer: Lagranja Design for Systemtronic

Designed by Barcelona studio Lagranja Design for the furniture brand Systemtronic, the Croma furniture collection is a minimal and subtle range of furniture pieces that are highlighted by curved lines and a warm-toned color palette. The materials and finishes used to build the furniture collection are inspired by the warmth and beauty of the Mediterranean. The pieces are built using natural and stained ash wood combined with painted and chrome-plated aluminum.

The Croma collection includes a wardrobe with a rail with an arched top over two shelves and a planter bench with rounded edges. The bench has space for potted plants. It also includes three sizes of circular tables, a valet stand, mirrors, and a trolley.  Systemtronic says that the Croma collection is “fun, almost playful, furniture that is easily recognizable thanks to its geometric consistency”. “[It is] a key modern collection which incorporates organic shapes and explores all that is different, emotional and serene,” the brand concluded.

The Croma furniture collection is a sophisticated and elegant furniture collection that would add manifolds of style and charisma to any living space. The various pieces perfectly complement one another, creating a collection that is harmonious, well-designed, and minimalist.

Linea Is The Colorful, Quirky & Functional Storage Collection You’ve Been Searching For Your Home

One problem that never seems to leave us, especially if you’re living in a major city – is the lack of space! If you’re an independent millennial who recently moved out of their family home and into their own, then a major issue that you may be dealing with almost every day…is space constraints in your own home. Our modern millennial homes have many virtues, but one thing they lack is space! Space constraint is something most of us end up dealing with every day. Smart storage solutions can be lifesavers in such tricky and compact situations. One such solution is the Linea storage collection!

Designer: Alessandro Mendini x Porro

The Linea collection includes a range of colorful and quirky storage units that were designed by late postmodernist architect and designer Mendini a couple of years ago. Italian furniture brand Porro is now developing them for the first time! Mendini created the designs by defining them with stunning cellulose acetate surfaces that feature inlays in primary colors. The collection is made up of three pieces – two sideboard cupboard units, and a writing desk.

“We identified in the Alessandro Mendini archive some drawings that had a very advanced level of design,” said Mendini’s daughters, Fulvia and Elisa Mendini. “These pieces of furniture are really very faithful to the original design, we are really happy for this collaboration.”

The pieces are currently only available in a limited series, and only 50 pieces of each design are being produced. One of the cupboards features an open-faced module and drawer, while the other one features two hinged doors. The writing desk is quite playful with a drop-leaf with an internal partition. It is elevated by two dark legs. The entire collection is characterized by bold and bright colors, with playful contrasts between light and dark colors. If you’re someone who enjoys quirky and eclectic designs with a bold personality while incorporating excellent functionality then the Linea collection is for you!

“With the chromatic exuberance typical of Alessandro Mendini’s design, Linea perfectly expresses all the ingredients of a Porro object: geometric purity, accurate workmanship, and technological details,” said Porro’s head of marketing and communication, Maria Porro.

These bao-like poufs for modern workspaces are the perfect mix of playfulness and practicality

Employees have slowly but surely made their way back to corporate offices, and it is certainly a transitionary phase where they learn to adapt and settle down in an office space once again. In such a situation, it’s important to add well-designed furniture designs that help them feel comfortable, space, and motivated in their workplace. And adding the right furniture designs can greatly contribute to creating an office that is conducive to motivation and productivity. And one such furniture collection that I recently came across is the Bao Collection poufs by Alda Ly Architecture for HBF.

Designer: Alda Ly Architecture for HBF

Designed by interior design firm Alda Ly Architecture for furniture brand HBF, the Bao Collection is an adorable-looking range of cushy poufs that are meant to be playful, amusing, and versatile. The entire collection is inspired by “the beauty of geometry”, and features six poufs in different iterations – small and round, round and stacked, round and medium, a larger half-round version, and a low and high-backed one as well. The Bao Collection is intended for office spaces, where easy pull-up seats are needed for desk-side meetings. In such scenarios, the poufs function as flexible and versatile seating options.

“The multiple meanings of the word ‘bao’ include expressions of preciousness and playfulness, and we designed a pouf that exudes both,” said Alda Ly Architecture founder Alda Ly. “The Bao Collection was conceived to bridge the gap between formal and informal and sedate and lively, and offers a seating solution like no other,” added HBF. The poufs indeed have a playful and quirky appeal to them, providing them with the ability to lighten up workspaces. You can pick from different handle options designed for easy transportation, or opt for handleless versions that can be stacked on top of each other, to save space.

The Bao Collection poufs are available in a wide range of colorful upholstery that can be customized according to personal preference. You can pick from various performance-coated fabrics, full-grain leather, and bleach-cleanable woven textiles. All the pieces are SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold Certified and meet ANSI/BIFMA Level® 2 Furniture Sustainability Standard.

This mobile and flexible seating collection meets the furniture requirements of schools and offices

We often underestimate the importance of great office furniture! When in reality we really shouldn’t. We spend the majority of our day sitting on our office chairs or typing away on our desks whether we’re working in our home office or a corporate one. Hence, these pieces of furniture need to be not only comfortable but ergonomic, and aesthetic as well. And one such furniture design I recently came across for our modern-day office spaces is the Hybe seating collection.

Designer: Form Us With Love for EFG

Designed by industrial design studio Form Us With Love for furniture manufacturer EFG, the Hybe seating collection is a dynamic and mobile seating collection, that is quite versatile and unique. The brand says that the seating collection, is in fact, defined by ‘versatility’. The collection was designed to be utilized for both professional and educational environments.

“The [furniture] family’s primary characteristic is versatility, as it provides seating areas and meeting spaces that meet your needs and assignments at any given moment,” said EFG. The furniture collection includes single to double-seated chairs and enclosed booths. They’ve all been equipped with wheels, to create seating solutions that are both mobile and flexible. The singe-seat versions have been amped with wooden armrests, although they come without as well. Partition screens can be attached to the single and double-seated chairs, to transform them into sound-blocking booths, that function as private and secluded spaces to work in. The chairs come with castors or swivel bases.

“In recent years, we’ve seen significant changes in working environments, and tomorrow’s workplace will be even more versatile. A single piece of furniture will have to do more than one thing, and Hybe is the perfect hybrid for relaxation and work. You can work in it, hold a meeting or take a phone call,” said Form Us With Love co-founder John Löfgren. The seating collection features tubular steel chair legs which the brand defines as “a classic Scandinavian design with a soft, playful twist”. Wooden accents and soft delicate upholstery in a wide range of colors mark the various chairs. All the individual elements of the Hybe collection can be replaced and recycled over time.

This versatile seating collection includes modular seating and work booths to make offices comfortable

And one such furniture design that I recently came across is the Homework seating collection by Derlot.

Designer: Derlot

Designed by Derlot founder Alexander Lotersztain, the Homework seating collection includes modular seating and work booths designed to make corporate offices feel more comfortable and conducive to productivity. It consists of a versatile and wide range of linkable elements which feature a harmonious merging of wood and upholstery. The blending of wooden and upholstered elements creates a collection of furniture pieces that are minimal and sturdy.

The collection consists of 90-degree curved units that are conjoined together to form a ring or circle of seating around a table. It also includes 60-degree angled units that can be used to create intriguing layouts, as well as workstations that can be utilized to work in some privacy and with some more focus. There are booths as well that can be used to hold small or casual meetings. The various seating units are available in a variety of options – with no backs at all, low backs, or high backs. The high backs are available with an option of bar tables at the back, which can be used to create an additional casual seating area or a stand-up desk.

“Marrying functionality, simplicity, and contemporary design aesthetics, Homework embraces the compound nature of its name by challenging the relevance of clear-cut workspaces and bringing a feeling of home to work,” said Derlot. The seating collection comes upholstered in an option of fabric or leather – according to the customer’s choice. The legs and tabletop are available in options of American oak, black-stained American oak, or American walnut. Integrated power units can be added to the seating as well.
