This Stand Turns Your iPhone into a Classic Macintosh
Are you a fan of the original Apple Macintosh? This smartphone stand can transform your modern day Apple device into a 1984 model Macintosh in a snap.
Elago’s M4 phone stand looks like a classic Mac, but it’s been stretched and distorted horizontally in order to accommodate the widescreen landscape orientation of today’s smartphones. The result is pretty goofy looking if you ask me, but it’s a bit more convincing if you connect a bluetooth keyboard to your phone. I suppose if you jailbreak your iPhone and run Mini vMac on it, that’s where the fun would really kick in.
The stand is made from scratch-free silicone, and has a slot in the side which can hold the iPhone 6, 6S, 7, and presumably the iPhone 8 as well. There’s also a larger version for iPhone Plus models. However the slot is pretty narrow, so you can’t have a case on your phone when you dock it.
The stand is available in classic off-white or black over on Amazon for $29.99(USD). The larger iPhone Plus model goes for $39.99.
Macinbot Classic: Think Different About Your Toy Collection
Apple fanboys and fangirls, here’s a chance to own a miniature Macintosh computer for your office. Okay, so the Macinbot Classic isn’t exactly an officially-licensed bit of Apple memorabilia, but it is pretty nifty nonetheless.
This little dude was inspired by the original 1984 Macintosh and early ’90s Macintosh Classic computers, and is the perfect desktop companion. While I’d rather that he had the original smiley face icon on his screen, Macinbot Classic’s face looks more like he’s about to play a game of Pong. Still, he’s pretty adorable.
His arms and legs are detachable and held on with magnets, and he comes with ADB mouse and font suitcase accessories. The collectible measures 10 cm (~3.9″ tall), and is made from injection-molded ABS plastic.
Macinbot Classic is available for pre-order now from PlaySomeToys, and is selling for just $25(USD). The first orders are expected to start shipping in August.

Macintosh Classic Turned from Trash to Trash Bin
Redditor HaHaBird bought several Mac Classic shells at a surplus shop a decade ago. He never figured out what to do with them until recently, when he converted one into a trash bin.
The bin’s main feature is its screen, which swings inward like the door on a normal trash bin. But that’s not the computer’s original screen. HaHaBird heated a flat acrylic panel to soften it so it would conform to the Classic’s frame, and then attached hinges on the upper edge of the panel and the frame. So now if you throw money at the screen it will actually take it.
Check out HaHaBird’s build log below:

Wooden Macintosh 128K Replica: The Golden Apple
While Love Hultén’s retro-futuristic wooden machines are inspired by past gadgets, they usually still end up being distinct and fresh. But for one of his recent projects, Love opted to make a straight up replica of a classic computer.
Love’s The Golden Apple is a life-size replica of Apple’s original Macintosh 128K. Inside the American walnut body is a Mac Mini, and a DVD drive resides in place of the floppy drive. Love also made a matching wooden wireless mouse and a wooden keyboard with gold-plated keycaps.
I don’t know if Love is selling The Golden Apple, but he did say it’s a one-off. He should at least make more of that cool mouse.
