Outdoor pet equipment company TailHigh has revealed the ‘Hybrid Dog Harness’ combining a harness with a leash in one single contraption that saves the trouble of carrying an additional leash and attaching or detaching it to the harness. This innovative dog accessory, with lightweight and retractable tape-type leash extendable up to 5 feet, is designed by BKID. Interestingly, it is made from breathable, soft EVA foam combined with mesh fabric for a comfortable fit. The harness is equipped with a seat belt like two-way-lock safety stop technology, which if the dog pulls the string during an unexpected action, can automatically stop the line even if the owner misses the handle, letting the dog escapes unhurt.

The hybrid dog harness is available in three – small, medium, and large sizes, so it can be applied from small dogs to large ones up to 77lbs. It comes with a Y-shaped chest pad to keep the dog’s chest from compressing in case of unwanted pulls and nudges and also features light-reflective stitching on the chest logo and leash to ensure more visibility in the dark. Available in Sunset Pink, Moss Green and Himalayan Blue colors, the all-in-one leash and harness costs $68.99.

This flipping cat bowl avoids food spillage wet + dry meals, and prevents whisker fatigue!

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this design was a cat standing in front of the bowl, it takes a long pause and says, “Welcome to my TailTalk!” – now you can’t unsee it so let’s ‘talk’ about it. TailTalk is a multifunctional pet bowl that happens to have won the Red Dot Award 2020 as well as the Good Design Award 2019, so it certainly solves a problem most pet owners face – food spillage.

The innovative bowl takes into account that the pets eat both dry + wet foods for their respective benefits, and this product serves the purpose of holding both instead of having two bowls. The design is intuitive for pets and their owners, both sides of the liner can be used by simply flipping it over. The shallow side holds the wet food and the deeper side is for dry food, this way it prevents odor and minimizes bacterial growth. Shallow depth is chosen for wet food because it contains the moisture and makes it easy to lap up the wet bits while the deeper bowl is chosen for dry food to avoid spilling of crumbs. Clean eating isn’t just limited to ingredients, to keep the space clean while pets enjoy their meal TailTalk has a gap between the inner and outer shell which works as an anti-overflow tank. I call this gap the food moat!

Another benefit of the cleverly crafted bowl is that it avoids whisker fatigue. Your cat’s whiskers are extremely sensitive and can become easily fatigued by unnecessary contact with things like the sides of bowls. So to prevent whisker fatigue, you should make sure your cat’s food bowls are low and shallow and her water dish is wide – exactly like TailTalk which also has a gap that further minimizes contact with the sides. The simple design is effective in avoiding food waste and keeping the space hygienic which is healthy for your pets too. It saves you cleaning effort and now there are very slim chances of your pet eating food scattered on the floor that could disrupt their digestion and lead to more cleaning for you.

This high-tech portable mat is designed to clean, dry and disinfect your pet’s paws!

If you have pets, you already know that you are an experienced cleaner – not just because you have to keep your home clean but also because you always have to make sure your pet is clean, that way you both remain healthy! When you take your pets out for a walk there is bound to be dirt that comes home with them, especially if you live in a place with a wet season. This obviously isn’t good for your home but also can cause infections for your pet if not cleaned out well. It can be a tedious task to do every time you step out with them and this concept design is aimed at giving pet owners a paw-some solution!

Pet Paws is a high-tech sanitizing mat used to clean, disinfect, and dry the legs of our pets as well as the soles of our shoes. The efficient product design is a simple roll-up mat that is easy to carry and store. The team worked on elevating an existing prototype by adding improved functionality and simplifying it further – the redesigned version is now just a one-piece product, unlike the original one which had four parts. It has two areas on its surface – the first section of the mat has a multi-directional cleaning texture which bends and cleans inside the paws in a friendly manner, and the second section of the mat has a cushioned texture which helps to dry the paws as the pet walks over the microfiber sleeve.

Both parts have a texture that has been cleverly selected to maximize the efficiency of the process by making sure it can clean inside the paws without any discomfort or complex steps. The ridged cleaning part is made of recycled tire rubber so it ensures durability and the set also includes a removable microfibre cover for the other half. The mat has a central indicator to fill up 500 ml of water for the cleaning process. The soft drying surface features suction dampers at different heights to make sure that all areas of the paws are covered. Once you are done, just roll the mat over so the water will flow vertically to the front pocket where it can be stored till you dispose of it. Tilt the mat and the smart draining mechanism will take care of the rest! I bet this works for kids too.

This dog-friendly nail clipper clips without any bleeding or stress!

If you have owned a dog you know that there are two things that can be hectic for the both of you – giving your dog a bath and trimming his nails. When it comes to bath time, it is stressful for the owner but turns out to be a fun time for the dog after the first minute. But clipping your dog’s nails is stressful for you and your dog because of the risk of cutting their quick (blood vessel in the nail).

Dog’s nails have a ‘quick’ inside their nails which has blood vessels and nerve endings, it grows with the nails and recedes naturally as you keep trimming over time. The problem is that you cannot see this quick so there is a risk of cutting it when you trim the nails and that can cause a lot of bleeding, pain, and stress. It can also make you scared of trimming your dog’s nails because you don’t want to hurt them. Quik is an alternative to existing nail clippers as it was designed to help the owner determine the approximate location and trim safely.

The wearable nail clipper illuminates the nail and the quick within so you can precisely trim it without any hassle. It not only reduces the stress you and your pet may feel, but it also saves numerous visits to the vet. It is also ergonomically created so it makes you comfortable and confident when you trim your dog’s nails. I personally always took my dog to the vet to get his nails clipped because I was afraid to do it but a pet product like Quik can make things a lot more safe and efficient for us.

This portable dry room keeps your home and pets hygienic during quarantine

Quarantining with pets has its pros and cons, it is emotionally comforting to have your pet around during these hard times but it is also a task to switch their entire routine indoors especially if you have a dog. The isolation is an adjustment for every living being and we all have to find hacks around what used to be ‘normal life’. I have a dog and every time I gave him a bath, I would take him out for a quick walk so the sun would dry his coat and warm him up. Being under lockdown means I cannot step out often but I still have to bathe and dry my dog and would prefer if my apartment didn’t end up smelling like wet fur…you know what I mean! Enter – Cozypet Dryroom and by the end of this, you are going to want one in a human size, trust me.

If you have a small to medium pet (yes, even a Malamute is a puppy but let’s be real for a second), then Cozypet Dryroom is exactly what you need for rainy days and quarantine days. The design is sleek and minimal so it can fit with any interior style and won’t take up more than a small corner. With the clear door, it almost looks like your furry friend’s personal sauna room. To me, it looks like a cozy nook that gets your pet all warm and ready to cuddle – I truly wish they make one for people too!

One zip is all it takes to clean this pet house!

I think the only argument you can have over a pet (I have it with my sister all the time!) is who’s going to clean up the hair they shed? It gets everywhere from your clothes to your furniture, and probably even your food. Your furry friend can’t help it, they will shed and it is impossible to get every last hair. But to make it easier, a Korean designer has created this pet house called Zipup which reduces the time and effort you spend cleaning. Also, how sleek does it look? It’s the kind of house a dog called James Bond would have!

The pet house is designed with comfortable fabric and features a lined pattern on the resting pad. It also has a very modern-looking shade inspired by strollers. Zipup has a very simple yet efficient concept to solve this pet-hair-everywhere problem, one zip motion will swipe the hair off the resting pad your pet sits on. Truly, it is that easy and the most amount of hair will be in the pet house so once you get that, 80% of your job is done. The zipper has a round easy grip and you slide it across the line for the hair to collect at the bottom which lets you empty it more conveniently than running around the house with a vacuum (let’s be honest, a broom is no match for a non-hypoallergenic pet). Don’t you just want to get it in all three colors right hair, right now?

Sweden’s first cat psychologist helped create this perfect cat home!

Anyone who has a pet knows that we only work hard to give them the life they deserve, and just like us the folks at 24 Storage understand that you must pamper your children especially the furry ones! So they came up with this ingenious Cat Flat that looks like a modern piece of furniture on the outside and keeps your cats happy on the inside. It is essentially a penthouse for your cat that matches your living room.

The Cat Flat has been carefully designed based on the advice of Sweden’s first cat psychologist, Susanne Hellman Holmström, who brought to light the 10 necessities apart from basic essentials that cats need for the best emotional and physical health. The needs range from scratching, cleaning fur, playing, discovering, being social, etc. and Cat Flat takes care of them all keeping in mind they spend most of their time indoors. Think of it as a hybrid of a home and a jungle gym for your cat.

Based on the cat psychologist’s advice, Hellman Holmström collaborated with interior designer Eleonor Moschevitz created the details, aesthetics, and functionality of the Cat Falt. It looks like an organic wooden storage cabinet crafted from walnut veneer with dross having vertical slats at different angles to give it a lift. It has three levels for your cats inside complete with stimulating elements and toys. Your home doesn’t have to be taken up by random cat play areas anymore, this beautiful piece of furniture checks the box for you and your feline friends.

A luxurious range of handmade pet accessories that fuses functionality with style!

Just hearing the words ‘Pet Accessories’ sends a shiver up my spine, but…a collection of luxurious and super stylish pet accessories, ‘designed to elevate ordinary moments’ for our furry companions and us, has got my arms covered in goosebumps! And that’s exactly what Seattle-based brand Boo Oh promises to give us. Minimalistic, sophisticated, and created from the most exquisite materials, the entire collection is handmade. The brand name ‘Boo Oh’ is an amalgamation of the founder’s name Jay Sae Jung Oh and the name of her French bulldog Boo. Disappointed by the lack of variety in the pet accessories that could be found in the market, she created Boo Oh in an attempt to combine comfort with attractive aesthetics.

First in line is my absolute favorite, the 100% handmade ‘Ray Harness’. Though it is patent-pending, the Ray Harness is a utility design that merges a leash and a harness to create one exceptional product. Crafted from a single piece of padded interwoven synthetic silk fiber rope and a series of Buttero leather features, the process of attaching and detaching the harness onto your pet brings to mind all the times you may have opened and closed a rucksack or knapsack! Available in a variety of picture-perfect colors such as Brilliant Pink, Elegant Gray, Pacific Blue, and Emerald Green, the Ray Harness is the one accessory that will ensure the comfort of your pet, as well as total ease when you have to handle their restless little souls!
