Skull Shaped Speaker Dock

New from Jarre (who you might remember from their 11 foot tall iPod dock), it’s the Aeroskull, an iPhone speaker dock shaped like a skull. Behind the metallic skull’s sunglasses are a pair of 15 watt speakers while a 40 watt subwoofer pumps out the bass straight from his dome to your dome. Probably ideal for playing some death metal or even Grateful Dead.

You get your choice of 11 colors and while the dock is still using Apple’s now outdated 30 pin connector, the speakers are also bluetooth compatible for wireless audio streaming straight to head. A wireless bone remote comes with it too. It’s available this month in the UK for about $560. Apparently death don’t have no mercy…for the poor. (via pocket-lint)

Jarre Aeroskull speaker dock packs dual 15watt woofers, recently departed Apple Dock Connector

Just in time for Halloween, Jarre's new Aeroskull dock embodies 70 watts of total power in a human-like cranium, complete with a pair of speaker-packing shades. Jarre is showing off the colorful chrome tune machine in black, white, blue, green, orange, pink, purple and yellow finishes, with a matching IR bone remote to boot. With a tinted lens appearance, the permanently affixed sunglasses actually contain two 15-watt speakers, with a 40-watt subwoofer occupying the skull's rear. The lofty £349 (about $565) sticker price will net you some of the latest technologies, including Bluetooth audio support and a standard 3.5mm audio input, but Apple's new Lightning port is notably absent, with a good-as-dead Dock Connector mounted up top, instead. With 70 watts of power and Jarre's backing, this seemingly bizarre rig may actually offer decent performance. You'll need to wait until its October ship date to see for yourself, but if a skeletal sound system is on your list of must-haves, you can rest in peace knowing that you have but weeks to live (with your current spirited setup).

Skull Electric Violin

skull violin 650x560 Skull Electric Violin
Check out this badass electric violin shaped like a skull. The Stratton Skull 5-string Electric Violin retails for $2999. Obviously someone is making a killing on that. Make no bones about it, this violin is cool. This a seriously killer instrument with a Barbera Twin Hybrid transducer system for a strong output signal with a rich focused tone suited for high-volume performances with high-gain effects. And no I don’t know what all that means either.

Star Wars Gets Dead

While Darth Vader and a few Stormtroopers might be dead already, and Boba Fett (nearly) perished in the Sarlacc pit, many of the other Star Wars characters have lived on. But if you’re to believe these images by artist Jeff Hulligan, several key characters are now among the dead (or the undead, if they’re Star Wars zombies.)

star wars dead

In addition to posthumous images of Vader and one of his Stormtrooper guard, we’ve got dead versions of one of the Rebel X-Wing pilots, Boba Fett, and sadly, R2-D2 and C-3P0, or as I like to call them – The Walking Droid. You may now proceed to slap me. These prints make me wonder what dead Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie might look like. Of course that could be Red 5′s skull above, but I’m going with Red Leader Garven Dreis.

Each 8.5″ x 8.75″ print is limited to just 50 pieces, and is signed by the artist. You can grab these Dead Star Wars prints over at Jeff’s Etsy shop for $10 each or for $50 for the full set of six.

Badass Adirondack Skull Chair

wood skull chair Badass Adirondack Skull Chair
Check out this badass skull chair by Bokusenshi. I’m no chair expert but I’m pretty sure this is the world’s most awesome Adirondack chair. Love the detailing on the arm rests, double skull action. It actually looks pretty comfortable too. We’re going to have to classify this in the WANT for my backyard section here. Heck, here’s a shot of it in the artist’s (Mathieu Naud) backyard in Winter:

The artist says he made it from “wood fences”, not sure if he’s referring to just the back or the whole thing or something got lost in translation there but either way great job.
