Darth Vader Helmet Armchair: The Dark Side of the Furniture

This Darth Vader armchair is the perfect chair for anyone who is allied with the Dark Side and wants to show it. Emperor Palpatine probably has one just like it in his office that he makes Vader sit in when they’re having meetings.

From the front it just looks like a modern black chair, cool but nothing super special. But from the back it is all Darth Vader. I think it should have a button that makes Vader’s breathing sound, but sadly it doesn’t.

Its maker, DSDStudio plans on making just 10 of these, so that is all that will ever exist. Don’t get excited about having one in your office or living room just yet though, because it will cost you $11,999.99(USD). And then there’s the small problem of having one shipped from Russia.

Introducing, Isolationist Furniture

sitland_01

The latest from Sitland, the Cell collection is aptly named for the way each piece encapsulates the user in a cocoon of calmness. Designed for today’s world, the seating allows you to be absorbed in what you do with no interruptions. The high-walls of the sofa/chairs give one a sense of security, while a charging port on the side of the chair just about makes it the most ideal chair to while away your ‘me’ time on your phone without having anyone peer over your shoulder.

The high-back design of the sofa and armchair also provide considerable audio and visual isolation in an elegant way. Depending on placement, users can interact one another, or with their gadgets without interruption while seated, or take a solo break in peace and quiet.

This skull chair is perfect for your career as a Bond villain or comic book bad guy. When you sit down in this thing and pet your cat, people will know you mean business. Now all you need is a mansion to put this in and a shark tank.

It comes from Parisian designer Gregory Besson, and even though this is an idea that has been seen before, this one looks pretty sleek. This particular chair is fabricated from a fiberglass shell and has a high quality leather seat.

Each chair is unique and will be made on demand. Just make sure that all of your hostages enter the room when your back is to them, for a more menacing encounter.

Crystal Math

No. That isn’t a Pokémon. It’s a chair; and a pretty fine one, that too. Inspired by quartz, and built using an intricate mathematical algorithm derived from the mineral’s complex crystalline structure, the armchair comprises of a wooden frame and geometric cushions that you can arrange to make sure the chair feels comfortable. Each geometric cushion is unique and inimitable, making every single Quartz chair one-of-a-kind, much like its mineral counterpart!

Channel Your Inner Skeletor with the Skull Armchair

This skull armchair is the perfect throne. Especially if you like to cosplay as Skeletor and lounge around acting all evil. It’s best to face away from any captives that are going to be entering the room. You want them to see the skull face first and be thoroughly frightened before they see you. Though it needs to be placed on a rotating turntable for full effect.

This Skull Armchair was designed by French artist Harold Sangouard who probably sits in it and laughs maniacally all day. The face is very angular and pretty darn creepy. You should be petting a cat while sitting there too for dramatic effect.

How much is it? Too much, that’s how much. “Price available upon request.” In other words, you and I can’t afford it. Only evil geniuses should inquire. Wait, do evil geniuses buy things, or do they steal them all?

Human Armchair Disguise: Come Sit on My Lap

I find it amusing how Sherlock Holmes is a true master of disguise and blends in so well with his surroundings that you won’t even know he was there (think Game of Shadows.)

If you’ve ever wanted to pull the “I’m on the armchair but you can’t see me” trick but aren’t very good with makeup, then here’s your chance: the Human Chair by artist Jamie Isenstein.

Armchair Chair

It’s basically a two-legged suit of sorts that you can wear so you can pretend to be an armchair. The front legs will be care of your actual human legs, though based on the image alone, I’m not very sure how you’re supposed to breathe or see very well when you’re in this thing.

Of course, it’s hard to ignore two very human-looking arms and legs jutting out of the armchair, so if someone notices before they take a seat, then prepare to get kicked in the shins very hard.

A Chair with Chilean Soul

The 2R armchair, which takes name from its bold side pillars, is composed of just two materials: lenga wood and salmon skin upholstery, both native of Chile. This luxurious combination of materials creates a sophisticated and elegant expression against an otherwise minimal frame. Though somewhat fragile looking, the handcrafted process of traditional jointing and precision material bonds make it functionally very strong, stable, and comfortable.

The Blanket Chair: Who Needs Snuggies?

There’s something awesome about comfortable chairs, in which you can spend hours reading, working or simply chilling. This concept chair integrates a blanket into an all-in-one comfy package, allowing you to take advantage of its cuddliness.

The Autumn/Winter Chair was created by Polish fashion designer Aga Brzostek. The cover of this chair is like a big jumper, which is one of the reasons why it has sweater-like functions. It’s perfect to use as a cozy place during chilly winter nights. Hard foam was used for the structure of the chair. The seat and backrest were covered in softer foam for even more comfort. The cover is made from reclaimed wool to help keep you warm and toasty.

The cover is adjustable and removable, allowing users to change the look of the chair to their own preferences. It’s even got a handy pocket for holding magazines or books.

While this is still just a one-off concept piece, I suppose you could always ask your grandma to knit a similar cover for your favorite chair, but that could be quite the undertaking.
