‘Mighty No. 9’ demo gets a Humble Bundle and a new release date
Custom Mega Man Playstation: Sony Man
Check out this beautiful custom Mega Man Playstation from customizer Oskunk. This console looks amazing and I wish I had the talent to create something like this.
I’m a little rusty on my Mega Man villains, but I’m pretty sure that’s Bubble Man, Metal Man and of course our hero Mega Man in the center. The matching controller looks just as good. Love the dual M’s on them. That is damn good work, Oskunk. At first I thought it needed more bad guys, but it is actually perfect the way it is. I love all of the details.
I haven’t played Mega Man for years, but this makes me want to dust off the old console and play for a few hours. Too bad the only way to play it on this console is with an obscure Japanese import.

Calling All Mega Fans: Mega Man LEGO Set Up For Voting on Cuusoo
You’ve read the comics, watched the TV series, and played the video games. Now it’s time to play a different kind of Mega Man. He’s been around for ages and it’s about time he got his own LEGO set. He’s not quite there yet, though, because the Mega Man set designed by Alatariel is still up for voting on Cuusoo. Designs need to get at least 10,000 votes before LEGO will consider producing it–the keyword there being “consider,” since not all of the sets that reach the required number of votes are actually made.
Alatariel’s set includes most of the elements you know and love from the iconic franchise, include: Dr. Wily’s Castle, a playable stage inside the castle, Dr. Wily in his flying Capsule, famous nemeses including Sniper Joe and Metool, a set of power-ups, and of course, Mega Man himself and Rush.
You can vote for the Mega Man set on its LEGO Cuusoo page.

Megaman creator reveals crowd-funded Mighty No.9, his new (familiar-looking) game
Keiji Inafune is a bit of a games-making legend. Co-designer of the original Megaman, not to mention producing both the Dead Rising series and multiple Resident Evil titles, he's going back to his roots. Inafune announced at PAX this weekend that he's working on a new 2D action shooter, Mighty No.9, that looks (and apparently plays) an awful lot like some of his prior hits. The plot is pretty familiar too: a plucky robot has to battle six rouge automatons (or eight, depending on funding), stealing unique weapons and abilities from each one. According to the man himself, there's been no reaction from Capcom -- at least not yet -- and he's looking for you to help make the game a reality. The project's live on Kickstarter, and it's aiming to raise $900,000 (in just 30 days) to develop the title.
Twenty bucks will net backers a digital copy (through Steam), while $40 will also include digital copies of the game manual, art book / strategy guide and a copy of the original soundtrack. Naturally, the game will be ported over to major consoles if backers can reach a set of defined stretch goals. Crank up your donation to $60 and you'll get it all on old-school physical media, alongside a playable golden version of the game's protagonist -- and we all know everything's better in gold.

Check It Out: It’s Mega Meat!
The dude in charge of the meat department at the Uwajimaya supermarket in Seattle probably had too much time on his hands. It’s either that or he’s just a huge Mega Man fan because he molded, shaped, and formed the ground pork and beef into two well-known characters from the Mega Man franchise.
On the left is a fierce-looking porky version of Cut Man, while the right features Mega Man in all his beefy splendor. It’s pretty cool but gross in a raw-meat sort of way. Nonetheless, I’m sure many shoppers did a double and triple-take when they saw these trays on display at the store.

Guts Man Operation: It Takes a Very Steady Hand!
Perhaps it was because it gave me the chance to pretend I was a surgeon at age 10, or maybe it was just the risk of tiny shocks that made Operation one of my favorite childhood games. Of course, as I grew up, video games took over, and Mega Man was certainly in heavy rotation on my NES console. So when I saw this game which combines Operation and Mega Man, I though it would have been perfect for me when I was a kid.
This customized Operation game features the mighty and powerful Guts Man from the Mega Man games in place of Cavity Sam - yes, that guy had a name. It was made by toy hacker Kody Koala, who previously gave us the grotesque Gutsman anatomy doll. This mod got its start as an Iron Man Operation game and a Guts Man vinyl toy, bogth transformed by Mr. Koala into an awesome version of the classic electronic board game. As expected, all of his innards hanging out for you to perform various -ectomies on.
In place of classic guts like the Funny Bone and Spare Ribs, Guts Man has a Frozen Heat Pump and a Rusted Underbelly. The game is fully-functional, and even includes custom Gutsman inspired money to play with. Of course, his chest light illuminates if you make any surgical gaffes – though I’m not sure what sounds he makes when you goof up. I’m guessing the ones from Iron Man Operation, since he has the exact same part names.
Of course, all of this awesomeness doesn’t come cheap. You’ll need to save up $225(USD) to get your hands on this thing. But if you’ve got the dough kicking around (and not Monopoly money), then head on over to Etsy and grab it up, before another budding surgeon does.

Gamers looking to increase their street cred should feel comfortable wearing their favorite gaming icons with pride. But if you’re not ready to wear something too over-the-top, then check out these sweet Converse Chuck Taylors, covered with hand-knit gamer designs.
They’re made by Katie of PrettySneaky, and they’re available in a variety of cool pixelated styles. Current designs include Super Mario, Minecraft creeper, Final Fantasy and the previously featured Mega Man patterns – all of which look great.
Though I might not want to wear creepers on my feet, for fear that they might attack me and explode or something.
Each pair is custom made, and can be ordered in any size. They sell for $130(USD) a pair, and you need them on your feet – now. Be sure to check out more of Katie’s cool and geeky designs over at her Etsy shop.
