A Dodge Viper high on testosterone with enough firepower to set the streets on fire!

A chunky Dodge Viper concept design filled with testosterone – ready to take command of the streets, race circuits, or conventional tracks for unparalleled dominance.

Dodge Viper is one sports car automotive enthusiasts will love to get a hold of, now that it is out of production and turning into a hot property with every passing year. While Dodge has no plans to revive the muscular hunk, the American sports car boasting a V10 engine lets the performance do all the talking – on the streets and tracks as well. While I still can’t get the flowing design of the Viper Basilisk Concept off my head, this new flashy Dodge Viper concept urges me to change my mind.

Designed and conceptualized by automotive designer Karan Adivi – who’s got a knack for visualizing hypnotic car designs – this concept shines with its wide-body stance and hot wheels – literally. Adivi tunes the already intimidating beast with his body kits on all sides to turn the Viper into a street racer god sent for the next Fast and Furious 10 shenanigans. The four-wheeler gets cheeky rear bumper lip diffusers, remodeled headlights, sharper front grill ducts, and a slightly uplifted hood nose that just stares at you so hard, you would eventually blink first!

The interiors are clad in red –matching the red on the wheels which is a hard thing to not get drawn into. The overall sports car appeal of the Dodge is certainly escalated in this concept design – and it’s highly desirable. Will this blue Dodge Viper with stylized white stripes capture my heart? It’s a close call, but I have to say a loud yes!

This sleek BMW i8 concept hints the revival of hybrid car revolution

Meet The Razorite, an all-electric BMW I8 sports car concept envisioning the iconic i8’s rise as a phoenix from the ashes after going out of production in 2021 and looking for a strong comeback if the German automaker brings it back to life.

BMW i8 plug-in hybrid is a name synonymous with sustainability to date since it kicked off the eco-friendly revolution back in 2014. The innovative hybrid sports car was taken out of production last year, but with a bang in 18 unique colors of the last units. A part of discontinuing the car’s production is to revive the whole hybrid philosophy at BMW and all is not lost as the car might see a comeback in coming years. The next version will be more powerful and ready to take on the dominance of Tesla in a big way.

Waiting for that resurrection I’m, and how the modern version of the iconic sports car will look like, is my deepest curiosity. Design student Harsh Sokal gives my intangible curiosity, able wings, courtesy of this BMW I8 concept. Harsh calls it The Razorite, and this all-electric sports car looks to be the worthy successor of the highly acclaimed hybrid car of the last decade – the BMW i8 in every possible aspect. The focus here is on the touring character of the car hinting at the sustainable future of circuit racing sans any impact on the already deteriorating environment.

Rather than completely revamping the visual dynamics of the i8 into an outrageous concept that defies reason, Harsh has mindfully made those cohesive changes and additions to retain the original’s slick aura. The all-carbon black paint job highlighted by the Alpine, Yokohama, AEM and ADVAN livery makes this sports car concept something that’s destined to be the dream car material – one that you desperately want to take control of of behind the wheel.

The black color schematic flows over to the fat Yokohama ADVAN performance tires – hinting towards the car’s racing DNA. This black draping is subtly matched to the yellow trims on the wheel rims, headlights, and the front grill. This revamped BMW i8 is definitely a masterpiece – raring to come alive on the streets and racing circuits with its charm to bamboozle them all!

This LEGO Toyota Supra master build made from 477,303 bricks can be driven at 17mph!

A full-scale LEGO version of the Toyota GR Supra that replicates the intricate design details of the real Japanese sports car both on the outside and inside as well.

The iconic Toyota GR Supra (earlier known as Celica Supra) celebrates its 35-anniversary this year and LEGO Japan, LEGOLAND Japan and Toyota Gazoo Racing have put together a life-size replica of the sports car that’ll make your jaws drop. The LEGO version is slightly wider than the original GR Supra, weights much more (4,156 pounds) – and is, for the most part, made entirely out of LEGO bricks which is incredible if you are a LEGO fan.

Surprisingly this pixelated version of the GR Supra can actually drive thanks to its electric drivetrain – of course not as fast as the real thing though. It maxes out at a speed of 17 mph, and that in itself is an achievement for the creative builders who spend almost 30,000 hours of development and 2,400 hours putting it together. A mind-boggling 477,303 LEGO bricks were used in the making of this Supra, and it even has working lights and a yellow paint job to awe-struck anyone who lays their eyes on this one.

The only bits that are not LEGO bricks in this 1:1 version are the wheels, driver seat, steering wheel, gauge cluster and the badging. All of these were salvaged out from the real GR Supra. The LEGO version even gets a mini toy driver wearing the Toyota race suit and a helmet to complete the look.

The lifesize LEGO GR Supra will be on display at LEGOLAND Japan until October 11, so if you are a fan of this Japanese sports car, seeing this LEGO car is a bucket list essential. I can’t help but appreciate the amount of detail being put into this LEGO creation, and to end up with a car that actually looks like a striking replica of the real one is a commendable achievement.

This sleek Ferrari Testarossa is a nostalgia-invoking reminder of the evolution of racing!

Ferrari Testarossa, more lovingly known as the 250 TR, marked the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer’s winning streak in the World SportsCar Championship races – be it the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 12 Hours of Sebring, the 1000 km Buenos Aires or the Pescara 4 Hours. This concept design by Alex Bowen – brings back the cherished memories of a time when Ferrari was the one brand that echoed around the competitive automotive industry. Alex calls his concept the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa – a perfect tribute to the well-engineered racing machine of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

This modern version of the iconic race car uses its sleek yet sinuous curves to add a refreshed feel to the old form, with a silver finish – the color popularised into the synonym for modern design by Apple. All 250 TRs had a 2-seater spider body because, at the time, this was considered the lightest and most aerodynamic configuration for a racing sports car. Everything right from the front grill, the side fenders, or the rear are a true reflection of the Ferrari brand in its true self!

In 2014, a collector paid €29 million for one Ferrari 250 TR, and it was the highest quote for a car until today. Alex’s version may appease the newer collectors, with the white strip giving a direct throwback to its racing days. The retaining of the tan leather interiors and the wheel is a testament to Alex’s good taste – maintaining the good and upgrading only the parts that need it. All in all, that is the sign of excellent design work, and it is sure to make this car to the top of your bucket list as well!
