1×1 Pixel Art Stickers: Manual Interpolation

There are lots of ways to mimic pixel art in the real world, such as cross-stitch, LEGO or just plain old paint. But if you’re interested in a convenient pixel art-style medium, check out 1×1. It’s a set of colored stickers that have been pre-cut to square blocks.

Each 1×1 box contains 36 different colors each made of 400 squares, except for black, of which you’ll get 800 squares. That gives you 14,800 squares in one box. To give you a better idea of just how many stickers you’re getting, all of the artworks in the image below were made from just one 1×1 box.

1×1 stickers can be used on a variety of materials, including wood, plastic, glass and metal. They are also water-resistant, easy to remove and leave no sticky residue behind.

Pledge at least $30 (USD) on Kickstarter to get a 1×1 box as a reward.

Doctor Who 11th Doctor Outlet Sticker: Wibbly-Wobbly Stickly-Wickly

Etsy seller ElectricStickerCo has all kinds of cool removable vinyl outlet stickers to spice up your electrical outlets, but this 11th Doctor version is simply the best.

Outlets are boring and plain. Why not bring them to life? Matt Smith looks like he just stumbled onto a batch of fish fingers and custard and is very happy about it. I never paid much attention to these outlet stickers, but I am now very tempted to buy this one.

They also offer this sticker of Van Gogh in their shop, who compliments the Doctor quite nicely. You would have to get both.

Switch Decals: So You’ll Know What You’re Turning On When You Flip That Switch

Switch Decals

Every time you switch something on and then switch it back off, you waste time and electricity. Of course, you’ve probably already memorized most of the switches in your home, but you’re bound to make a few mistakes once in a while. It’s usually guests who turn switches on and off to find the one that they’re looking for via trial and error.

You could label the switches, but then they might look unsightly. Or you could just stick these Switch Decals on to let people know which is which.

Each pack of 55 Switch Decals is priced at $18.

Sight for Sore Eyes: Beach Instant Window

Beach Instant Window

Did you wake up to one of those days again? Where everything that can go wrong goes wrong, and you’re stuck working at home when you should be out relaxing and unwinding with friends? Well, just take one look out of this window and fantasize for a minute–then finish whatever it is you have to do and plan a trip to the beach, stat!

Not that the window is real or anything, but you probably already knew that. Rather, it’s a wall sticker by Fathead that depicts an idyllic and tranquil scene that looks like it came straight from the Virgin Islands: white sand, clear water, palm trees. If you spend a lot of time holed up in an office cubicle or in your room, then here’s something you can stick on the wall to make every day a little bit brighter.

The Beach Instant Window sticker is available from the Fancy for $80.

Not on App Store Sticker: You’d Have to Look up from Your Gadget to See It Though

I’ve been on both sides of the gadget wall – those times when the people you’re with are silently staring at their mobile devices instead of talking to you or to each other. As with any other activity, it’s not that bad if it occurs only every now and then. But if you know someone who seems to have the wall up permanently, try giving them this sticker.

Made by Rafael Ochoa, Caio Andrade and Linn Wexells, Not on App is a parody of Apple’s App Store badge. The three made it to remind us “that the most important things in life are not on the app store.” Hearthstone‘s cutting it really close for me right now though.

You can download the sticker’s templates for free or buy a 5″ x 2″ sticker from Rafael et al for $1 (USD). Oculus should make a follow up sticker: Soon to Be Available on Virtual Reality.
