Watch As Mario Travels Through Tokyo

This video is sort of snapshot of a typical day for our Italian plumber friend Mario. On this day, he has to make his way through Tokyo, otherwise he will be late for a very important event.

This charming fan film was made by visual fx artist Dean Wright and it is pretty cool. Mario is always a delight to watch in action, but in this video Wright seems to capture his personality and spirit really well.

We join Mario as he is looking at some plumbing supplies and then his alarm goes off…

And so he has to make his way across Tokyo so that he is not late for the Super Smash Bros. tournament. Mamma mia!

There are several other new characters, including Pokémon’s Greninja, Punch-Out!’s Little Mac, and the Wii Fit Trainer among others.

Another interesting feature of the game is that players can import their Miis into the game in one of three roles. Player Miis can be brawlers, sword fighters, or gunners. Each player can also customize their character with 12 attacks and three kinds of equipment that offer bonuses. Characters also have 36 unique moves that can be used to take on the game’s most iconic fighters.

Super Smash Bros. will land on October 3 for 3DS game consoles and a couple of months later for the Wii U.

Microsoft's got the Xbox One, Sony's got the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo? Nintendo's got Megaman. In its pre-E3 broadcast, the console maker has announced that a new version of party favorite Super Smash Bros. will be arriving on the Wii U and 3DS at some point next year. The company has taken the chance to freshen up the smashing lineup, adding the Villager from Animal Crossing and adding Megaman from, er, Megaman to the roster.
