Racing Toy Cars on a Treadmill Looks Like More Fun Than NASCAR

Check out these toy cars racing their hearts out. This race looks pretty intense, but these cars aren’t even technically racing. They are on a treadmill, and the belt is moving, not the cars. Still, if you look at the footage in Diego Jesus Asim’s treadmill racing videos for a little while it almost looks like a real race with the ground moving by fast underneath them.

In order to keep them from flying off, he attached the cars to the front of the treadmill using clear tape. What’s cool is that there’s plenty of side-to-side action as they battle for position. This scene would look very real if they filmed it just right.

Treadmills? They are for so much more than exercising. Why shed pounds when you can have a kick-ass Hot Wheels or Matchbox car race? I’d rather be fat and happy than sweaty and exhausted anyhow. Am I right? Fine, I’ll go to the gym today.

If you watch the first race through until the end, you’ll be disappointed, because there’s no clear winner. I thought it would be the yellow car, but they are kind of all jumbled together at the end. I think there was a huge crash that got edited out, which sucks, because I would like to see that.

Planar Elliptical Runner Robot Can Run Faster Than You Can

As humans are getting fatter and lazier in general, robots are learning to run faster and faster. Does this concern anyone else? No? Just me? Stay in shape if you want to outrun the robots of the future, people.

Engineers at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition in Florida have developed the Planar Elliptical Runner. That’s right. Another robot that can run. This two-legged robot can run about 12 mph on a treadmill. This thing is creepy, especially when it runs while suspended in the air. If it can run, it can chase humans. You figure out the rest and tell me how this ends.

That’s it. I’m stopping the junk food tomorrow because at least a few of us have to survive the impending chase. National Geographic is going to look a whole lot different when we are the beasts being taken down like gazelles in the wild.

LEGO Treadmill Challenge: Fun Under Foot

Any parent of a LEGO fanatic will tell you there’s nothing worse than stepping barefoot on a pile, or even a single LEGO brick. The pain is excruciating. I’m pretty sure that Hell is nothing but a LEGO covered floor you have to walk on for all eternity. So the LEGO treadmill challenge? Yeah, that’s crazy talk.

Walking on LEGO is bad enough, but these guys from Where’s My Challenge are running on them. It’s nothing but self-torture. Therefore, obviously NSFW. There’s a lot of F-bombs and maybe some blood along the way.

Hats off to these brave men for undergoing this, the world’s worst form of torture. They are all champions. Hopefully they will all be able to walk again after this.
