ThinkGeek teams up with Capcom once again to throw Mega Man fans a bone in the form of an officially licensed hoodie. The hood has helmet details sewn on, while the left arm sleeve has the Mega Blaster’s lights printed on it. The hoodie’s zipper is an E-tank and the hood’s lining is printed with 8-bit Mega Man drawings.
I think Punk Drunkers’ take on this is a lot cooler, but this one is more affordable. Pre-order it from ThinkGeek for $60 (USD).

Super Mario Maker is famous for its players’ punishing – and sometimes unbeatable – levels, but it’s also become a way for fans to pay homage to non-Mario games. Here’s one such example, an approximation of the first Mega Man game by YouTuber KHace.
Because of Super Mario Maker‘s limitations – block count, lack of actual Robot Masters – KHace couldn’t perfectly recreate the legendary action platformer. But he did a mighty fine job! The music helps sell the remake – it was performed by RushJet1 – but even if you mute KHace’s playthrough below you’ll still recognize the stages. In case you’re wondering how KHace replaced Mario with Mega Man, it’s because Super Mario Maker lets you swap Mario with other Amiibo characters.
KHace added his levels’ IDs on the video’s description. Capcom Man, let Nintendo Man assimilate you so fans can make their dream game themselves with a Mega Man Maker.

Thanks to Capcom you won’t have to sneak into Storm Eagle’s stage to upgrade your headgear. Its upcoming life-size Mega Man helmet is made of ABS plastic, has light up parts and has a “unique clamshell hinge” that lets the front and back halves split open to make the helmet easier to wear.
The helmet will be available for a limited time from Capcom’s online store. Keep an eye on the official Capcom blog for updates. First we got Mega Man’s arm, and now his helmet. It’s like Capcom kidnapped the Blue Bomber and is still waiting for the ransom.

Console modder Ryan Fitzpatrick aka Platinum Fungi shares one of his latest creations. It’s a backlit Mega Man NES with a rusted and battle damaged look.
For this project Ryan teamed up with airbrush artist Noel McEwen and illustrator Gary Bedell, who made the kickass battle scene featuring Mega Man and Roll against several Robot Masters.

For some reason Capcom still doesn’t seem to know what to do with Mega Man, except release cool merch based on the series’ past hits, like these hand towels. One has an awesome pattern featuring Rock’s 8-bit form in various poses – please make a t-shirt version of this! – while the other one features a huge E Tank graphic.
Can you imagine if Nintendo did this to one of its popular…oh. Never mind. You can pre-order the towels from NCSX or Otaku Republic for ~$13 (USD).
Mega Man X and Mega Man X2 are both pretty challenging, which is why most sane gamers just play them one at a time. Aura Puffs, on the other hand, likes to multitask. And by multitask, I mean play both games at the same time, with just one controller.
Not only that, but this gamer has beat them both while doing so. Oh and they also made sure that they collected all the X upgrades in each level without a tool assist. It took almost three hours to do, but it was done. Check out the dual-play round side-by-side below:
This gamer belongs in the video game hall of fame for this feat. Makes you wonder what other games they could play at the same time.
Bad Box Art Mega Man is the opposite of Doom Guy. The joke character came from the infamously ugly North American box art of the first Mega Man game. To be more specific, he’s the middle aged version of the dude in that horrendous drawing. ModxToy member momoji brings home the bacon with this custom action figure of Bad Box Art Mega Man.
