In all the desk designs I’ve seen over the years, this is a first for me! It’s called ‘Ascend’ and it’s been created by Dan Devine for all the cat ladies and fellas out there. Like any cat person will tell you, the moment you give attention to anything but your furry friend, they’ll find a way to lounge on your keyboard or knock over your utensils until it’s back on them! Designed with this in mind, the wood desk has been crafted with multiple ramps and landings for cats to perch up and play. If you can’t fight ’em, invite ’em!

Something about pets in general and baths simply does not mesh. Daniel Lentz and Tom Zipprian grew up having similar struggles with their pets, and hence their creation the ‘Aquapaw Slow Treater’. The ingenious product is a slow feeder for treats, which aims to persuade your puppy/adult dog to get into the shower or bathtub, and most importantly to make sure they stay there. So how does the Slow Treater work? Simply lather the feeder with your pet’s favorite treat. Peanut butter, pate, meat mince, their preferred canned dog food, and smeared cream or cottage cheese are a few examples of the food you could coat the feeder with. Once their treat is in place, stick the feeder onto any smooth surface and let it do its magic! Your pet will be instantly attracted to the curious little item filled with a yummy snack, let him enjoy it, while you sneakily give him a bath!

The Playground is a doghouse that also alternates as a modular sofa! The various modules of the sofa can be arranged creating not only different sofa designs but also fun spaces wherein your doggo can hop, bounce, and play about! The wooden doghouse on one side of the furniture piece seems super comfy and adorable! A little hole on its roof, allows your dog to pop his head out of the doghouse, and connect/interact with you while you lounge about on the sofa. It’s the perfect way to spend quality time!

TOMO gives pet gear the upgrade it’s always needed, with minimalist aesthetics and beautifully engineered designs backed by high-quality materials. Putting basic plaid collars and harnesses with those fiddly carabiner clips in the rear-view mirror, TOMO’s pet gear comes in beautiful matte black, from the leash to collar to harness, and features a unique, robust metal clasp that’s minimal, durable, and easy to secure in a matter of seconds. All the products look like they’re a part of a wonderful ecosystem (unlike current pet gear where the leash, collar, and dog-tag look different because they were all bought separately. The entire ecosystem of products draws a balance between functionality, comfort, and aesthetics, giving pet-gear a modern upgrade and making them complement each other when worn together, like a well-designed suit.

Say hello to DogTag – a pet-collar tag designed by the fine folks at Studio Proper that houses an Apple AirTag within it. Designed to work with dogs as well as cats, the DogTag lets you easily keep track of your furry little friend when they’re scampering about outdoors or even playing hide-and-seek with you inside the house. Relying on Apple’s powerful ‘Find My’ network, the DogTag lets you be able to keep track of your pet no matter where they are. You can create no-go zones for them, knowing if and when they scale your fence and jump right into your neighbor’s prized flower-bed… and if they decide to play hooky right before bathing time, you can easily ‘ping’ the AirTag inside the collar to give up your furry little monster’s location, or use the Find Nearby feature to help guide you to them!

The Ebo Catpal is a robot companion that serves as both a cat sitter and a favorite toy. It’s essentially a mobile security camera that can follow your pet through the house like a Roomba. Similar to a Roomba, the device has sensors to detect obstacles in the vicinity. It also will automatically return to its charging station when low on battery. The camera’s feed is accessible through a mobile app, similar to many home security systems. It also serves a second purpose … let’s be honest, what owner can resist snapping close-ups of their pet’s hijinks? For this reason, the Ebo’s camera records high-resolution footage, which you can save, edit, and post to social media. You can add cute stickers to an image, or even create gifs.

Cat Is Art has a simple frame, featuring a rectangular box with a right-hand, round window. The wooden box is mounted onto steel beams that wrap around it to acquire a height similar to that of a mid-rise storage cabinet. Designed for both the cat and cat owner, Cat Is Art’s elemental structure reimagines the ways cat furniture fits into modern homes. The top of the playpen features a storage area with an upright lip that protects any objects from falling down as your cat gets bored and looks for things to knock over. Similarly, smaller cat toys can be stored on Cat Is Art’s top lid so that your cat can play inside the pen and on top of it. Only accessible by your cat, the round porthole on Cat Is Art’s right-hand side is petite and offers an easy escape route for when your cat needs some alone time.

The PetX smart pet water dispenser designed by Beijing Kitten&Puppy Technology Co. was one of the iF Design Awards 2020 winners and rightfully so – they used the simplest animal behavioral psychology pattern and applied it to a product that worked for pets. Instead of a regular water bowl, this smart water dispenser provides clean running water for pets anytime. Flowing water is better for your pet’s health as still water has a higher chance of becoming contaminated and leading to things like urinary tract infections. Your pets are likely to drink more water due to the innovative and inviting mechanism.

Mira-Pet introduced its Ultrasound Dog Toothbrush. Equipped with a vibration-free, silent ultrasound technology, the toothbrush guarantees to clean even deeper than the gums, and to annihilate bad breath! Its vibration-free tech ensures that your doggo doesn’t feel a thing. The entire process is very swift and gentle. Mira-Pet’s one-of-a-kind form and functionality prevent tartar build-up, eliminating periodontitis in the long run. You simply lather the toothbrush with its accompanying toothpaste and run it along your dog’s upper and lower jaw. Within 45-60 seconds, the duo destroys any signs of bacteria, protecting your pet from any serious dental and health issues in the future.

An aesthetic hammock in a tent for your pet! Designed by Philipp Günther Design, this is one of the cutest pet loungers we’ve seen – minimal, cozy and interactive. The organic form is complemented by a soft CMF. The wood and felt combination have a universal appeal that fits with every interior style/setting. The modern pet house and swing are designed for small dogs and cats. The tiny gates encourage more flexibility and movement for the pets. It’s a cozy corner that can be playful as well as a safe space. The felt surface is optional and adds a soft and pleasant touch, especially for cats sharpening their claws or teething puppies. We can’t help but wish this came in adult size for humans too.

Most people avoid using pet houses in their homes because it takes up too much space and they can’t tuck it away like they can with the pet beds. But Accordio is here to solve that dilemma, it is a portable, flexible, accordion-like pet house that can be expanded for your pet’s use or flat-packed away if you have guests over! Accordio’s form drew inspiration from the designer’s niece who had a silicone bowl plate. “I was intrigued by its flexibility and portability. After some research, I found that silicone also has a fascinating collapsible feature, which was later adapted into a foldable house,” explains Seong. The unique pet house is a study in portable pet furniture. The silicone makes it super lightweight and gives it a distinct collapsible feature. Silicone not only makes it easy to carry along for outdoor activities or travel but is also very easy to clean. Accordio can be compressed into 1/6th of its full size by pushing both sides.

Cozy cat-friendly products to help your cat and you connect better!

Anyone who has cats will agree that it’s a cat world, and we’re just living in it! They are the true masters of our home, and we are their abiding slaves, tending to their every need, always at their beck and call. They’re the apple of our eyes, and we would do almost anything to keep them happy and comfy, including showering them with fun little products, that they can play around with and keep themselves busy. From mini furniture to fashionable hats – we’ve curated a collection of product designs that will cater purrfectly to your cat’s every need. Happy kitties guaranteed!

Okawa City produced a campaign revealing mini furniture for cats! Named, ‘Craftsman MADE’, it includes genuine pieces of furniture which have been scaled down. The result is cute cat-sized furniture pieces including a little bed and a sofa for your feline friends. In fact, these images showcase cats having a very gala time indeed on these furniture designs!

We all like a comfortable camping experience once in a while, or to be more millennial, a comfortable glamping experience once in a while! But what about our feline friends? Wouldn’t they like a warm tent to cozy up into? I mean maybe they haven’t ever thought of it…but I’m sure they would enjoy it! Well, the Cat Camp is here! And it’s a mini indoor tent, especially for our cats. It’s quite similar to the mini display tents seen in outdoor shops, and it’s exactly like the larger tents for humans except its tiny…and cuter! 21.5 x 21.5 x 14 inches in size, the Cat Camp is spacious enough to accommodate almost all breeds of cats. A side-zip makes it extremely easy to enter, and it pitches just like a normal tent.

The KittySpring provides continuous fresh water for your cat, unlike regular water bowls that sit for long, allowing the water to go stale. Made from materials that are 100% food safe and easy to clean, the KittySpring uses a refillable bottle that supplies water to a transparent bowl (with a pebble-shaped cover). The water passes through a stainless steel filter to ensure purity, giving your cats fresh drinking water whenever they need it. As the bowl empties, it automatically gets replenished by the reservoir using a unique gravitational system that’s completely noise-free since it doesn’t run on an electrical motor. The bottle and bowl are easy to clean too and can be rinsed with soap water or even placed in a dishwasher for thorough cleaning. The stainless steel filter, on the other hand, lasts for years without needing replacement.

Wondering what these cats are wearing on their heads? They’re called Nukege Hats! The hats are made from the feline’s own fur. Old sheds are transformed into cute little hats for the cats! As adorable as these hats look, and fashionable too, I wonder if the cats actually like wearing them or no?

The Circle Zero from PLUTO is a smart litter box that takes care of your cat’s business. Designed to be fully automated, fully enclosed, and exceptionally silent, the litter box comes with a completely enclosed design to provide a private experience. Sensors on the box detect the presence of the cat and wait for a full 7 minutes after they’re done to automatically (and silently) scoop the waste from the litter and store it separately while completely containing and eliminating any odor too. Once the waste compartment is full, you can use any bag or liner to collect it and throw it away. The Circle Zero works with any brand of kitty litter and comes with two types of scoop designs. Sensors within the box (although it’s technically a sphere) keep track of your cat’s routines and can notify you via an app if any irregularities are spotted.

Designed to constantly pique a cat’s curiosity, the Cheerble is a board-and-ball combination that is to cats what pinball is to humans. It features a hyperactive vibrating ball that darts around a board, while your cat constantly follows it as a predator follows its prey. At the heart of the Cheerble board game is its ball, a durable ping-pong ball-shaped device with a synthetic fiber coating that almost looks like an abstract mouse. The ball, with built-in motors and lights, can be set to one of three active settings, causing it to dart around chaotically, grabbing a cat’s attention in the process. Paired along with the ball is the Cheerble board, which comes in two variants, both with corrugated cardboard bases – the same material used to make cat-scratching posts.

The external shape of Cat Person’s shipping boxes was maintained by taking advantage of all the interior space. Granneberg designed three shipping containers for Cat Person, each forming different structures. The first, which contains initial orders for Cat Person customers, is the trial shipper and that transforms into the Paw Puzzler, a custom mailer box with a perforated corrugate tray that transforms into a shorter box dotted with holes large enough for a toy ball and your cat’s paw. The second shipping container is fitted to ship Cat Person’s most frequently bought store items, reshapes into the Cat Chalet, similar to a cardboard castle formation, with elongated dust flaps that nest together to become a peaked roof. The last shipping container is sized for the larger orders and converts into a Cat Condo much like the Cat Chalet, except the Condo’s elongated dust flaps are used to bend and separate the box into two rooms for cats to crawl between.

Sunghoon Park’s ‘Carrio’ is quite versatile and modular as well! At first glance, it may look like an ordinary pet carrier, but once you dwell deeper, it has a bit of a surprise in store for you. At home, Carrio can be used as a bed or a quaint resting spot for your pet, a personal area for your pet to laze around in after a long day of play. When it comes to functioning as a carrier, it provides two modules, owing to two types of straps that can be customized. It can be used as a carrier backpack, slip it onto your shoulders effortlessly and take your pet alongside you wherever you please. Put on the second pair of straps, and it can be used as a travel carrier bag! You can hold it horizontally like a duffle bag, apt for your larger furry friends.

PaiPai Pets’ double basin cat kennel is a cat tower and console storage cabinet in one. Looking at the kennel head-on, two wide doors border a narrower middle door, which opens up to the kennel’s storage unit and jungle-gym interior. On the left and right sides of the kennel, there’s enough space to fit two large litter boxes, which are always accessible through the middle door’s open porthole. Behind the kennel’s center cabinet, storage shelves can be found where cat owners can stow away smaller items like cans of wet cat food and litter scoopers. Painted in bright white, with natural wood accents along the perimeter, the kennel can remain discreet even in busier home spaces like the living room or den.

The Cat Person Mesa Bowl No-Tip Food Dish has been designed exclusively for cats! Usually, when cats eat, they hunch over, and honestly, their crouched position doesn’t look very comfortable. Hence Cat Person created an ergonomically designed bowl that features an elevated stand, so your cat can eat in a healthier position! With its six-inch diameter, the bowl also accommodates your kitty’s long whiskers.

My pets are the center of my universe, and the majority of my day is spent tending to them and pleasing them! Although more than a dog house, it is intended to be used as a playhouse and is meant to be kept indoors. The wheels on the camper make it portable, allowing you to move it indoors or outdoors whenever you please.

Outdoor pet equipment company TailHigh has revealed the ‘Hybrid Dog Harness’ combining a harness with a leash in one single contraption that saves the trouble of carrying an additional leash and attaching or detaching it to the harness. This innovative dog accessory, with a lightweight and retractable tape-type leash extendable up to 5 feet, is designed by BKID. Interestingly, it is made from breathable, soft EVA foam combined with mesh fabric for a comfortable fit. The harness is equipped with a seat belt like two-way-lock safety stop technology, which if the dog pulls the string during an unexpected action, can automatically stop the line even if the owner misses the handle, letting the dog escapes unhurt.

It is a quick and efficient way to dry your pet after bath time. The appliance has a cylindrical design which lets the air from the twin fans flow effectively and evenly.

If you own two kitties, then this Cat Bunk Bed by Purrfur is perfect for you! This design has honestly gotten me quite excited, because I have two fluffy Persian cats, and just thinking of them sharing a bunk bed is giving me the tingles! Although the upper bunk looks comfier and definitely has more privacy in comparison to the second bunk (which looks like a simple hammock to me), I do feel it’s an adorable design that’ll provide your pets with a communal space they can share together, but also allow them to have their own little private zone.

As emotional support/companion animals are increasingly becoming a new norm, we need a kit like Base which ensures their safety while doubling up as an everyday pet furniture item in the house. In the event of a disaster, you can rely on the built-in emergency kit by using Base as a carrier for your pet. The shape is inspired by a friendly cave that makes animals feel protected keeping it aligned with their natural instincts of hiding when they are scared.

This minimal and modular cat tree perfectly meets the needs of your pet, your home and you!

I own two fluffy and cozy Persian cats, and honestly, they’re the masters of my home. I’m their personal slave and butler, granter of their wishes, and 24/7 on-duty caretaker! But I love every bit of it and wouldn’t exchange my little furballs for anything in the world. And, hence I’m always on a quest to pamper them with little tidbits and gain their approval. Cats are intelligent and sensible creatures, hence ordinary little toys don’t do much for them, they need a higher level of stimulation and entertainment. Cat trees are a very commonplace and sought-after option, your cats can lounge about, play in, scamper around and channel their energy productively in these tree-like mazes. However, cat trees can occupy a substantial amount of space in your home, often clashing with your well-planned interiors and looking like an extreme eyesore! The Bien Bien Cat Tree deals with both of these problems smoothly, owing to its elegant form and visually pleasing aesthetics.

Winner of the Golden Pin Design Award, the Bien Bien Cat Tree by Cheng-Liang Wu and Chia-Wen Lin is a cat tree that also masterfully doubles up as a piece of furniture. There are several shelving options for you to store your precious belongings in, as well as little nooks and crannies for your pet to sleep and play around in. Multiple accessories can be attached as means of recreation for your cat, and my favorite one, hands down, is the tiny hammock! Imagine that, a snug hammock for your furry friend to lay in as if on vacation. Your cat can easily climb from one level to another, and the grid-like section also provides them with a sense of privacy. It creates a safe space where they can enjoy their own company without feeling completely isolated from their surroundings. The lower level is also a nifty and accessible spot to place their food and water bowls in!

The Bien Bien Cat Tree’s clean and straightforward structure, elegant usage of wood, and minimal aesthetics allow it to integrate and merge with the interiors of your home perfectly. It stands as a wholesome piece of furniture that harmoniously becomes a part of your home, a design that not only you can enjoy, but so can your cat!

Simple and elegant, the Leaf transforms any plastic bottle you may have lying around into a doggy drinking apparatus. Perfect for those dog walks, the Leaf retrofits onto any regular PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) bottle with the standard 28mm diameter threaded neck. Made out of food-grade silicone, the leaf wraps around the bottle, and when flipped over (dog-eared, if you will), becomes a bowl for your dog to drink water from. The cupped leaf along with the reinforcing silicone veins give the dog a vessel to drink out of. Once done, the leaf can be folded back to wrap around the bottle. The leaf can also aid in easy bottle filling by acting as a funnel!

Industrial designer Jong Hoon Yoon from Seoul, Korea pondered over the unique idea of thinking from a pet’s perspective and designing an intuitive TV stand. Christened “With”, the space-saving TV unit doubles as a cozy spot for your cat to never let go of. All this while being considerate of the kind human too. Yes, With considers the positioning of the cat and the fellow human, so that they both are in their comfort zone and don’t bother each other. For us, the TV is a mere source of entertainment as well as lousy around on our couch binge-watching streaming content. On the other hand, the heat produced from the TV and the accompanying electronics is an opportunity for your pet to curl up and enjoy in their own space.

Designed by Jihyun Han, Gosewalk consists of two toy pieces, a multi-surfaced mat that resembles the different terrain found outdoors, and a silicone puzzle that stows away dog treats for your pup to sniff and find. The multi-surfaced mat brings the outdoors to your dog with different fabrics resembling different terrains. Twisted and shaggy polyester mimics the look and feel of grass, while tan corduroy and water-repellant canvas bring the colors of sand and soil to your dog’s snout. Pockets and flaps line the mat’s fabrics and provide perfect hiding places for treats and mixtures of herbs and scents to entertain your pup. The silicone puzzle, which seems to be a smaller, more portable companion piece to the bulkier mat, resembles the look of grass through its tender, spring green silicone nubs that grid the toy. Hidden compartments are carved into the silicone puzzle where dog owners can store treats for their pups to sniff out and munch on. Then, in the middle of the puzzle, a darker green, ruffled and leafy centerpiece camouflages yet another hidden storage compartment that can be used to stow away packets of herbal mixtures for dogs to sniff on while hunting for treats.

Do you wish you could track your dog’s location in case of emergencies but don’t want to embed a tracker in his or her body? The Link smart collar offers an alternative, more pet-friendly solution with its removable GPS. However, the Link is for more than emergencies – it includes features that improve your pet’s health and quality of life every day. So, what does the Link do? The collar itself holds the GPS tracker and a LED light for visibility during night walks. Additionally, with the Link companion app, the product can log your dog’s physical fitness, vet records, and other stats related to his or her health. Basically, it’s a FitBit for your pet – keeping them happy, healthy, and safe.

Pet Paws is a high-tech sanitizing mat used to clean, disinfect, and dry the legs of our pets as well as the soles of our shoes. The efficient product design is a simple roll-up mat that is easy to carry and store. The team worked on elevating an existing prototype by adding improved functionality and simplifying it further – the redesigned version is now just a one-piece product, unlike the original one which had four parts. It has two areas on its surface – the first section of the mat has a multi-directional cleaning texture which bends and cleans inside the paws in a friendly manner, and the second section of the mat has a cushioned texture which helps to dry the paws as the pet walks over the microfiber sleeve.

Passakorn Kulkliang designed PAWSPAL in order to help better facilitate the typically difficult task of traveling with animal companions. The product has three main functions: a fully-integrated, chargeable air ventilation system, a bottom deck used to roll the carrying cases, and the individual crate’s inbuilt stackability. If the user were to choose to roll their pets through the airport, just like the common rolling suitcase, then the case or cases can be placed atop the removable base for easy maneuvering throughout any space or building. In addition to the stackable feature and the wheeled base, users can opt-out to carry the case as it is. Lastly, inside the crate, you won’t have to worry about your pet overheating because each case comes equipped with an operating air ventilation system that keeps your animal cool at all times. Each crate from PAWSPAL includes a charging hole for USB C cables so that keeping your pet cool is a given. Your pup or kitten can also enjoy plenty of air circulation and privacy thanks to the air slots that are large enough to maintain healthy airflow, but slim enough to keep prying eyes away from bothering your pet.

Hyun Jin Oh designed CoZY, an adjustable, two-tiered couch that meets both pets and their humans right where they are. When it comes to pet furniture, during the construction phases, functionality sometimes outweighs style, but Hyun Jin Oh found a sweet compromise with CoZY. The sofa’s stripped-down frame is made from stainless steel, evoking an industrial-chic personality, and utilizes the tension of four bold, bright red straps of leather that wrap around the steel bars of CoZY’s armrest and base, two along the rear and one on both sides of CoZY. Hyun Jin Oh’s sofa was designed specifically to create a space that’s accessible for older and smaller dogs to take a breather. Since we typically rest on sofas, dogs naturally follow suit, but sometimes the sofa requires too high of a leap for a smaller or older dog to manage all on its own. In order to encourage dogs to join their human on the couch, Hyun Jin Oh’s CoZY design utilizes a pull-out wooden board that slides easily along the sofa’s X-axis.

Pet-friendly IKEA-worthy furniture designs that perfectly balance the needs of your pet, your home and you!

I have two fluffy and squishy Persian cats and I absolutely adore them! Having them at home is a delight, a fact I’m sure all pet owners can attest to. Another fact that all pet owners can attest to as well – sometimes, just sometimes, our pets can be a little annoying (No, we’re not horrible people for saying this). They’re like children, they have their mood swings, demands, tantrums, and an intense need for attention. They also love leaving our homes in a mess, with no consideration for our belongings. And the few pet products that I do add in my home to keep them entertained and comfortable, often turn out to be complete eyesores, having no respect at all for my interior decor and theme. The secret is to integrate furniture designs in our homes that our pets can rest on, relax, and keep themselves busy with, but also designs that manage to harmoniously merge with our interiors, seamlessly becoming a part of our living space and also providing us with some functionality. We can cast aside the bulky pet products that stand out in our homes awkwardly without even really catering to the needs of our pets. This collection of interesting, multifunctional and not to mention fun furniture designs will keep both you and your pet satisfied!

Designed by Ben Hansen, this simple yet innovative dog house uses excess water from watering plants and filters it into the dog’s water bowl! Rattan with green accents gives it a light, airy feel. The minimal dog house will brighten any corner of your home – hard not to when it holds a cute plant and pet! It’s an adorable piece of furniture that not only serves as a home for your pet but also doubles up as an elegant plant holder, harmoniously merging with the interiors of your home.

The idea behind the Gatrimonial bed frame by CatLife is that it should be a comforting space for the pet and owner. The cat gets a secure, comfortable den, and does not feel as if you are invading his/her space. The furniture also provides plenty of stimuli to keep him/her entertained. I can already hear my roommate’s pet darting through his maze while I lie on the bed above him. Perhaps this cat-friendly furniture will encourage some casual bonding time between the two of us.

Seungji created the Dog House Sofa “to enhance the harmony between humans and their pets”.  Created out of solid wood ash and fabric upholstery, the sofa can seat two people. The entire piece is draped in neutral shades of beige and mocha, so no jarring colors to alarm your pet!  The wooden armrest also doubles as a cozy hideaway for your pets. It’s a private section where they can laze around, with an opening in the armrest, allowing them to sneakily cuddle up to you! Such a design enables the two of you to interact but also provides sufficient personal space, without your pet destroying your beloved upholstery (for a change).

People in small living spaces use low furniture (such as rugs, floor chairs) to build intimate relaxing areas while cats prefer covert spaces, but due to the limited space, there are not many places to hide or play. CatYou in a Circle by Jack Dogson (ironic huh!)didn’t want to separate the pets from their owners so it is designed to cleverly bring them together while also maintaining boundaries. The hollow armrests and backrest offer cats a playground and hiding territory while the coffee table provides a place to sleep. The woven bamboo texture makes it possible for owners to see their cats even when they are hiding and play with through its holes. The size of holes is different in different parts of the furniture to adapt to the needs of the pet as well as humans. The backrest holes are smaller to make the cats feel more secure. But holes above are bigger so that when people lean on the sofa, they can see through the backrest and find their cats underneath.

Named after the acorn nut and clearly inspired by its curvaceous form, the Acorn Leisure chair boasts of a similar voluminous design, with a seat above for you to rest on, and an area below that’s ideally sized for a pet, or a makeshift magazine-rack. The chair’s unique design is instantly eye-catching, with the lack of traditional details like legs, or a backrest that’s attached directly to the seat. Instead, the chair builds itself out of a wooden platform on the base, with a wrought-iron enclosure above it, topped off with a seat. The backrest, instead of emerging from the seat itself, mounts directly onto the base platform, making for an incredibly unique chair that your eye naturally gravitates towards! The wooden parts of the chair are CNC-machined to perfection, and the wrought-iron pipes on the base give the chair its sturdiness while allowing your pets to see your legs as they sit inside their safe-space, providing a unique connection between both occupants! Alternatively, you could use the space under the seat to store books, toys, and pouf pillows too!

The latest piece to catch our eye has been the Kyali cat climber by MADE for its almost human furniture-like design because usually, a cat climber would stick out but this one just blends in like a cozy stool! The climber has a warm inviting vibe because of the woody tones and the soft fabric cushioning that will instantly draw your cats in for a nap. It is a blend of a bed and a dynamic game for your pets. Featuring three shelves or levels, Kyali’s goal was to provide plenty of fun for your feline friends without taking up too much room. It has a modular structure that lets you adjust the shape to create more space for cats to explore or to make it more compact to store.

Grid functions as a comfy resting spot for your pet. With a cozy lounging spot at the bottom and a slanted roof on top, it manages to provide a very homely feel, a safe haven of sorts for your furry friend. The gridded structure at the entrance allows your pet to slither in and out, allowing them to have their own little adventure! On the other hand, the roof also functions as a magazine stand. You can place your magazines on the roof, where they will be supported by an almost inconspicuous shelf.

This particular piece of cat furniture is extremely easy to set-up and seamlessly integrates with your current home setting minus the bulkiness of a conventional cat tree. In 2020, it is all about how modular the product is, and that applies to pet furniture too. With Catssup you can create a DIY jungle gym by simply clamping the different parts onto existing furniture and changing the set-up whenever ‘you’ (read: your cat) need. The best part is that it doesn’t require any floor space so if you want to lie down and WFH – you absolutely can with the extra room! The Catssup set includes a Dot Step, a Sleeping Pill, a Space Ball, a Cloud Lounge, and a Climbing Tower – I would just like to say that I strongly believe human furniture should also have fun labels like this and maybe we would be more invested in it.

Pet home designs to make your pet feel safe and loved, while perfectly matching your interiors!

If you own a pet, then you know that they are as much a part of our home as we are, or even more! Our pets are like our family, a wholesome part of our lives, and they can simply never be replaced. However, as much as we love being around our pets, and they love being around us, they do deserve some personal space of their own! Pet homes and houses are special little spots for them to cozy up in, and have their own alone time. When they’ve had enough of us, they can simply go snuggle in their tiny home, and relax. This collection of cute, warm and homely pet houses will instantly make you want to get one for your furry friend. Each pet home design is unique, functional and caters to the different needs of different pets. I’ve already got an eye on one design for my cats!

The Weelywally collection comprises of three cottage-like structures perfectly sized for your pets! Sydney, Volendam, and Wien host a slanted roof with a triangular metallic structure. The mini houses resemble the home icon on our desktops. Combining cloth, metal, and wood, the mini houses are a fresh change from the boring old pet homes. Sydney boasts a complete aluminum body with a slanted wooden entrance, maintaining a stark and sleek aura. Using wooden rods and slatted structure, each of these pet homes can be easily dismantled for flat storage. The last mini house Wien features a completely natural wooden structure with a cotton rooftop flourished with prints! With different print options in a variety of colors,  you can add a pop of fun to your pet’s trusted retreat.

You can tell the team at Rah:Design truly loves dogs because they designed a dog home so beautiful that we would ask if it came in human size. The inspiration for this model came from the fact that there was nothing in the market that was sleek or modern enough to go with the interiors of today’s houses and that is how the MDK9 Dog Haus came to be – no more hiding the kennel in your backyard! This dog house is your pet’s dream house, it’s crafted with Brazilian teak wood responsible for the classy look which rests on a powder-coated steel frame so it’s sturdy. To make it long-lasting, the base of the dog house is made from concrete which also adds to the existing strong structure. The MKD9 Dog Haus gives interiors the same importance it gave to the exteriors, it comes with a custom bed by Jax & Bones which is made of an ultra-luxe memory foam pillow because your best friend deserves nothing less – he can choose the color too!

The Cat Flat has been carefully designed based on the advice of Sweden’s first cat psychologist, Susanne Hellman Holmström, who brought to light the 10 necessities apart from basic essentials that cats need for the best emotional and physical health. The needs range from scratching, cleaning fur, playing, discovering, being social, etc. and Cat Flat takes care of them all keeping in mind they spend most of their time indoors. Think of it as a hybrid of a home and a jungle gym for your cat. Based on the cat psychologist’s advice, Hellman Holmström collaborated with interior designer Eleonor Moschevitz created the details, aesthetics, and functionality of the Cat Flat. It looks like an organic wooden storage cabinet crafted from walnut veneer with dross having vertical slats at different angles to give it a lift. It has three levels for your cats inside complete with stimulating elements and toys.

Literally titled the Fetch House, this doggy-kennel is made from a 3D-printed skeleton that holds a thousand tennis balls to make what I can only describe as canine paradise. I mean look at how pleased the dog looks in the picture above! The Fetch House was designed by CallisonRKTL as an entry into the Bark + Build Pet House Design & Build Competition held in Dallas, Texas. The house (designed to shelter one incredibly happy canine) comes with a modular internal structure that allows you to compression-fit as many as a 1000 tennis-balls into it. The balls can randomly be pulled out of their individual enclosures for the purpose of playing fetch (hence the name), and can easily be press-fitted back in when done. Conversely, owners can add fewer balls to form patterns in the facade or create windows for light and ventilation.

Casano has a light and airy feel that extends to the room it is placed in, especially if you have a smaller apartment then it is a well-designed alternative to the traditional bulky dog house. It gives your pet a natural territorial separation while blending in seamlessly with your interior settings. It is created with a simple black iron frame that adds minimal elegance to your existing decor. The choice of using an iron frame for the build was so that the upkeep and care can be minimal. The floorboard is made of 15 mm thick laminated maple lumber – you can add a cushion to match the color scheme and for a little extra comfort. The geometric visuals of the Casano make it stand out from the rest of the pet houses in the market.

Space is shared between the cat and the owner and this pet product works in the favor of that symbiotic relationship – all the cat’s needs are met and the owner’s interior space/style remains undisturbed. The designer has imagined everything your pet needs to live their best life possible and included it in the details of this modular cat house. Every traditional shape and element has been reimagined to add a fresh perspective. The scratching board, for example, has been created to evoke an emotional response from the cat and make it a pleasant experience not bound by the stereotypical forms but still meeting the behavioral need to dig/scratch. Play around with the shape and structure, create something that works for you and your pet and if your pet gets bored easily, just switch up the arrangement and voila, a whole new apartment!

To please our feline friends and their owners, product designer Yoh Komiyama collaborated with Tokyo-based Rinn to create the NEKO Cat Tree, and to be honest, it’s pretty modern and fancy! The column-like structure features a marble base, with the marble being sourced from Greece. The cool marble helps your cat regulate and monitor its body temperature. Wood sourced from the forests in the Hida region of Japan was used to craft the series of dowels that make up the majority of the column. The wooden dowels provide your cat with its own personal area, however the even spaces in between allow it to catch glimpses of its surrounding and you, so it always feels connected!

The pet house is designed with comfortable fabric and features a lined pattern on the resting pad. It also has a very modern-looking shade inspired by strollers. Zipup has a very simple yet efficient concept to solve this pet-hair-everywhere problem, one zip motion will swipe the hair off the resting pad your pet sits on. Truly, it is that easy and the most amount of hair will be in the pet house so once you get that, 80% of your job is done. The zipper has a round easy grip and you slide it across the line for the hair to collect at the bottom which lets you empty it more conveniently than running around the house with a vacuum (let’s be honest, a broom is no match for a non-hypoallergenic pet). Don’t you just want to get it in all three colors right hair, right now?

The Catzz kitty-bed is inspired directly by its feline occupant. Designed to be flat-packed, the Catzz is an icosahedral shelter for cats that comes with multiple triangular panels that come together to form the enclosed shelter. The clever bit, however, is the fact that the Catzz bed actually looks like a minimalist cat head, complete with two pointy ears! Made from individual felt panels, the flat-packed bed can easily be assembled in minutes. When put together, it forms the perfect haven for your kitten, being a combination of robust and sturdy yet fuzzy and comfortable. The Catzz bed even comes with a dangling toy that you can suspend from the bed’s ear (for the cat to periodically play with), and when the bed does get dirty, it can easily be disassembled and machine-washed.

Dog-friendly, fun yet functional products you and your pet will love having at home!

Though I am a cat person through and through, I cannot help but go gaga over doggos from time to time. They are just so adorable, and not to mention insanely loving (a quality most cat owners aren’t used to witnessing in their pets). And as much as I love pampering my kittie cats with presents from time to time, I’m sure all dog owners feel the same. These products designed especially for your canines will be the perfect little present for them, because honestly, they deserve presents as much as anybody else, or even more! From comfy dog houses, an intimate sharing sofa, to even some cute winter apparel, we’ve got you covered!

Designed by Ekaterina Shchetina & Libero Rutilo, The Leaf can transform any plastic bottle into a doggy drinking apparatus. The Leaf comfortably wraps around the bottle, and when turned over, transforms into a water bowl for your dog to sip water from! Perfect for those dog walks, the Leaf retrofits onto any regular PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) bottle with the standard 28mm diameter threaded neck.

The Dog House Sofa by Seungji Mun is one of my favorite pieces. The sofa enables your doggo and you to lounge about together, while also retaining your respective personal space. The wooden armrest doubles up as a cozy hideaway for your dog. It’s a private section where he can laze around, with an opening in the armrest, allowing him to sneakily cuddle up to you!

Designed by Cheerble Studio, Wickedbone is a bone-shaped interactive gaming device that performs like a truly smart, fun, and excitingly wicked companion for your dog. When your dog runs, Wickedbone chases it, creating an interactive fun experience for your pet! It can move and interact in 9 different ways, so your dog will stay engaged and entertained as it switches things up.

The pandemic has got us all being super cautious. Whether it’s face masks and shields, body suits, to PPE kits, we leave no leaf unturned in protecting ourselves from COVID-19. So, why should our dogs be an exception? Glen Wexler designed a product that is, well, very imaginative. He foresees us walking our dogs in huge transparent balls, which will not only prevent them from interacting or touching any outside surfaces but will also allow them to get their daily exercise. Is this the future of dog walking? I really do wonder.

Embellished with angular structures and elongated windows, the Deauville House by Bad Marlon Design Studio is a minimal little house for your dog. The windows allow sunlight and fresh air to freely flow into the dog house, allowing your doggo to wake up to the beautiful morning light streaming onto his face! What a perfect way to wake up in the morning.

The Fetch House (designed to shelter one incredibly happy canine) comes with a modular internal structure that allows you to compression-fit as many as a 1000 tennis-balls into it. The balls can randomly be pulled out of their individual enclosures for the purpose of playing fetch (hence the name), and can easily be press-fitted back in when done.  The Air Cage was designed to be a rent-as-you-go service but it can also be opened to buying. You get your carrier in advance so your pet can familiarize themselves with it and have lesser anxiety during the flight. On the day of departure, your pet will be comfortable in the Air Cage which you can then handover to the attendants without any worry because you will be able to monitor your pet throughout the journey thanks to an in-built device. Apart from the real-time camera monitor, the carrier has many features to keep your pet comfortable – a water bottle, a pet bowl, and a bowel pad too!

Pet Paws is a high-tech sanitizing mat used to clean, disinfect, and dry the legs of our pets as well as the soles of our shoes. The efficient product design is a simple roll-up mat that is easy to carry and store. It has two areas on its surface – the first section of the mat has a multi-directional cleaning texture which bends and cleans inside the paws in a friendly manner, and the second section of the mat has a cushioned texture which helps to dry the paws as the pet walks over the microfiber sleeve.

Ademir Bueno designed this comfy little dog bed for Tok&Stok. The pet bed is a perfect lounging spot for your dog. It could be his own private space, a safe haven of sorts for him to catch some z’s. Not to mention the bed is quite minimal and subtle, allowing it to easily integrate with your living space, without standing out or looking too bulky.

This outfit by Huts and Bay is the perfect Christmas present for your canine friend! The cute little onesie will keep him warm during the winter season, and not to mention he will look insanely adorable in it. Also, notice the tiny yellow pocket! Maybe you could pop in his favorite snacks in it, for him to munch on whenever he feels like.

This high-tech portable mat is designed to clean, dry and disinfect your pet’s paws!

If you have pets, you already know that you are an experienced cleaner – not just because you have to keep your home clean but also because you always have to make sure your pet is clean, that way you both remain healthy! When you take your pets out for a walk there is bound to be dirt that comes home with them, especially if you live in a place with a wet season. This obviously isn’t good for your home but also can cause infections for your pet if not cleaned out well. It can be a tedious task to do every time you step out with them and this concept design is aimed at giving pet owners a paw-some solution!

Both parts have a texture that has been cleverly selected to maximize the efficiency of the process by making sure it can clean inside the paws without any discomfort or complex steps. The ridged cleaning part is made of recycled tire rubber so it ensures durability and the set also includes a removable microfibre cover for the other half. The mat has a central indicator to fill up 500 ml of water for the cleaning process. The soft drying surface features suction dampers at different heights to make sure that all areas of the paws are covered. Once you are done, just roll the mat over so the water will flow vertically to the front pocket where it can be stored till you dispose of it. Tilt the mat and the smart draining mechanism will take care of the rest! I bet this works for kids too.

One zip is all it takes to clean this pet house!

I think the only argument you can have over a pet (I have it with my sister all the time!) is who’s going to clean up the hair they shed? It gets everywhere from your clothes to your furniture, and probably even your food. Your furry friend can’t help it, they will shed and it is impossible to get every last hair. But to make it easier, a Korean designer has created this pet house called Zipup which reduces the time and effort you spend cleaning. Also, how sleek does it look? It’s the kind of house a dog called James Bond would have!
