Hot Toys Wolverine 1/6 Scale Action Figure Looks Exactly Like Jackman
When it comes to realistic action figures for collectors, Hot Toys makes some of the best. Not too long ago, I talked a bit about a Black Widow action figure and it didn’t look much like Scarlett Johansson to me. It looked sort of like her, but it was off somehow. The same can’t be said for this new Wolverine action figure.
This action figure is based on Wolverine from X-Men: Days of Future Past and it looks like a one-sixth scale Hugh Jackman. Hot Toys did a fantastic job actually making this toy look like the actor. Tiny Jackman is dressed in the future Wolverine battle suit, and has metal claws, rather than past Wolverine’s gross bone projections.
It comes with 30 points of articulation, three pairs of interchangeable palms, one pair of metal claw fists, one pair of fists, and one pair of relaxed palms. The action figure will ship in August of 2015 for $249.99(USD), and you can pre-order it now over at Sideshow Collectibles.
HolyOOPS Geeky Metal Keycaps: The Bees’ Keys
If you’re looking for a way to customize your computer keyboard, check out HolyOOPS. Based in China, HolyOOPS makes CNC-machined keycaps out of aluminum or titanium. They feature symbols or characters from anime, comics and at least one TV series. Which is probably why they’re a bit low key.
According to the group-buying service Massdrop, which posted all but one of the images below, HolyOOPS’ keycaps are compatible with Cherry MX switches.
HolyOOPS has a Taobao shop where it sells its aluminum keycaps for between ¥160 (~$26 USD) to ¥259 (~$42 USD) each and its titanium keycaps for ¥300 (~$49 USD) each. However, I don’t know if HolyOOPS accepts international orders or how much it’ll set you back for the already pricey accessories. Thankfully as of this writing you can sign up with Massdrop to get the aluminum keycaps for about $28 each. GeekKeys also has the fist and the Bleach mask design for $30 each. HolyOOPS has also posted group buys on Geekhack a few times.

Artist Makes Awesome Pics from Duct Tape
Silence is golden, duct tape is silver… or orange, red, blue, or white. Duct tape can fix just about anything and is one of the best inventions ever. A artist named Rianna from DuctTapeDesigns has created some very cool art using duct tape as the medium.
Rianna does fantastic work and if I couldn’t see the detail showing the tape, I would think these were paintings. Doctor Who fans will immediately recognize the TARDIS and Dalek made from tape. I really like the Iron Man and Batman work. The Dexter one is also a favorite.
I always wonder how long it takes to make art like this. I’ve watched some artists work before and sometimes the process is much faster than you might expect, but these look really complicated. Which of these is your favorite?
