Build Your Own LEGO-Like Whataburger and Fries

Whataburger: I’ve never been. I imagine I’d like it because I love almost all fast food restaurants. They’re one of life’s guilty pleasures. And to immortalize their allegedly iconic burger, Whataburger’s online gift shop is selling a modular plastic BRXLZ Buildable Burger and Fries kit so you can display their food without worrying about attracting insects or vermin. The 994-piece BRXLZ (don’t call it LEGO) set has all the pieces necessary to construct a cheeseburger, fries, and food tray.

Will it last even longer than a preservative-laden McDonald’s hamburger? That remains to be seen, although my money is on the Quarter Pounder. I mean, even plastic breaks down eventually. Obviously, my wife would probably make her burger without the onions because she doesn’t like raw onions, only cooked onions. Me? I’ll eat onions any way I can get them, including off the floor. I’m not proud or embarrassed; just a little gross.

McDonalds Japan Rolls out Pumpkin Chocolate Fries

Literally, the day September rolled around, I started to hear advertisements for pumpkin spice this and pumpkin spice that on the radio. I can only assume this means that on college campuses everywhere girls are now wearing vests, tights, and Ugg boots while they sip their mocha crappuccino pumpkin spice lattes. Apparently, Japan has a pumpkin spice all the things problem too.

McDonalds Japan will be slathering their perfect French fries with unnecessary chocolate and pumpkin flavored goo for Halloween. It has the requisite orange and black color needed for anything fall themed.

These not all that great sounding fries will be available in Japan starting on September 28. All I want in my McDonalds fries is for the fry chef to add the right amount of salt. Low sodium fries suck.

McDonald’s Gloves Make Your Fingers Look Like French Fries

Ba da bop bop ba. I’m glovin’ it. Fans of the golden arches are going to love these gloves, which make your fingers look like french fries coming out of the fry box.

Who created such a thing? Someone who likes to make people hungry? Someone who is obsessed with fast food? Both. It is the work of Texas-based advertising agency Moroch. They created this clever pair of McDonald’s-themed gloves in 2010.

I can’t wait for some McNugget Mittens and the Big Mac bra that is sure to follow. Maybe they can make some arm warmers that look like McDonald’s cups too. I’m just bitter because I really want some fries now. Thanks, Moroch. Your evil plan worked.

Pizza With French Fry Dough (and a Side of Cholesterol)

Pizza and fries. They’re two of the best-selling offerings at fast food joints and for good reason: they taste great and they’re fattier than they should be. People have a habit of combining their favorite stuff to create something twice as awesome, and the folks at Foodinese recently accomplished that with their pizza with a crust made from french fries.

If you love pizza and fries as much as the average person, then chances are you’ve already attempted to make your own french fry crust. The crust fell apart for most people, so what’s the secret? For the recipe from Foodinese, it’s cheese – and lots of it. Making it sounds like a lot of work but the end result is more than worth it.

You can check out the recipe here.

Caloriegasmic: Pizza With French Fry Dough

Pizza With French Fry Dough

There’s nothing like some good ol’ food porn to wind the week down, and what we’ve got here definitely qualifies. It’s pepperoni pizza with a big twist: instead of boring dough, the crust is made out of french fries! That probably ups the calories by a couple thousand or so, but one bite and you’ll probably forget about your diet or your pledge to eat healthier.

A lot of people have tried but failed to make a french fry dough. The folks over at Foodinese finally figured out how to do it and the solution was pretty simple: hold it together with cheese. Lots of cheese.

Serve it with ketchup or ranch, or drizzle more pizza sauce on top and bite into greasy heaven. You can find the recipe here.

Giant French Fries Bed: Lay On a Bed of Ketchup

Supersize Bed

You probably shouldn’t get this bed if you’re on a diet. In fact, you shouldn’t be thinking about how much you want it either, seeing as you’re turning over a new leaf and aiming for a healthier lifestyle. But you want it anyways.

Fries are fatty, greasy, and totally unhealthy…but you love them anyway. Not that this Supersize Bed is anything like the real thing, but you won’t be able to stop thinking about fries and how much you want to stuff your face with them since you’ll be lying on gigantic fries pillows all night.

French Fry Vending Machine Dispenses Hot Fries in 90 Seconds

French Fry Vending Machine

This is one vending machine that I’d love to see in my office.

It’s a french fry vending machine and it dispenses hot fries in less than two minutes. This particular machine is located in Chaussee de Gand-Steenweg op Gent in Brussels, Belgium and it costs €2.50 (about ~$3.35) for a cup of hot, crispy fries. Buyers can choose to have their fries topped with either mayo or ketchup, although it’s too bad the machine doesn’t allow you to get both. You get a generous serving in the cup and I’m definitely willing to fork over a couple of bucks to get my fill of fries anytime I want.

My mouth is watering already.

The Ketchup King

OMG this Ketchup Presser is such a clever design! Its one of those things that requires very less explanation and the super cool video demonstrates exactly how you can consume ketchup with fries at your favorite fast-food joint without worrying about contamination through the paper mats or soiled ketchup pillow packs. Simple and Good!
