Ninja Ghost Lightclip iPhone Accessory
Turn your iPhone into a ninja ghost with the Lightclip. This 3D printed object simply slides over the back of your iPhone. Then you use any of your favorite free (or paid if you’re a baller) flashlight apps to shine the phone’s rear light. The light diffuses through the ninja ghost and you’ve got a cool, albeit battery draining, little light. (via likecool)
Ghostbusters Slimer Jello Mold
I don’t know about you guys but I ain’t afraid of no ghosts. Nor am I afraid of food products that wiggle. And I definitely ain’t afraid of no jello ghosts. Get your proton packs on your backs and make some snacks with the Ghostbusters Slimer Silicone Gelatin Mold. Because sometimes you have to ask yourself WWBMD (what would Bill Murray do?) Measures 9 by 5 inches and since it’s silicone you could use it for other things like cakes or ice (although obviously green Jello is the best). Who you gonna call?
Color Changing Pac-Man Ghost Lamp
Just take my money! Not only do these Pac-Man Ghost Lamps look really retro ’80′s style banging, they also change to whatever colors you want. Personally we’d recommend all blue all the time, just to be safe, but it’s your choice.
Each 7.8″ tall lamp has 16 different colors and 4 light effect modes (smooth, flash, strobe, or fade). A remote control lets you set the colors. It’s white when turned off (but why would you ever turn it off?) and you don’t even need a power pellet to touch it.
Remote Controlled Pac-Man and Ghost Set
Recreate Pac-Man in your home with the Pac Man & Ghost R/C Set. It comes with one Pac-Man and one Ghost (Blinky!). But this time there’s no maze, no power pellets, no fruit, it’s just one on one- mano a mano (or Pac-o a Ghost-o, I guess, my Spanish is a bit weak). Use the uber-cool infrared retro arcade style joystick to control your guy.
Yep it’s got legit Pac-Man gaming sound effects going on while you play. Who is the fastest? Comes in a set of 2, so everyone can play… and by “everyone” we mean you and one friend.
Video Game Roller Shades
Shades…the final frontier. Geek up your window coverings with these 8-bit roller blinds from UK based Direct Blinds. How cool would these look in your gaming room or a kid’s room? Available in multiple colors each of “ghost chaser” and “ghost” (actually it’s Pac-Man, as shown above). There’s “space alien” below or as you might prefer to call it- Space Invaders.
As you can see in the detail, the images of these iconic video gaming figures is actually composed of an array of retro video game controllers (and some newer ones like the Wiimote). Here’s Mario’s mushroom below.
They start at about $150, not sure if you can get them delivered anywhere outside of the UK.
Inflatable Pac-Man Halloween Decoration
Step up your Halloween decoration game this year and delight both kids and adults with a Pac-Man Runaway Ghost Scene Light Up Inflatable Yard Prop. It’s Pac-Man as a jack-o-lantern pumpkin trying eat the ghosts (hey Pac-Man, they have to be blue first!) This nylon super fun geeky inflatable measures 53″ tall and over 8 feet long.
I actually bought one of these for my own yard this year, cause I’m awesome, and it’s really cool but just note that it needs to stay plugged in to stay inflated. Comes with stakes to tether it down if needed.
This is the Modem World: So where are all the ghosts and aliens?
Each week Joshua Fruhlinger contributes This is the Modem World, a column dedicated to exploring the culture of consumer technology.
I love movies and books about ghosts and aliens, especially the older ones from an era when technology didn't allow too many special effects. For me, it's what you don't see that freaks me out.

Dig this cool Pac-Man Ghosts Necklace from Pixel Junkie Designs with matching earings. The necklace is $25 (and I don’t see the earings for sale, but maybe if you ask nicely?) which is well worth it to prove just how geeky and stylish you are. Although I do suppose that having Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man earings would be more appropriate.
Pac-Man Tables
I’m really digging these Pac-Man Ghost Tables from Masters of Fate (artist R.Fitzpatrick). They come in a whatever ghost color you want, or a custom color. Each one is hand cut, sanded, primed and then covered with 15-20 coats of paint. That sounds like a lot.
The tables come in various sizes from side tables to coffee tables to desks and kitchen tables. Each one takes 2 weeks to make by hand, right here in Austin, Texas. By here I mean there unless you are there in which case here for you actually is here, otherwise it’s there until you go there and there becomes here. (When will then be now? Soon.) Prices range from $145 to $495 depending on the table size you want. Pixel power!
