Star Trek Klingon Bat’leth Multi-Tool: Pocket Space, The Final Frontier

Because Star Trek is just as determined as Star Wars to have every product made available with their own theme, here is an officially licensed Klingon Bat’leth 6-in-1 multi-tool. The tool, available on Amazon (affiliate link), features a bottle opener, three different hex wrenches, a flat head screwdriver, a Phillips head screwdriver, a cord cutter, and a butterfly wrench. Unfortunately, an award-winning forehead is not included.

Will I be replacing my everyday-carry multi-tool with this one? I’m not sure; my current multi-tool is a 10-in-1, so that’s four more tools I wouldn’t be carrying. Plus, that one has pliers, and pliers are one of the tools I use most often. That and the tweezers. I get a lot of splinters because I don’t believe in shoes.

I do love the form factor. You know, I actually tried building my own full-scale bat’leth weapon last summer but abandoned the project when I realized there was slim to little chance it would end without me losing fingers. At least I’m realistic.

LEGO Klingon Bird of Prey Hates Federation Minifigs

Give a geek some LEGO and great things happen. Kevin J. Walter is one such geek who loves to build awesome things with the versatile building blocks. This awesome thing is a Klingon Bird of Prey and it took 25,000 blocks to build. The design is based on a blueprint he made way back in 2008.

That original concept needed 250,000 bricks, but this pared back version uses a tenth of that number. It still looks awesome. It measures about 71 cm (~28″) long, 42 cm (~16.5″) wide, and 86 cm (~33.8″) wide. Construction took about a year and a half using a bunch of parts form Bricklink.

Apparently the guns are made using parts from Bilbo Baggins’ front door. I don’t know why I find that so amusing. The finished Bird of Prey is very detailed and awesome. Check out more pics and the original blueprints over on Kevin’s Flickr page.

Paramount says ‘Star Trek’ fan film’s Klingon violates copyright

Ever since CBS and Paramount Pictures sued the makers of the Star Trek fan film Axanar, fans have been wondering: what alleged copyright violations were so onerous that lawyers had to get involved? Unfortunately, the studios are more than happy to ex...

Star Trek: TNG Foam Klingon Bat’leth is Better than a Nerf Sword

I always thought that Worf was one of the coolest characters on Star Trek: The Next Generation. I also liked the fact that he had a cool melee weapon called a Bat’leth. I always wondered how many Klingon’s chopped off their own fingers handling one of those wild curved bladed weapons.

Fortunately, this particular version will leave all your limbs and digits intact since it is made from foam. That means you can be the king of Nerf battles when you whip this thing out and commence to beating on chumps that are out of darts.

The foam weapon is based on one of the Bat’leth propsused in the series and is four feet long. You can pick one up at Entertainment Earth for $42.99 when it lands in April 2016. Pre-orders are underway right now.

Klingon Baseball Cap: Take Me out to the QujmeH moQ Quj

Worf was always one of my favorite characters on Star Trek: TNG. I liked his wrinkly head and he was always ready to put a smack down when needed. I always thought Worf was pretty lucky that Starfleet uniforms didn’t have hats – there’s no way that massive forehead would fit under a hat. It might fit if the hat was of Spaceballs’ Dark Helmet proportions, but I don’t think there would be honor in a hat that large.

If you like the Klingon honor system and want a hat to hold all your honor, this is it. The black baseball cap is embroidered with a red Klingon symbol. The bill of the hat has the sweet double-handed sword thingy, known in geek circles as a bat’leth.

Star Trek Worf Hoodie Keeps You Warm and Hostile

So you’re a Klingon who just earned himself a spot on the bridge of a Federation starship as the Chief of Security. What do you wear? This Star Trek Worf hoodie is a good choice.

This hoodie’s zip-up design is modeled on the two piece uniform seen in seasons three through seven of Star Trek: The Next Generation. It even has Worf’s sash printed on it. Your biggest challenge will be to NOT throw Wesley Crusher out of an airlock, but at least your uniform is unique. And do try to not be grumpy and aggro all of the time.

Winter Is Coming: Warm up with a Klingon Bat’leth Scarf

Cold weather is an enemy worthy of battle. And the only way to do battle with winter is to wear this Klingon Bat’leth scarf. It was designed by Kimberly Gintar, who has much honor.

Fight like the warrior that you are until your enemy has left this cold world and joined the next – then wrap it around your neck for a warm walk home. If you want to make your own glorious weapon/scarf you can, because the pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry for just $6(USD).

Anyone will look good in this scarf, but it will especially look great with your Klingon armor.

Klingon D’k tahg Letter Opener Slices Envelopes Where they Stand

I always thought the Klingon language was made up of sounds that were invented while people were clearing their throats. My favorite Klingon was Worf from The Next Generation and if you want to be a little more like Worf, you need this letter opener.

You can prove that your electric bill has no honor by slicing it open with the D’k tahg letter opener that looks like a little version of Worf’s own knife. The opener is perfect for hand-to-hand combat with pesky envelopes.

The D’k tahg letter opener is made from a zinc alloy. It measures 8″ x 3″ x 4″ and weighs about five ounces. Sadly, the secondary blades don’t spring open like the one from series – they’re fixed. It is an officially licensed Star Trek collectable and you can pick one up for $24.99 from ThinkGeek.
