Netflix May Be Working On An Animated Diablo Series
Seems like a lot of video games are getting turned into movies right now. Historically they don’t translate well. Which may be why Blizzard might be using a different strategy with Diablo. A report from Variety claims that a Diablo animated series is being developed by Netflix.
There is no official word yet from either company just yet, but an animated series wouldn’t surprise us. The Diablo franchise could use a boost right about now. There have been rumors of Diablo 4, and an animated series before and if true, this could be what Blizzard needs to spark some new interest in the now long-in-the-tooth gaming franchise.
Blizzard has said before that they had multiple Diablo projects in the works, so this could be one of them. The timing seems right too since Blizzard is bringing Diablo 3 to the Nintendo Switch this November. With its original release back in 2012, it’s an old game, so releasing an animated series would bring in some fresh players for sure. This could reinvigorate the franchise and give it some new life so it lasts for many more years to come.

The X-Files Featurette Will Make You Believe in Reboots
Back in the day, I was all about The X-Files. I loved that show and watched it faithfully in an era when shows were hard to record and if you missed it, you just missed it. Sadly, the last couple of seasons of the show left me disappointed, and the movie sucked balls. I’m hoping the rebooted series is a return to the show’s roots, and I hope the Smoking Man is in it.
From the looks of this 21-minute featurette, I’m hopeful that the new series that’s headed to FOX is more like the original than the movie. I am pretty pumped about this.
The crazy part for me is that Gillian Anderson looks exactly like she did back in the ’90s – still smoking hot. Check out the videos and get ready for the the two-night premiere on January 24th. In the mean time, here’s the first minute from the first episode:

The BBC is Resurrecting Robot Wars
Remember Robot Wars? The show that pits robot against robot in a fight to the death? Well, the BBC are bringing back the series with more robots and more destruction.
In case you don’t know, Robot Wars ran on the BBC between 1998 and 2003, and was hugely popular. Then came BattleBots which was a spinoff of the original idea for the United States version of Robot Wars, which itself had several spinoffs across the world. The new series will be filmed at a new custom built Robo-arena in Glasgow, Scotland. And just like the original, amateur robot builders will create and control their own robots and battle to become champion.
Since the technology has advanced quite a bit since the original show aired, this should be even more interesting. The show will be coming to BBC Two in the not too distant future, and hopefully we’ll be able to watch it here in the States somehow.
Let’s get ready to watch robots rumble!
