This iron attached to a table doubles up so you’ll never have to hide your ironing board again!

The Ensemble is a multifunctional ironing board that transforms into a mirror when not in use so you’ll never have to hide your ironing board again.

The days of shoving ironing boards into our coat closets and sliding them between laundry room shelves are finally past us. So are the days of bending over backward just to use them. Well, almost. Ensemble, an ironing board design concept from a team of designers with Off Garage design studio, aims to transform the ironing board into a multifunctional standing mirror that can spin over its two-legged base to become a horizontal ironing board.

The designers at Off Garage merged the ironing board with the mirror because they naturally go hand in hand. We iron our clothes, we wear them, and we use the mirror to tune up the finished look. It makes sense for both items to be in the same room, better yet, to be the same piece of furniture.

From one side, Ensemble is your traditional floor mirror with a two-legged base that’s connected to the mirror’s center, allowing it to tilt and spin over the floor base. When users spin Ensemble over, the ironing board function is revealed. Turning 90° in one direction, the mirror becomes a fully functional, horizontal ironing board.

Along the backside of the mirror and the ironing board’s front side, Off Garage incorporated a storage compartment where the iron, water, and perfume canisters, and brush plates are kept. With Ensemble, when users want to iron their clothes, instead of pulling from the far reaches of the coat closet, all you have to do is flip the mirror over and choose a brush plate for the iron before tending to the wrinkles of your clothes. In addition to the storage compartment, users will find a perfume steamer below a hanger to apply different scents to their clothes while steaming their wrinkles out.

The Ensemble has a two-legged base that hinges the mirror at its center to transform it into a horizontal ironing board. 

The Ensemble features a storage compartment at its bottom that contains the iron, brush plates, as well as perfume, and water cannisters. 

When the Ensemble is positioned for ironing, the heat-resistant plastic covering allows for safe steaming and ironing. 

Users can hang their clothes from the built-in hanger and then steam them with perfume scent to get the wrinkles out.

Users can easily pop off brush plates to swap them out for new ones. 

The water canisters are easily removable and can be refilled.

STIPFOLD, an architecture and design studio, develops projects that are meant to ignite your curiosity. Driven by the pursuit of singularity and the advancement of technology, the studio’s aim during the creation process is to construct buildings that leave an emotional mark, even if any given design doesn’t exactly match your style. Born out of a 6-hour long sketch period, Blackbird, STIPFOLD’s latest project does just that.

Blackbird is a getaway cabin that exists as “a place to be by oneself.” The getaway cabin, an angular structure of black mass combined with tinted glass and a jagged, haphazard display of metal beams, resembles a spaceship that can land in any environment. As conceptualized, Blackbird has landed in a Georgian forest clearing, amidst dense fog and textured pine trees, where it appears right at home. From the outside, below a white, cloudy sky, Blackbird’s asymmetrical frame has a tough exterior constructed from metal to provide a sense of security. Meant to dissolve the barrier between nature and the interior, the tinted glass windows evoke a feeling of privacy, like a lookout that allows its residents to remain hidden while scanning their surroundings.

STIPFOLD remains committed to blurring boundary lines in order to create unified spaces that permeate all of their designs. The same is true for Blackbird. Inside the getaway cabin, the different rooms seamlessly merge with one another, being only visually separated by means of interior design. The kitchen and resting area share the same room, but are separated by the kitchen’s island and resting area’s fireplace. Sharing the same exhaust hood, the kitchen’s aluminum-clad island merges effortlessly with the open fireplace. While the exterior of Blackbird works to ward off unwanted visitors, the interior welcomes all else with natural wood elements transparent, floor-to-ceiling glass pane windows.

These gaming controller’s buttons transform your smartphone using suction to stick buttons to your screen!

Controllers aren’t called controllers for nothin’– they not only control the game, but they provide the tool necessary to even play the game in the first place. Everything from the texture to the placement of buttons affects the game and it’s not a one-size-fits-all sort of deal either. Different games feel better to play when certain controllers are used. To build a new, adaptable gaming experience and to help declutter our controller cabinet, Juan Lee conceptualized Icon, a new customizable controller.

Icon consists of two handheld motion controllers capable of registering any one of the six provided control modules that prompt any given movement within a video game. Through magnetic linkage, the control modules, which are made from micro-suction rubber, can easily be attached and detached from the motion controllers. For example, when playing Super Smash Bros. Melee, a user can integrate the directional module into one of the motion controllers so that their character can easily change direction, jump up and down, and attack Luigi. The motion controllers come equipped with Bluetooth to connect to either your smartphone or smart television, also allowing for wireless gameplay.

Further incorporating the use of smartphones by means of an accompanying app, Lee designed Icon so that the control modules can also be attached to your smartphone’s touchscreen and registered as a controller when playing any given video game. Icon’s handheld carrying case doubles as a charging case so whenever you’re not playing Super Smash Bros. Melee, Icon can charge up and be ready for Luigi’s demise in Mushroom Kingdom whenever you’re ready.

This Audi-inspired electric scooter is designed to redefine sleek and safe commuting

I think it’s about time we all admit that scooters are cool – even those aluminum kick scooters that would sometimes slice your ankle in two when they swung around too quickly. Scooters have had some major developments in recent years. With suburban millennials moving to cities, getting around the city on electric scooters has almost become synonymous with ride-sharing. Thankfully, electric scooters look a little more grownup than those slim, foldable scooters we grew up riding around the block. Daekwang Kim recently developed his interpretation of the electric scooter, e-Tron, with inspiration from the automobile manufacturer, Audi, to bring an even sharper edge to the ever-changing electric scooter.

When it comes to production, performance, and style, Audi is consistently top-rated, which could explain the inspiration behind Kim’s e-Tron design. His interpretation of the e-scooter resembles the cool metallic finish we expect from Audi models, sporting a smooth, glacier-gray coating for the scooter’s bar and exterior deck. The deck is equipped with a non-slip, black, rubber-treaded grip so that while you’re coasting down the boulevard, your feet can stay firmly planted. You’ll find the electric scooter’s accelerating buttons on its handlebar, which is wrapped in a thin and smooth silicone grip for steady balance, without any moisture absorption. The scooter’s electronic display gleams front and center on the scooter’s handlebar. There, you can read the time of day, along with the e-Tron’s battery levels and changing riding speed.

While riding on scooters in cities is both convenient and a lot of fun, it can be dangerous without taking proper safety precautions, but e-Tron’s got us covered so we can ride easy. In addition to the electronic display feature, e-Tron rides with fully-integrating LED lights that can alert night drivers of your location on the road. Rear lighting for brake lights and turn signals take up the backside of the scooter so that you can share the road with drivers and pedestrians alike. On the scooter’s rear, an installed camera and radar sensor can inform users of oncoming traffic or people trailing behind the scooter. Users can also utilize an accompanying app for e-Tron models that provides any additional information regarding the scooter’s overall quality or the incorporated software such as the embedded camera systems so users can learn about their scooter all within the app. This three-wheeled scooter will wear a smooth as velvet exterior, cut your carbon footprint naturally, and offer some of the most advanced software available, so riding this scooter will feel as cool and swift as riding in an Audi.
