The Ripchair 3.0 Is an Off-road Capable Wheelchair
The Ripchair 3.0 by Howe and Howe Technologies is a high-powered wheelchair that provides off-road access to the disabled. It accepts your existing chair and allows people who ride in wheelchairs to go over terrain that they normally would stay away from.
The Ripchair has a 27 horsepower engine, so it can run all day long without loss of power like electric wheelchairs. Its ramp design allows users to roll up and attach most powered or manual wheelchairs. If your chair doesn’t fit, Howe and Howe says that they can modify it to accommodate any special needs or custom requests.
Each vehicle is completely customizable, whether you are talking hand controls, a winch, gun racks or extra storage. Yes, a rider could actually go hunting and bring back the corpse with this vehicle. It’s pretty impressive.

NERF Terrascout RC Drone Blaster Puts Eyes Out from Afar
Growing up, my brother was a nervous sort and you could freak him out easily with just about any toy that moved on its own. I’m pretty sure it had to do with the flick Child’s Play that we stayed up and watched late one night or maybe Maximum Overdrive, where everything wanted to kill you. At any rate, I frequently sent him into a panic by driving my remote controlled car into his room and crashing it into him repeatedly.
If we had this NERF Terrascout RC Drone Blaster, not only could I crash it into him, I could also shoot him right in the nads with a foam dart. We all know that’s the best place to aim for in a NERF war. The Terrascout has dart shooter that can hold up to 18 darts at once. That means you can get multiple nad shots off before you have to reload. It has tank treads for off-road capability and a 720p video recorder so you can record the nad shots to laugh about later.
The Terrascout will launch this fall for about $200.

The Scalevo Wheelchair Can Climb Stairs
Most wheelchairs have one major disadvantage. Like the Daleks of old, stairs stop them in their tracks. Not the Scalevo. This electric wheelchair is capable of climbing and descending stairs thanks to a set of tank-like tracks that can be lowered to keep the user level at all times.
No ramps are needed with this chair. When the user approaches a set of steps backwards with his or her back facing the steps, the treads come out. The chair is then lifted at an angle using hydraulics, allowing it to crawl up the steps, while keeping its passenger level. There are even two extra sets of wheels that pop out at the last step for a smoother transition back to flat ground.
The project is a collaboration between students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the Zurich University of the Arts.
This could revolutionize how people with disabilities people get around.
