Don’t Make a Flaming Moe in This Inflatable Moe’s Tavern

Remember the Inflatable Irish Pub from a last year? Well, the makers of that pop-up booze station are getting set to bring us an Inflatable Moe’s Tavern! You could always find some look-alikes and populate this bar yourself for an authentic experience. I’ll be happy to play the part of Bart and crank call you.

You can pre-order for it right now for $4500(USD).  Sadly, the price does not include a burping inflatable Barney or even Moe himself.

This could be your first step toward creating an inflatable replica of the entire town of Springfield.

Bart Simpson’s Megaphone Prank Recreated IRL

Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Bart finds all of those megaphones and breaks all of the windows in Springfield? Well, Kevin Kohler, better known as The Backyard Scientist has recreated the prank. Will it explode all of Homer’s beers in the fridge? Again?

Kevin lined up all 10 megaphones and screamed through them, just like Bart Simpson did in the episode. But did he recreate Bart’s shock wave throughout the city of Springfield? I won’t spoil it for you, but probably not. And nearby beers were safe.

He does create a feedback loop that was crazy loud though, and applies some science to figure out if speaking through 10 megaphones is any louder than speaking through a single megaphone. Now that he’s got all of these megaphones, I’d love to see some more experiments that use them.

Couple Recreates the Simpsons Kitchen

We humans tend to recreate what we love as a way of honoring these things. People recreate monuments in LEGO, fantasy landscapes in Minecraft, etc. Some folks have even recreated The Simpsons’ opening title scenes. However one couple decided to do something a bit different.

Marcia Andreychuk and Joel Hamilton from Calgary, Alberta have created a unique homage to The Simpsons. They made their kitchen look just like the TV show’s kitchen, right down to the corncob curtains, which they had to find online. The couple jokes that once the kitchen is complete, they’re going to transform their basement into Moe’s Tavern. I actually hope they do that.

Given their low budget approach, I think they did a pretty good job. At least Marcia didn’t have to dye her hair blue while her husband lost all of his.

Couple Joe Hamilton and Marcia Andreychuk are recreating The Simpsons kitchen in their own home.
