For Crafty Glues

AN-GLUE may come across as a frivolous solution to the glue stick design. But when you are the person who is sealing envelopes or gluing stuff; then you’re gonna be real happy that you have this angled design in hand. For the record, it can be difficult to see the paper when we are applying glue to it, because the gluing hand blocks our line of sight. The angled tip makes it easier to see the gluing path and is easier to use.

The base has a ridge that prevents the stick from rolling off the table. Although it is thinner than typical glue sticks, the angled tip makes the application diameter the same as thicker glue sticks.

AN-GLUE is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner.

DNP Android 42 camera, gallery ported to Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean411

So, you're loving the new gallery and camera options we saw on Jelly Bean 4.2 and have no intention of waiting for that OS for your former flagship Galaxy Nexus? A certain dmmarck on Android Central's forums has sorted that, and you can now grab the camera app for your so-last-month 4.1.1 OS on that handset. Other than a Photo Sphere bug, it's apparently working like the factory version, but newbies beware -- the installation requires some Android hacking chops. You can grab it at the source.

Pumpktris: Pumpkin With Playable Tetris

I know, I know — what’s with all the pumpkin posts?! Well it’s not my fault that today’s Halloween and everyone has amazing pumpkin carving skills except me. This is a Pumpktris, a pumpkin that you can play Tetris on. The stem works as the controller and the pumpkin’s configured with 128 LEDs and some technologies that are waaaay over my head. Yours too, just trust me. If you really want to try to understand the process, watch the video below. Granted I watched the whole damn video and I still don’t know WTF is going on. All I know is this thing’s bad to ass and I call dibs on playing next!

The phone and case was provided to us by CafePress, an e-tailer that not only specializes in custom cases but clothes, stationary, flair and plenty more. It's definitely worth a look-see, but not until after you enter to win this contest -- as well as the ones we started up Monday and Tuesday (they're still going)!

Marvel’s Superheroes Were Babies, Once Upon a Time

Superheroes were once babies, too. And it’s about time Marvel showed the whole world what they were probably like, via Skottie Young’s awesomely-rendered covers for the Marvel NOW! titles.

This is Skottie’s second batch of covers and he does a pretty bang-up job as usual, as you can see below.

Marvel Superheroes BabiesMomma Captain America seems pretty uptight, doesn’t she? This batch of variant covers features Punisher, Deadpool, Medusa, the Thing, and more as tiny and uber-adorable tots – each of who will eventually grow into some of the best crime-fighting superheroes the world has ever seen.

Baby Ripley Power Loader Costume Takes Down the Alien Queen (and All Other Costumes)

Well, Halloween is upon us yet again, and my favorite costume of the year has just dropped onto my desktop. What you’re looking at here is an awesome build of the power loader from Aliens, piloted not by Ripley, but by an actual baby.

baby aliens power loader

Yes. It’s just that great. The costume was posted by Redditor rdt156, and apparently his friend Jason Smith built it to seat not just his daughter, but he’s hiding in there somewhere himself.

Now all he needs to do is have his wife dress up as the Alien Queen, and the costume would be truly complete.

Real Boozy: World’s Strongest Beer

Ahhh, it’s Halloween and we’ve got pumpkin and booze posts galore! Just trying to capture what Halloween’s all about: getting so drunk you punch a pumpkin in the face. Next up, eating pillowcases full of candy stolen from the neighborhood kids until you pass out in the alley behind your apartment building! Jk jk, that’s my own personal tradition. Everyone knows the real meaning of Halloween is Satan’s birthday. Which reminds me — have a good one, you big red jerk! This is Armageddon, the World’s Strongest Beer. It’s 65% ABV which is 130-proof. It’s also proof that this stuff will get you all kinds of durnk. As it should, because for only 11 oz of drank, you gotta shell out around $64 — that’s like twice my booze budget limit!
