Star Wars BB-8 Waffle Maker: The Forks Awaken

I like Star Wars, and I like tasty breakfast treats, so the BB-8 Waffle Maker sounds like the perfect product to me. It’s just like other waffle makers, only instead of being round with little cubbies to hold syrup, this one makes waffles that look like BB-8 from The Force Awakens.

It has non-stick cooking plates on both sides and an on/off switch so you can just leave it plugged in and ready to cook in case of a waffle emergency. Just like an actual droid, an indicator light glows when it’s ready to cook you up some perfectly soft, yet crispy waffles.

It makes waffles that are 5″ x 6.75″, and I want to eat a stack of them right now. You can get your BB-8 waffle maker at ThinkGeek for $39.99 right now.

The best ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ toy gets even better

Sphero's BB-8 quickly became the most sought-after Star Wars toy when it was revealed last year. Now, the company is introducing a "Battle-worn" edition of the droid at IFA 2016, featuring a murky appearance that makes it further resemble the charact...

BB-8 Fire Pit: Pyro-Mech Droid

BB-8 is a fan favorite, loved every bit as much as R2-D2. So you might have noticed fans creating all kinds of BB-8 goodies over the last year. Now here he is as a fire pit. This thing is awesome and belongs in my yard.

It is a beautiful representation of the roly-poly droid. I always knew he had fire in his belly. It was custom made by Alex Dodson in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. To think, this guy started life as a 12.5 kg LPG cylinder and was then made into this amazing BB-8.

Too bad it doesn’t roll around like crazy, but I guess that would be a fire hazard.

BB-8 Tea Set: Tea-B-8

Some droids fix starships, others work in medical facilities or carry the Empire’s mail. Still others live to serve in the kitchen, like this BB-8 tea set.

At last you can have BB-8 serve you a steaming hot cup of tea. This cute set features a nested teapot and teacup done up with BB-8 details. It’s the next best thing to actually having a droid in your kitchen that will serve you tea and cookies. The teapot holds 12 ounces, while the cup holds 6 ounces. Both are made from high quality ceramic.

You can get this adorable set for $24.99(USD) from ThinkGeek. Sadly it won’t give you a thumbs up when you comment on how good your tea tastes.

Star Wars BB-8 Talking Fridge Monitor: The Fridge Awakens

BB-8 is everywhere. He is the true star of The Force Awakens. The latest merch to feature a likeness of the lovable droid is this talking BB-8 that’s designed to live in your refrigerator.

This little guy can detect the refrigerator’s door opening, and brings the droid to life with more than 20 pre-loaded audio files. If you leave the door open for too long, it’ll bleep and bloop like crazy. Its head moves around and you can keep it anywhere in the refrigerator.

This talking fridge toy is powered by two AAA batteries which will last for around 3 months before needing replacement, unless you open your fridge like crazy, looking for snacks. In that case they will need replacing more often.

The BB-8 fridge droid will cost you ¥4,860 (~$45 USD), assuming you can figure out a way to get one shipped from Japan.

BB-8 Xbox One Laptop: All-in-One Droid & Gaming System

Last year, console modder Ed Zarick showed off the aesthetic side of his customizing skills with an R2-D2-themed PS4 laptop. Now he’s back with another beautiful one-off, this time based on the new droid on the block.

This Xbook One is the same as Ed’s made-to-order Xbox One laptops, except its case has BB-8’s white, orange and silver patterns as well as LEDs on its lid. It also emits droidspeak when fired up, and comes with a similarly themed Xbox One controller.

His BB-8 replica totally stole the show. I don’t know if Ed is selling this particular unit, but he’s open to commissions so just hit him up on his website if you want one.

You may still be reeling from the recent sweep of date-related events (Pi day, Alien day, and 420) but the ride's not over yet. Tomorrow is May the 4th, which is observed by many as a Star Wars "holiday" and may garner a lot of attention this year on...

Sphero BB-8 Will Watch The Force Awakens with You

I already thought that Sphero BB-8 toy was pretty awesome. I even had a hex put on our fearless leader when he refused to rig the drawing so I could win the toy a few months back. I’m having that hex renewed as we speak because that Sphero BB-8 toy just got an awesome update.

bb8-moviezoom in

If you apply the latest update to the controller app for the toy, BB-8 will “watch” The Force Awakens with you. BB-8 gets all happy when Han and Chewie are on screen. He gets scared when Kylo Ren is on screen. He also toots his own horn when he sees himself on screen.

This is a very cool way to keep people interested in a toy a few months after they got one at Christmas. By “they” got one at Christmas I don’t mean me, apparently 40 something is too old to get a toy robot from your parents for Christmas. They should remember who gets to pick the nursing home.

BB-8 Cosplay Kid Is Adorbs

If you don’t find this little girl to be the cutest cosplay you have ever seen, you are clearly a hard hearted, sinister, evil SOB. This is one of the most glorious BB-8 costumes I have seen. Inside the little ball is a tiny little girl who is as adorable as they come.

bb8-cosplay-1zoom in

This thing gets me right in the AWWWWWWWWs. She even has a little blue puffy thing on her thumb for BB-8’s lighter.

I don’t know who made this costume, but it turned up at WonderCon 2016, and this little girl will win Halloween if she wears this again. Also, she wins a bonus prize for not being scared at all by that Alien xenomorph.
