One kettle’s better than two. Seriously!

No, I’m not having a stroke. The Multikettle concept by Jang Younghee ensures you won’t need two kettles. Designed to be a bachelor’s paradise, the Multikettle packs two heating compartments into one. To make things even more unbelievable/awesome, the upper compartment can be flipped over to be converted into a blender. That’s bloody right! The ultimate shoestring budget kitchen!

A Slow-Motion Video of a Drone Used as a Blender

Ever wonder why you wouldn’t want to get your finger caught in the blades of a drone? Watch this video and find out. Watching things like fruit, donuts, sausages and other things fall like rain in slow-motion and be chopped up by this drone’s blades is truly hypnotic.

This video from Speed Motion was shot at 1500 fps with a Phantom Miro camera from Vision Research, so that we can see clearly how well a drone running at full throttle can chop your food for you. Everything they throw at it is sliced and diced to perfection.

By the end this drone is just drenched in the guts of it’s many victims. The filmmakers say that, “no drones were harmed in the making of this video,” but if you watch all the way to the end, you’ll be pretty convinced that’s a lie.

Of Course an Apple Watch Will Blend

You can probably guess that I am a serious gadget hound. I like gadgets even if many of them are of questionable use. It’s sort of like a Dungeon Master collecting every die he can lay hands on just in case they ever need to roll a 1-in-50 chance of a Paladin getting demonic syphilis. That said, it irks me when people buy cool gadgets just to break them and send other geeks into nerdrage.

Perhaps the most famous YouTube channel for killing cool gadgets for no reason is Blendtec. This time out Blendtec took a brand new Apple Watch Sport, dropped it into the blender, and hit the power button. If you are an Apple fanboy or fangirl, look away.

At least they used the ugliest of all Apple Watches for the blend. At first, I thought the watch would make it, and then things went primal. Yes, the Apple Watch will blend. Check it out for yourself if you can stand to see wanton gadgetocide.

Clean – Blend – Clean

The Dual Mixer is a Blender that can sanitize all ingredients to be blended thoroughly, before you mix them up. The cleaning process begins inside the blender itself and the system takes care to wash off dirt, grime and microbes, using torque pressure to do the job. An interesting aspect for us to look into, what do you think?

A Mighty Mini Mixer

The compact Mirex food mixer was designed to combat decreasing kitchen sizes within the home. Despite its small size, the mixing bowl retains a substantial four liters thanks to a unique combination of compact pancake motor and novel pulley system to drive two linear whisks. This allows for a vertical, slim silhouette and overall size reduction that save valuable counter space and make storing away easy.

Explore Jerry Seinfeld’s Apartment Using Oculus Rift

Jerry’s Place is a project about nothing from programmer Greg Miller for the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. And it is unlike any other. This one recreates Jerry Seinfeld’s apartment from Seinfeld with 3D models created in Blender for the Unity game engine.

Greg says:

After purchasing the Oculus rift I started imagining what my first project might be. I decided to pick a project that would gradually introduce me to Unity without being overly complex. I was not new to 3D modeling, however this would be my first project in Unity. I came up with the idea of recreating Jerry’s apartment, in it’s entirety for virtual reality.

Jerry’s Place is available for download for Windows and Mac OSX on the project’s websiteSeinfeld fans are going to love spending some time with this one.

I wonder if Kramer ever bursts through the door.
