R2-D2 USB Cufflinks

r2d2 usb cufflinks R2 D2 USB Cufflinks
In Star Wars, R2-D2 got to hold, travel with, and transmit information about a certain princess who was in trouble and had only one hope- Obi Wan Kenobi. These R2-D2 USB Cufflinks R2 D2 USB Cufflinks also hold information and they have the added bonus of keeping your dress shirt’s cuffs from flailing out like a pirate backup dancer in Abba. Each cufflink holds 2GB of data in the little droid’s head, which according to my math is like 4GB total or something like that. Made of silver-plated enamel and comes in a gift box.

Pac-Man Cufflinks

pac man cufflinks Pac Man Cufflinks
Nothing wrong with a geek who gets a little dressed up yet still keeps it geeky. And to do that you’ll want a set of Pac-Man Cufflinks Pac Man Cufflinks because 8bit is forever. Stick it to the man, just like Pac-Man sticks it to those ghosts. Fight the power. Gotta love those 80′s (although if this was the 80′s your suit would be a horrifically day-glo color with massive shoulder pads and a bolo tie, player).

Cufflinks Feature Handcuff Key

If you’re in handcuffs, there’s a chance you’re in them for a good reason and trying to get out of them may end up getting you shot. So, don’t be breaking the law, yeah? But if, let’s say, you’re in cuffs for more benign reasons and want to get out of them, the Sparrows Uncuff Link will help you to freedom. It features a key in one of the pivoting arms that allegedly opens pretty much all Standard Hand cuffs. Of course the act of reaching for them with your hands tied behind your back requires some dexterity, but there you have it. At least you know you can pull some James Bond-like stuff next time the need arises.

$60.

Atari Paddle Earrings and Cufflinks Help You Breakout of Your Fashion Rut

I always wonder what became of paddle controllers. You know, like the ones that you used to play the Atari 2600 with back in the day. There are certain types of games – especially paddle ball and driving games – that lend themselves well to the single-axis analog control these primitive input devices provided. Well even if you can’t play your PS3 or Xbox 360 with a paddle, you can still have paddle controllers in your life, albeit as jewelry, not to play games with.

atari paddle controller earrings

These nifty little Atari 2600 paddle stud earrings were created by Catrina’s Toybox as a follow-up to her equally nifty Atari 2600 joystick earrings. These tiny paddles measure about 1cm in length, and are handmade from polymer clay and resin – along with a tiny Atari paddle sticker for added detail.

They’re also available as somewhat larger (1″ long) cufflinks, so guys and girls can both get in on the retro paddle action. I always wanted to play Super Breakout in formalwear, didn’t you?

Perhaps the niftiest thing about these mini paddle controllers is that they actually turn from side-to-side. You have to be careful with them and not spin them all the way around, as they are delicate. Not that I didn’t break one or two actual Atari 2600 paddle controllers in my time.

Both the paddle controller earrings and the cufflinks go for $25(USD) a pair – which, coincidentally is about what you’ll pay for a pair of real paddle controllers. Be sure to check out Catrina’s Etsy shop for many more great geeky jewelry items to add to your collection – including some great Hostess Twinkie earrings, sure to last about as long as the actual snack cakes.

Fancy Cufflinks Use Push Button Actuation

The cufflink has been around for a long time, but it hasn’t really seen much change in its design throughout those years. Why would it, since it works just fine? But it’s not a stable design with no actual need for improvement that’s going to stop anyone from trying. Since 2001, Richard Mille has been making some fancy watches with exotic new materials, and now he’s announcing a set of cufflinks to complement his elegant line of timepieces. The Richard Mille Cufflinks feature 38 components!

Made from grade 5 titanium, they inaugurate a groundbreaking and patented mechanism that opens the bars using push-pieces. Unlike the classic mechanism, where a pivoting bar on the cufflink holds the double cuff in place, Richard Mille’s design fastens the cuff using two titanium bars. These open with a simple press of the push-pieces and close by pressing on the top plate.

Yeah, the only reason we can think of for adding complexity to any design is to justify its sale at outrageous prices. In this case, there’s been no announcement regarding how much they’ll set a prospective buyer back, but you can be sure that it’s the sort of item that if you need to ask, you can’t afford.

Glowing Cufflinks For The Dapper Geek

By David Ponce

Unfortunate as some of us may find it and Silicon Valley influence notwithstanding, there are still plenty of occasions that call for formal dressing. But that doesn’t mean you have to leave your root behind. You can let some of your true geek fred shiny through by using the above iCufflinks. They’re made out of machined aluminum and are stuffed with a tiny circuit board and an LED and a battery. Put the battery in and they’ll start pulsating to a certain pattern. The best part is that it’s an open source system, meaning you can reprogram the pattern and have it be anything you want. Maybe you can set them to signal SOS in morse code to express your discomfort and dismay at being clothed in such an unbecoming attire. The CR1220 battery should last up to 72 hours, so you won’t run out of juice mid party.

They’re $128 at Thinkgeek.

Knife Cufflinks Will Make You Look Sharp

Are you a sharp dresser who isn’t sharp enough? Well, how about some real blades on your cufflinks? These cufflinks don’t just look like pocket knives, they are actually real mini pocket knives. At 7/8″ closed, they’re barely larger than the buttonholes they’ll be securing.

knifelinks1
They are pretty sweet, but the TSA won’t think so, so if you are wearing these, you better not forget if going to the airport. They will cost you $55(USD) over at YougNeek, which seems expensive, but they are actual sharp knives. They even come with a diamond dust sharpener.

They’re handy for cutting loose threads and the like, but you and I both know that these are for being the coolest guy in the room. Period. As ZZ Top said, every girl’s crazy bout a sharp dressed man.
