If Tesla Cybertruck and Karlmann King had an offspring, it would be this SUV built on Toyota Supra chassis

While Cyberpunk 2077 built up a ton of anticipation around the globe, the RPG game had chalk and cheese reactions owing to its game glitches (some real embarrassing). Ultra-futuristic vehicle designs have germinated from this very anticipation, letting loose the imagination of designers and creative artists. While this Cyber Supra by Instagram user (@flathat3d) looks right down the alley of the much-hyped RPG game, I’ll refrain from making any references, even though I so desperately want to! Keeping my imagination under check, and not treading those realms, while still making it interesting for all you design heads.

Alright, coming back to the core essence of this very sharp automotive design inspired by the most luxurious SUV on the planet – ‘Karlmann King’, it looks absolutely bonkers – fit for a Cybertruck lover. Even though the core inspiration for this concept is the $1 million upwards, bulletproof SUV – the name itself suggests it has that Tesla Cybertruck spirit brewing inside. Called the Cyber Supra, it is a Toyota Supra morphed into a hybrid Karlmann King and Cybertruck clone as far as looks are concerned. A Supra turned into a Karlmann King or a Cybertruck-like vehicle makes no logical sense at all – but then, we are talking about a concept here, right?

The vehicle is ultra-sharp and embodies a sense of stellar protection – much like the armor of a warrior (Mandalorian Beskar to be precise) for the highest level of protection in event of a life and death situation. If we talk of pure creativity this one is right up there with one of the most sought out visual aesthetics for a future-forward concept drive. Elon will be so proud to see this one right now, that’s if you never told him, it’s actually built on a Toyota Supra chassis!

Tesla Cybertruck-inspired camper trailer for Tesla fans who can’t just wait for the truck!

If you’re waiting to drive the most outlandish vehicle of our time, the wait is going to be a little bit longer. Allegedly ballistic and tougher than a tank – the Tesla Cybertruck is not going to be a real deal any time before the end of 2021. If you can’t wait that long to get into a Cybertruck – there are a few rip-offs you can get into right away. But if you’re an outdoorsy person, you’d want the imitation to take you off-road and into the woods where you can relax for a night or two under the starry sky.

Ivan Zheltonogov thinks the latter is a good idea. A reason the designer/DIYer from Russia has built what he calls the LandTraveler Cybertruck – which can be instantly identified as an eye-catching Tesla’s futuristic truck-style camper trailer you can tag along behind the EV. From the look of it, you’d expect the motorhome to look best tagged behind a Cybertruck, but if you don’t want that, it can even tow behind the Model X, Model Y, or any other capable vehicle and still look futuristic.

The LandTraveler doesn’t just look futuristic – it even scores high on the camping trailer aspect. It is well equipped with all the necessities for a night well spent in the outdoors. The camping trailer is made from composite aluminum on the outside and comes complete with a bathroom, a kitchenette, dining cum sleeping area, and lots of skylights to ensure the compact interiors are well lit throughout the day and present a panoramic view by the night. For some off-grid capabilities, the LandTraveler is fitted with roof-top solar panels, a 100-liter water tank, and a heater to keep you warm when away from home.

The entry to the trailer is through the compact bathroom that features a commode, sink, shower and storage space. Separated from the bathroom by a screen, the living space on the far-end – that is also the dining and sleeping area -has a large skylight that can be covered by a blind for privacy. Ideal for a couple, the LandTraveler has a dining table that folds to include the seating and transforms into a double bed. This Cybertruck-inspired camper is a real deal in Russia and there are accounts of people already buying it. It is priced at RUB 1,490,000 (roughly $20,000) and can be customized to your needs if required. Delivery Stateside is not specified, but if you’re interested, Ivan can be contacted.

The Droog E-Fighter V2 is like a post-apocalyptic Tesla Cybertruck on two wheels

Taking low-poly grunge as a deliberate design direction, the Droog DM-017 (also known as the E-Fighter V2) was designed to be the kind of e-bike that mirrors the anarchist end-of-the-world vibe this year has been so far. Building on the original E-Fighter, the V2 features an upgraded battery pack and brushless 2020 DS motor by Zero, sitting underneath a faceted distressed-metal body that does a great job of adding character to the bike… a feature that’s only further reinforced by the e-bike’s solid all-terrain wheels.

The E-Fighter V2 also comes with an unusual headlamp that shines through two slits in the front metal panel. This linear lighting approach mirrors the Cybertruck’s style, and can even be found on the back with the light-strip taillamps. While the aesthetics hint at a combination of futurism and performance, the bike is, in fact, built to live up to those expectations. The brushless motor from Zero gives the E-Fighter V2 80 lb-ft of instant torque and a top speed of 100mph. The e-bike even features upgraded suspension in both front and rear wheels, with adjustability on the fly, and a Bluetooth-enabled app that allows you to change parameters as well as monitor your bike’s performance. When all’s said and done, you can simply plug the e-bike into a 110V charging point to juice it up overnight… that’s if there is a functioning power-grid in the post-apocalyptic world.

Tesla Monster Cybertruck Concept Looks Straight out of Damnation Alley

The Tesla Cybertruck already features a bonkers design that looks like something out of a 1980s science fiction movie. The angular, all-electric pickup truck has a pretty intimidating presence as shown in factory form, but it’s definitely more of an urban assault vehicle than something you could seriously take off-road. Now, thanks to a talented 3D illustrator, we have an idea of what a more rugged version of the Cybertruck might look like. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Tesla Monster Cybertruck…

This lifted Cybertruck concept was created by 3D modeler Shubbak3D to help promote their design services. It looks pretty amazing with that massively-raised suspension and riding on enormous off-road tires that look like they could make quick work of sand dunes. The design also features a custom-fitted metal roof rack that attaches to the Cybertruck’s bed, offering storage space for Overlanding equipment.

Click to the second picture in the Instagram post below for a view that shows off the truck’s backside:

Amazing work, Shubbak3D! I just want to know when we can buy one of these monster Cybertrucks so I can hit the trails or crush some cars with it.

This Ford F-150 fan-made concept looks arguably better than the original

Anyone else felt like Ford’s response to the Cybertruck fell a little flat? No? Just me? Well, after Ford was absolutely showed up by the guys at Tesla, who dragged the company’s F-150 truck uphill to prove how much sheer power the Cybertruck had, it seemed like Ford was due for a major rebuttal, but here’s what happened. The company unveiled its latest offering, and while on paper, the 2020 F-150 looks like an absolutely capable contender, it still falls into the aesthetic trap of being yet another pickup truck. Now mind you, I believe the Cybertruck’s design is a bit too radical, and there’s definitely a sweet-spot somewhere in between, which trucks like the Nikola Badger fall very close to… but the 2020 Ford F-150 feels like they simply taught an old dog new tricks.

Mo Aoun’s rendition of the 2020 Ford F-150 (which made its way to Behance months before Ford’s official unveil) arguably presents a better visual direction for the pickup. Aoun’s conceptual F-150 embraces the use of blockish forms and straight lines. Curves are judiciously used in the F-150 concept’s design, and when they are, they’re incredibly tight or limited to being radii between two straight lines. Aoun’s concept even embraces the splitting of the car’s blocks by using molded plastic inserts that cover the gap between the truck and the bed, allowing the car to have a two-tone paint-job in the process (in this case, blue and black). Another interesting deviation in Aoun’s design is the flipping of Ford’s box-bracket-shaped headlights to create winged headlights that definitely give the car a different appeal without taking away from its rugged, steadfast character. Overall, Aoun’s F-150 concept does one thing that Ford’s production model doesn’t. It possesses the ability to linger on in the mind.
